Bible Verse of The Day – 6-11-12

(Rom 2:11 NKJV)  For there is no partiality with God.

The world we live in is full of partiality, prejudice, political corruption, racism, and so much more.

God shows none of these. He is true and unbiased. This is true even within our own lives. He doesn’t have to bend or change to suit our opinions, our motives or our agendas.

We can have twisted ideas, but God doesn’t have to honor them just because we might happen to express them in His name!

In fact, God is the one who can break the chains that hold us in captivity because of things we might have been taught or theories that we have formulated in our minds that don’t line up with His word.

We encourage you today to seek God’s truth with regard to what you believe and why you believe it. So many of us walk through our lives as believers, knowing beyond any doubt that God is real, but maybe never really questioning why we believe what we believe, by comparing it to His word.

Dig into His word. Let God speak to you, pushing aside every preconceived idea, and let Him speak truth into your heart. It’s OK to check what you believe by comparing it to the Word. His word keeps us lined up with Him and protects us from falling prey to incorrect teaching.

Bible Verse of The Day – 6-4-12

(2 Sam 22:31 NKJV)  As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the LORD is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him.

Do we ever second guess God?

Sometimes it’s easy to look at what’s going on around us and start to doubt Him. Lots of times we start trying to take control of a situation when we see that it’s not going the way we think it should.

But God’s ways are perfect. He can’t fail us. We can miss Him, but He will never fail us. He can’t. It’s not possible.

Any time we’re in a mess, we can always count on it being our own fault or maybe someone else’s fault, but we can never point the finger at God.

We need to let God be our shield. Do we trust Him enough to do that?

The best thing we can do in our lives is wait on God, trust Him and let Him be God.

He does a lot better job with it than we can ever think of doing!

Bible Verse of The Day – 6-1-12

(Heb 11:8 NKJV)  By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going.

Do you ever feel like you need to take a step, but you’re afraid because you don’t know what is going to happen when you do and you’ll never know what would have happened if you don’t?

So you just don’t move at all. In some cases it’s good to just wait. But, there are cases where you will have to take steps and move forward without knowing what lies ahead, especially if God is leading you to do so. He is not always going to spell it out for us… if He did where would faith come in?

Don’t be afraid to step out and go and do things you’ve never done before if God is leading you. Just make sure it’s God leading you and not your own will kicking in.

Some ways to tell if it’s God is that it does not bring confusion. No matter how hard it may be or scary it may seem, there will be a peace; a God-given peace.

Whatever God has you do will not hurt your marriage or your children. If you’re making a decision, both people in a marriage should be in agreement. God will not ask you to do something if it hurts your spouse or your family in any way. Family is important to Him.

Be careful, be sure it’s God and then trust Him to see you through!

Bible Verse of The Day – 5-30-12

John 8:36 NKJV)  “Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.

The Israelites had been set free from slavery. Moses brought them out of Egypt to take them on a journey to go to a new land; the land which God had promised them.

It happened by way of miracles that God performed through Moses to get them out from under the hand of Pharaoh. God performed miracles time after time to get Pharaoh to let His people go!

When the people of Israel were released, they were happy and excited at first. But, as time went on. they found things to complain and murmur about. Even the miracles that God did for them weren’t not good enough anymore. In their discontent, they actually wanted to go back to Egypt, the land that God set them free from!

Are we feeling the same way today? Has God set us free from our Egypt? It could have been our friends or family that hurt us or took advantage of us, jobs that caused us stress, debt, addictions, our lack of knowledge in certain areas, etc. Are we longing to go back because maybe the new things aren’t as easy and the grass isn’t as GREEN as we thought it would be?

When Jesus sets us free He promises that WE are free indeed! We can’t let our flesh cause us to go back, no matter how hard it may fight us. We need to stay strong, letting God lead us to the promised land which He has for us.

You will see it is all worth it!!

Bible Verse of The Day – 5-17-12

(2 Cor 4:17-18 NKJV)  For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, {18} while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Wow… now how many of us can honestly say that we think of our trials in that way?

As we go through the things that come our way each day, each week and each year of our lives, how awesome is it to know that they are only temporary? No matter how tough things get, they are not here forever, but just for a while.

God has created us to be eternal beings, living a natural life while we’re here on earth and then living eternally when our time on this earth is done. We should understand fully that there is more to our lives here than just things in the natural… that even though we live in a tangible, natural environment, there are many things that happen in the spiritual realm, behind the scenes.

But even in this, we know that everything we go through will bring us closer to God and bring honor to His name, if we let it.

What are you going through today? Are you fighting any battles? Some of us are facing some very tough things; decisions, choices, accusations, persecution, loss of loved ones, loss of finances, divorce, breakups, homelessness, despair, depression. The list could get pretty lengthy, because we’re all facing something!

But know that God is working things out within us and strengthening us through every one of these trials. No matter how tough it gets, cling to Him and trust Him with every fiber of your being. Don’t give up hope.

Bible Verse of The Day – 5-1-12

(Heb 6:15 NKJV)  And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

Abraham waited patiently for God’s promise. It wasn’t easy for him, but he did it. And he obtained the promise.

It isn’t always easy for us to wait, but sometimes this is just what we need to do… wait.

Waiting is probably one of the hardest things for us to do as humans, but if you really look at it, waiting patiently is a sign of our faith and trust in God.

If we get impatient and start taking matters into our own hands, we’ll probably get ourselves into trouble.

So if you’re in “waiting mode” right now, let God stretch your faith so that you can wait on Him and you can obtain His promise for you.

Bible Verse of The Day – 4-30-12

(Phil 4:13 NKJV)  I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

There is not a single person reading this who hasn’t faced at least one situation where they have felt inadequate, intimidated or overwhelmed. We all face this from time to time.

But God’s word tells us that we can do ALL THINGS thought Christ.

He is our strength. He is our source of strength. In Him, we can do all things, even when we feel inadequate, intimidated, overwhelmed or anything else that might make us turn away from something that we’re facing.

This is not just another pep talk or “feel good” message. Through Christ, we have what it takes to make it… to make a difference in our own lives and the lives of others, even when we face tough circumstances and situations.

Fear is not of God, but of the enemy of our souls. Don’t give in to fear. Rebuke fear in the name of Jesus and pull your strength from Him.

Today, as you face your fears and your trials, take a deep breath and draw your strength from Jesus, and put one foot in front of the other. Move forward and don’t look back.

Bible Verse of The Day – 4-26-12

(2 Th 3:5 NKJV)  Now may the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the patience of Christ.

Patience. I doubt that there is a single one of us who shouldn’t be more patient at some point each day.

The world moves at such a fast pace these days. It doesn’t matter where we live. Everything moves much faster than it did 20 years ago.

This fast-paced world has sucked all of us into wanting everything instantly. Getting something quickly isn’t always bad, but it can have some bad effects on our lives if we’re not careful, because we forget how to wait for God’s timing.

Today, if you’re driving your car and get behind someone going slower than you think they should be going, be patient. If you get in a long line at the store or at the bank, be patient.

If something isn’t happening for you as quickly as you want it to, be patient.

Be patient. God knows what we need and when we need it.

Bible Verse of The Day – 4-6-12

(Gal 6:9 KJV)  And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

How many of us are in a challenging season right now?

Everything in us is saying “when is this ever going to change? When will I get my raise? When will these people stop with their gossip about me? When will my child respect me and listen to what I have to say? When will my spouse pay attention to me? When, when when?”

Don’t give up… faint NOT! Don’t even entertain these thoughts. When they come at you, you come right back with “IN DUE SEASON”, because that’s what God says!!

Repeat these words: “In Due SEASON we shall REAP”.

We claim this promise over your situations today.

Bible Verse of The Day – 4-4-12

(Mat 14:29-31 NKJV)  So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. {30} But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!” {31} And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?”

Peter was doing pretty good until he looked around, giving attention to his circumstance rather than what He was asked to do. He wasn’t afraid until he looked around.

Jesus said “Come”. If Peter stayed focused on what Jesus told Him to do he would have made it to Him. Instead, Peter look around and it caused fear, and fear caused him to doubt.

I think sometimes we forget who our Papa is and the fact that if He tells us to do something, He will prepare us and give us what we need to do it. Our focus needs to be on Him and the things He asks of us to do.

Let’s get out of the boat and walk on water today!!

Bible Verse of The Day – 4-2-12

(Heb 4:16 NKJV)  Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Have you ever made a mistake? Of course, we all have.

Have you ever been told that you have made mistakes that are too big to be forgiven for? I think most of us can also say that this is true… that we have all been told this or we have felt like this at some point in time.

Well, let me tell you today that this is a lie straight from hell. There is nothing that we can do that God can’t forgive us for if we sincerely repent and ask Him to forgive us.

His word tells us that we can come boldly to the throne of Grace, where we can obtain mercy and grace to help us in times of need.

How much more can we ask for?

If you’re struggling with feeling like God has forsaken you or that you’ve let Him down, go to Him. Repent for anything you might have done and ask Him to forgive you. And then trust that you are forgiven, because His word says so.

Walk in His peace and joy today, knowing that you are abundantly blessed.
