Bible Verse of The Day – 4-13-16

Psalm 30:5 (NKJV) 5 For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning.

How easy is it for us to lose our JOY? We could be having a great day and then something gets said, or we get something in the mail, etc., and all of a sudden we lost the joy we had just a few minutes before.

Getting sad, angry and upset at times is normal behavior. It’s all part of our emotions. It’s all part of life. Things can come in and change our attitude quickly and sometimes it doesn’t take much.

What we must remember is that we don’t let it keep us there. We cannot spend all of our days being angry, crying and depressed. We have to make room for JOY.

How do we make room for joy when we feel like this?

We take whatever it may be that is causing us to lose our joy and we bring it right to Jesus. We tell Him how we feel. That’s right! Let it out, talk to Him and be detailed.

Don’t try to leave things out. Tell Him everything that needs to come out.

After we tell Him, we will feel better. But we are not finished. Let God show us what we need to do after we spill it all.

Sometimes there is silence on God’s end. That doesn’t mean something is wrong. It’s OK. Just trust Him.

Sometimes we may get understanding right away and we know what we need to do. Other times we just have to wait and see what comes our way; what doors open, so to speak.

But if we are listening, watching and ready, we usually won’t miss it. Begin to thank Him and move on. Go back to enjoying your day.

When joy is taken from us, many people stop living. God does not want that. He wants JOY back in our lives.

There is more to life than just the little bit we are used to. So if things change, don’t stop living. Just live differently. Experience the NEW things that are coming our way.

Today, let’s pick ourselves up and let JOY come back. It’s OK to laugh again, to have fun and to sing our hearts out!

As long as we are alive, we need to keep on LIVING!!

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-18-16

Nehemiah 8:10 (NKJV) 10 Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

If we’ve lost our JOY, we need to get it BACK! How do we get the joy back in our life? We take a moment and be still.

Being still doesn’t mean we do nothing. Being still means that we do what we know to do and trust God, waiting on Him and expecting Him to help us with the rest.

Expect God to come through; To come through with all His might, with all His strength, and with all His wisdom! It’s Almighty God that has our backs.

Keep going, keep winning, keep walking. And if you have to RUN to keep up with God then do so, but DON’T ever give up.

We will not win the battle without Joy. It is our strength. So go after it. Laugh where there is NO laughter. Shout where there is no sign of victory, and sing where there is NO music.

We will WIN with the JOY of the Lord!! Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 2-3-16

Psalm 16:11 (NKJV) 11 You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

In His presence is fullness of JOY!

Are we sad and depressed today? Are we struggling to find happiness? Has the joy of living been sucked right from us? Are we constantly reminded of our failures?

We can bring change to this as we enter into His presence. How do we get into His presence?

Matthew 11:28 (NKJV) 28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

By going to Him. By doing what He asks us to do. His word gives us step by step instructions and direction; How to walk with Him. How to handle the devil. How to handle our finances. How to handle our marriage, and how to handle our children, etc.

If we follow His path, we will walk with Him in His fullness and JOY!

We need to lift up our heads today and rejoice because even in our moment of despair, Christ gives us rest! Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-2-15

Nehemiah 8:10 (NKJV) 10 Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

Are you sorrowful?

Has your situation got you down?

Are you walking around with your eyes to the ground, sorrowful and sullen?

Are you feeling weak?

Lift up your head!

If your strength is gone, your joy is probably gone too. If we want our strength back, we need to get our joy back.

Life and the enemy will do everything possible to steal our joy. And when we lose our joy, we lose our strength.

So it’s time for us to get our eyes off of our circumstances and back on God, our source. When we do this, we thwart the plans of the enemy and destroy his schemes against us.

Today, lift your head and look toward heaven. And thank the Father above for His grace, mercy, compassion and provision.

And take joy in knowing that no weapon formed against you shall prosper!

Isaiah 54:17 (NKJV) 17 No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord.
