Tag: What the Bible says about God’s faithfulness

Bible Verse of The Day – 12-25-21

Psalm 119:160 (NKJV) 160 The entirety of Your word is truth, And every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever.

We must believe the whole Bible and take to heart the things that God has spoken to us.

Stand on His Word no matter what we see going on around us. Keep our hearts focused on Him, and don’t look back.

This place we live in is only temporary. But while we are here, we must take action as God’s children.

His promises have been given to each and every one of us.

If we need salvation, it’s in Him.

If we need hope, it’s in Him.

If we need deliverance, it’s in Him.

If we need healing, it’s in Him.

He is everything. And we can do nothing without Him. We must abide in His truth.

John 15:5 (NKJV) 5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

He will carry us through the hardest times we have ever had to walk through and get us to the other side!

So many of us struggle with this when things begin to fall apart around us. We lose sight of Him and begin to grow weary if we are not careful.

Galatians 6:9 (NKJV) 9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

Losing heart means that we begin doubting His very words, and giving up.

Hold tight. He is faithful to get us to the other side! Amen.

Merry Christmas to you all!

Bible Verse of The Day – 11-29-21

Genesis 22:13 (NKJV) 13 Then Abraham lifted his eyes and looked, and there behind him was a ram caught in a thicket by its horns. So Abraham went and took the ram, and offered it up for a burnt offering instead of his son.

Throughout my life I have seen the faithfulness of God in many, many situations, in ways that have just blown my mind.

Most times He does things that don’t even begin to fit into the box of our imagination.

We can fret, worry, scheme and try to figure things out. Then along comes God. And before we can even begin to comprehend what He’s doing, He fixes things. And we are left with our jaws hanging open in awe and wonder.

That’s my God, my Father, my Creator.

This is the God who chose to come to earth in a human body, in the form of the Son, Jesus Christ, to walk among us, demonstrate God’s love and, mercy and compassion for us, and then die in our place on the cross, for my sins and your sins.

He is too big to fit into our tiny thinking.

Why?

Because His thoughts are higher than our thoughts and His ways so much higher than our ways.

And that’s 100% fine with me. So, I will live my life to follow Him, walk the path He has set before me to walk, and worship Him in Spirit and in Truth.

Isaiah 55:9 (NKJV) 9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.

Bible Verse of The Day – 9-21-21

Matthew 19:26 (NKJV) 26 But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

We are so very thankful today for each and every one of you. Thank you for listening to the Holy Spirit as He directs you in your giving to help this work at Seven Seas Ministries.

You have helped us reach the nations, day by day.

It is more than we ever thought we would do in a lifetime. And yet, here we are, doing just that, with your incredible help.

It’s a funny thing, because we don’t even want to know the number of people we reach, their location or even how we reached them. Because we know it is God, not us.

We are so grateful that He brought you alongside us to help. We could never do this on our own. Never.

Many years ago, when we decided to walk this call out. God gave us a vision. In this vision He showed us our home, right in the middle of a valley.

There were thousands of people all around the home. He told us, “they will take care of you and provide what you need”.

That was shocking, because we started out with just a few people receiving our emails.

How would it get to that point without Him? How, since we’ve never even met most of you face to face?

But guess what; with God, all things are possible!

You are connected to us through the Holy Spirit. We have never met most of you, but we are one in His Spirit. Those we have met, it seemed like we knew them all our lives.

What God is doing is amazing. We live in a miraculous situation every day, never knowing who will help us, or how it will happen, only trusting God to move on the hearts that will follow.

Thank you for listening. And not only that, but for taking action. You are doing a mighty work on this earth.

May He bless you, your home, work place and anything you touch. May you reap from the seeds you have sown out of obedience, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

We love you all, and we are grateful, even if we have not met you yet. We will all be together some day, where we will celebrate our Miracle Maker!! Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-9-21

Hebrews 11:39 (NKJV) 39 And all these, having obtained a good testimony through faith, did not receive the promise…

God’s promises are true. He is faithful to keep them.

This is something that most of us know already. But it’s good to be reminded once in a while.

On that note, it’s also good for us to understand that sometimes we may not see the fulfillment of those promises, even when God honors them and brings them to pass.

Scripture gives many examples of people who had received promises from God, but never got to see the fruition of those promises. God still fulfilled them, though, sometimes centuries later.

The timing in which God honors His promises is something that we don’t always understand. It’s also something that we may not like. But, as we all know, God knows better than us and does what is right, not what pleases us.

One of the important things that we need to watch is that the thing we are waiting on is actually a promise from God, and not just a desire that we have brought before Him in hopes of an answer.

There is a big difference between the two!

Sometimes our emotions will make it hard to differentiate between them. But if we pay close attention to the Holy Spirit, He will always be faithful to show us. We just have to be willing to listen and acknowledge what He shows us.

So, remember that if God has truly promised us something, not seeing it happen during our lifetime doesn’t mean that it won’t happen. If God promised to do it, He will, when the time is right.

Seek God. Listen carefully for His voice. Trust Him.

He is faithful.

Bible Verse of The Day – 6-30-21

Zechariah 4:6 (NKJV) 6 So he answered and said to me: “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the Lord of hosts.

An angel of God had come to Zechariah with a vision that was meant to comfort a remnant of the people of Israel, who were in exile.

They longed to be able to return to their homeland, Israel.

Their heart’s desire was to rebuild the temple of God and wait upon the return of the Messiah, bringing the fulfillment of God’s promises to His people.

They were up against circumstances that looked impossible by human logic and human understanding.

But, as the angel spoke to Zechariah, he assured him that God had a plan, and that it would be fulfilled.

The catch, though, was that these plans would not be carried out by traditional power or might, but by the Spirit of God Himself.

This is very fitting for us today.

We are witnessing so many events on a global level that are 100% evil in their origins, displaying corruption on a scale not seen before by most of us.

And it makes us wonder what will happen next. How will this evil be overcome and brought to its knees? How will justice prevail in such times as these, where depravity is the norm for so many?

I don’t have the exact answer, nor the timing of it. But know this; God is on His throne, and none of this is too big for Him.

None of this has caught Him by surprise. Evil will be crushed, in one way or another.

And while I may not have an exact answer as to how it will play out, I know beyond a doubt that it will not be by human might nor power, but 100% by the hand of God, by His Spirit.

In that, I rest. In that, I hold confidence. And in that, I have the peace of God that surpasses all understanding.

Philippians 4:6-7 (NKJV) 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Bible Verse of The Day – 6-24-21

Romans 12:9 (NKJV) 9 Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good.

I love how Paul tells us how it’s done; 3 very important things to pay attention to.

Love without hypocrisy. In others words, make sure that when we love, we mean it. No faking it in this walk.

Some people are good at faking their love. We wouldn’t even know they were faking it if God didn’t show us. That’s why we need Him.

One day, in a vision, God showed me a person that I cared about deeply. They were stabbing me in the back with a knife, laughing all the while.

I was like, “no way, God. It can’t be. They love me!”.

Well, it turned out to be true, and it happened.

When God shows us things like that, pay attention. Don’t be like me, arguing back, saying, “no way, can’t be”. God’s not going to make things up.

To abhor evil means that we hate it or despise it.

Don’t give into bad talk or filthy gestures. Don’t even entertain those thoughts for one second.

Don’t give into anything that we know is bad. It’s bad and we don’t need to be a part of it or have anything to do with it. Walk away.

For those of us stuck in a situation where we don’t know what to do, we need to seek God on how to get out of it. He will give us wisdom as to the best way to handle it.

Find the good, and don’t think that just because we may have done wrong throughout our life that bad will have a grip on us. No. Turn from it and get with God.

He will help us to change our path. He will help us turn our lives and our situation around. He is our Father. What Father would not help their child?

God is good…cling to Him.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NKJV) 16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Rejoice.

Bible Verse of The Day – 4-29-21

Psalm 30:12 (NKJV) 12 To the end that my glory may sing praise to You and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever.

God is good! We sing praises and thank Him forever and ever. Amen.

We wanted to take today and say two words to you all as well, you most fearfully and wonderfully made people that God has divinely connected us with.

Psalm 139:14 (NKJV) 14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.

Thank YOU!

Thank you all for being so kind and uplifting to us during this season of losing my (Pastor Ellie’s) dad.

Your prayers, emails, cards of encouragement and your financial support have truly brought healing to our hearts, strength to our bones and peace to our minds.

God is moving through you all and we are grateful and honored to see it and be a part of what He is doing all around this world.

Through His Spirit, we stand together in unity and in love. We are family.

With God, the word loss is not in our vocabulary. But, instead, LIFE is forever and evermore!!

We rejoice with you all today. Through Christ we win!

Thank you so very much for your heartfelt condolences. You mean the world to us. To God be the Glory!

We Love You…

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-2-21

Isaiah 43:2 (NKJV) 2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you.

What a friend we have in Jesus!

He will pass with us through the waters. What waters are we walking through today? Are they murky and full of weeds, causing us to not be able to see the bottom?

Is it a stormy rough water, splashing over the top and filling the boat? Is it causing us to be tossed back and forth?

He says here in Isaiah, “I will be with you”!

Has the heat been turned up and things are getting hard to deal with? Is our situation getting worse? Are our finances drained, or our marriage on the verge of total loss?

How about our walk with God? Is the pressure of things causing us to doubt Him?

He says, if we walk through the fire, we shall not be burned. When we come out not even be scorched.

Why?

Because God will be with us.

He is our comfort. Cry out to Him for help today and He will carry us through in ways we never thought possible.

We are coming out of this together!!

Dear God,

Please help me. I don’t know how to cross over the murky waters or walk through the burning fire. I need YOU, Your direction and Your protection today.

Thank you. In Jesus’ name I ask. Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 2-17-21

2 Peter 1:5 (NKJV) 5 But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge,

Greetings!

Yesterday we started off with 2 Peter 1:10

We began breaking it down so we could get a better understanding of exactly what this verse means to us as believers.

When we left off yesterday, we had just touched on verse 4 and discussed what that verse means for us, as children of God.

Now, let’s move on to subsequent verses.

As we finished verse 4, we discovered that God has given us His divine nature, and He has given us an escape from the depravity that is in the world.

Verse 5, above, tells us that because of what was shown to us in verses 3 and 4, we should be diligent, adding to our faith, virtue and knowledge.

Verses 6 and 7 then go on to tell us to also add self-control, perseverance, godliness, brotherly kindness and finally, love.

Verse 8 tells us that if these things are ours (if they are present in our walk), and if they abound (if they are plentiful in our lives), we will neither be barren (literally translated as useless) nor unfruitful in our knowledge of (our walk with) Jesus Christ.

So, the summation of this, which is found in verse 10 (where we originally started yesterday), is that if we are truly walking with God, through faith in Jesus Christ, these attributes should be present and active in our lives on a regular basis.

If they are, it will be evidence of our faith. Additionally, it will also help to prevent us from stumbling (falling away).

If they are not, verse 9 tells us that we are shortsighted (even to the point of blindness), and that we have forgotten that we have been cleansed from our old (past) sins.

Lastly, verse 11 states that if we make our calling and election sure (following the patterns of verses 3-8), ” an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ”.

Now that’s encouraging!

We hope you have enjoyed this breakdown of 2 Peter 1:3-11 and found it to be revealing and uplifting.

Bible Verse of The Day – 2-15-21

2 Corinthians 4:16-18 (NKJV) 16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. 17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, 18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

God is incredible in His wisdom and unlimited understanding. His omnipotence is beyond comprehension.

We can face so many different things in our lifetime. But God tells us that these things are simply light and momentary afflictions. He also tells us not to lose heart.

We have learned to trust God by the things He has brought us through.

We are here today because He has kept us standing when I thought we would no longer be able to stand.

He has brought us through the fire, so to speak, showing us many great and mighty things in the process.

It’s because of this that we can stand and proclaim His goodness and His faithfulness, even in the darkest of times.

And when confronted by anyone who may say that they’re not sure if they believe or not, I am always quick to say, “There’s no way I can’t believe. I have seen way too much”.

Yes, sometimes when we’re each going through our personal trials, they may seem as though they will kill us.

But it’s during these times that we can see God move the strongest on our behalf. We see our faith grow. And if we let Him, He will teach us to trust Him more than we would ever believe possible.

Every trial is different. Every situation is different.

And God moves differently in every situation. He is not a cookie-cutter God. He is not fenced in by our ideas and our finite understanding.

I write today to urge you to trust Him wholly. And don’t lose heart in your hour of testing, temptation or trial.

Don’t give up.

In fact, press in even more closely to Him when facing these kinds of times.

And as you do this, He will give you eyes to see and ears to hear.

He will show you great mysteries that will give you a deeper understanding and a deeper walk with Him.

We urge you today to seek Him. Seek Him on a level at which you have never sought Him before. Press in to Him. Draw near to Him. Call to Him.

Trust Him. And don’t lose heart.

He wants to show us so much. We just have to ask Him for it.

Jeremiah 33:3 (NKJV) 3 ‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’

Bible Verse of The Day – 1-2-21

1 Corinthians 1:9 (NKJV) 9 God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

I think these are the words I use most whenever I hear of troublesome times for people.

I remember when my Dad was going in for heart surgery. I felt so weak at the knees that day that I could have literally just dropped.

But Someone held me and carried me through. That Someone was God.

When we are in our weakest moments, and we feel like we are just going to drop right to the ground, God’s arms are right there, waiting to carry us and bring us through whatever battle we are facing.

Yes…it’s OK to admit we are weak at times.

I remember crying out to God. All I could say was His name. Those are the moments when we know that God has our back.

Let me say to those who are weak today, “You’re tired from the battle and your strength may be all used up. Call on the One who can carry you the rest of the way”.

Psalm 57:2 (NKJV) 2 I will cry out to God Most High, To God who performs all things for me.

He is faithful!
