Bible Verse of The Day – 5-1-23

Romans 15:13 (NKJV) 13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Our walk with God is a walk of hope, rooted in and built upon the faith we have in Him.

This scripture says a lot when it comes to our walk and what we should expect.

Because of the hope He gives us, we will also experience joy and peace.

When do we experience this joy and peace? When we believe!

Our faith and trust in God are the catalyst that brings joy and peace.

These are not simply emotions that we feel based on how our life is going for us.

True joy and peace are byproducts of our faith and our trust in God that become more strongly developed on a level that’s parallel to our growth as a believer.

And take note of that last line of the verse above; “that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit”.

You see, that line gives proof that these are not just emotions, but an outcome that takes place because of our growing trust in God.

This is not a deep spiritual mystery. It is a simple reality that doesn’t require a degree in theology, an extensive understanding of the word of God or decades of studying the Hebrew or Greek languages.

It takes only a genuine desire and a willingness to make a sincere effort to know and trust God more every day.

In this we will not only find Him, but we will also find that joy and peace that can only come by way of God’s Spirit through a deeper walk with our Savior.

Bible Verse of The Day – 9-2-22

Psalm 71:5 (NKJV) 5 For You are my hope, O Lord God; You are my trust from my youth.

During times of joy and happiness, and in seasons when everything seems to be “just right”, we don’t usually think much about hope.

We don’t really need to since everything is going well.

It’s only during less pleasant seasons that hope comes to mind.

So, when those tougher seasons happen, where does our hope lie?

Many will put their hope in different things. Most times that hope will be in the thing that is viewed as being the solution to bring the tough season we’re enduring to an end.

In reality, though, regardless of the season we are navigating, God is our only true source of hope.

Why does it seem so hard sometimes for us to understand this and hold tightly to God as our source of hope?

Most of the time this is due to our flesh not wanting to hold onto something or someone we can’t see and Who may not satisfy our intellect.

You see, our minds like to have something to hold onto that we can easily understand and explain.

But God blows that all apart because He doesn’t use human logic when He does something.

Dividing a body of water to allow a huge mass of people to pass through, providing water from a rock, speaking through a donkey, using a prostitute to save some of His people during a time of battle, raising a dead man from a grave, healing a blind man by spitting into dirt and rubbing mud on that man’s eyes; these are all things that God did.

Not even one of them makes sense to our human understanding.

And yet, this is the God we serve and Who loves us enough to send His son (God incarnate) to die for us.

That is true hope, found in the Creator of all that we see.

Hold onto Him and rejoice as He continues to confound the wise and baffle human understanding, drawing hope from Him no matter what season we’re in.

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-16-22

Romans 15:13 (NKJV) 13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Who is God?

He is the God of hope.

I don’t know about you, but to me I would say that we could all use a little more hope these days.

So, if God is the God of hope, and we are His children, hope should be part of our nature.

We should not be hopeless. We should not lack hope.

We should be hopeful, and steadfast in that hope, since we carry the “DNA” of Christ in our spirit.

This is not to say that we are like little “Christs” running around. That’s not the case.

But because (if we have put our faith and trust in Christ) we are children of the Most High God, we should be inherently more hopeful than any other people on earth.

Why? Because our Father is the One in charge and on the throne!

Don’t let the situation in the world get you down. Don’t let it drag your thoughts down to the point where you’re constantly discouraged.

God has told us that things of this nature will happen. And the fact that they are should prove His word is true.

Trust Him.

Bible Verse of The Day – 5-24-19

Jeremiah 29:11 (NLT) 11 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

This verse is very frequently quoted. It’s a very encouraging word from God!

Today we want to focus on one little word that gives us very big encouragement; Hope.

God says in this verse that He has plans for each one of us. Wrapping it up, He says His plans are to give us hope.

Hope is something that we all need. Without it, our lives can seem pretty meaningless. Without hope, we have nothing to look forward to, nothing to live for. And if we are going to have hope, the best kind of hope that we can have is hope from God.

Hope in anything less than God is hope that can be very fragile. But if we hope in God, we are on a firm foundation, trusting in the very One who spoke the worlds into existence.

We are all unique, and our situations are also unique. So, our hopes can vary greatly from one person to another. But it’s safe to say that, no matter who we are, if our hope is based on and rooted in God, they are hopes that aren’t just wishful thinking.

So, if you are feeling down, look up today. If you’re feeling hopeless, let God give you the best kind of hope that can be found; His hope.

He will never, ever disappoint us if we place our hope in Him.

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-5-18

Please click to watch the video now.Good day!

We pray that your walk with God is growing and flourishing.

Where does your hope lie?

That’s the question we want to ask you today. And that’s the topic of our brand-new video.

Sometimes we unknowingly shift our hope from being rooted in God, to the things we’re hoping for. We don’t do it purposely. It just kind of happens. And when this happens it can cause problems in many ways.

Once we realize this is happening, it’s not difficult to fix. And once it’s fixed, it will be easy to keep it from happening again in the future.

We hope that this new video will give you some fresh insights.

Be mightily blessed in Him.

Sincerely,

Bible Verse of The Day – 4-25-18

Romans 8:24-25 (NKJV) 24 For we were saved in this hope, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one still hope for what he sees? 25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.

Hope. It’s what our walk with God is based on. None of us has ever seen God. Yet we pursue Him and follow Him.

We trust that He has our eternal destiny in His hands. Why? Because His word says so.

Some may ask why we believe in Someone that we can’t see. But that question contains its own answer.

If we were able to see God, there would be no need for hope or faith. Once something is seen, hope and faith are no longer necessary.

But we know that our hope is not in vain. Although we may not be able to see God face to face, He reveals Himself in many other ways. Creation demands a Creator.

The sights that we take in each and every day are a confirmation for the hope that we have.

The new life that enters the world when a new baby is born is proof for the hope we have.

The sun rising and setting each day, and the planets that surround us are evidence for the hope we have.

The birds of the air and the fish of the sea are just a tiny piece of the foundation for our hope.

And there is so much more that we could say. But it’s not necessary. Because He speaks for Himself in so many ways.

So, we wait eagerly and with perseverance for the hope that our faith is built upon, knowing that one day we will stand before Him, taking in the glory of His presence, in all of its awe and wonder.

Lamentations 3:24 (NKJV) 24 “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I hope in Him!”

Bible Verse of The Day – 1-15-18

Psalm 71:5 (NKJV) 5 For You are my hope, O Lord GOD; You are my trust from my youth.

Our relationship with God gives us hope.

We serve a Creator who wants only the very best for us.

Jeremiah 29:11 (NKJV) 11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Sometimes we may not feel like there is any hope, especially when things just seem to go wrong again and again.

But, rest assured that this is just life and the things that happen to all of us from time to time.

As we have mentioned many times in the past, seasons come and go. And each season offers unique opportunities as well as unique challenges. It’s not the fact that challenges come that determines who we are. It’s how we handle them that matters.

It’s always easy to lay down and have ourselves a little pity party. But that will never help us or change anything for the better. It will do quite the opposite.

So, we say to you today, rise up! Shake off the sorrow and the discouragement. Look your challenges square in the face and claim the victory that Jesus has won for us on the cross.

Rebuke the devil, in the name of Jesus, and push forward.

Romans 15:13 (NKJV) 13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-18-17

2 Corinthians 5:21 (NKJV) 21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Jesus walked the earth, sinless. He knew no sin.

This is something that’s hard for our minds to comprehend. We have a hard time wrapping our heads around the fact that a man, a human being, could live for 33 years and not sin. Not even once.

But it is what was required of Him. It was necessary. It was His purpose to come to earth and live a sinless life.

Why?

Because we needed redemption. We needed someone to build a bridge between us and a holy God, whom we had been separated from by our own transgressions. We needed someone who could blot out our own sins and make us righteous, in spite of ourselves.

Jesus was that One. He came and lived. And He died, for you and for me, to redeem us.

His lack of sin proves our need for Him. Without Him we would be hopeless and lost, forever condemned.

But with Him, we have hope!

Titus summed it very well in these verses:

Titus 2:11-14 (NKJV) 11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, 12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, 13 looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, 14 who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.

We have hope, in Him.

Bible Verse of The Day – 5-15-17

Romans 8:25 (NKJV) 25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.

What does it mean to wait eagerly for those things we hope for but do not see? We need to be ready, excited, and sharp.

Being eager and persevering is like someone being up at dawn and ready to get to work.

We don’t lay there and do nothing until what we’re waiting and hoping for comes. We continue to do what we know to do everyday, unless God shows us something different.

We do what we already know, with everything in us, and we don’t stop. We keep going and we push through each day until what we hoped for, that we could not see, becomes tangible.

Step by step, one day at a time, walking out what we know to do in faith is how we persevere.
