Bible Verse of The Day – 4-8-19

Philippians 4:19 (NKJV) 19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

If there is one thing that I have learned over the years, it’s this; God is faithful.

It doesn’t matter what we face, God is always the One we can count on. He doesn’t get scared and run. He doesn’t get mad and turn His back. He doesn’t forget His promises.

So many of us spend so many hours of our lives worrying needlessly. Yes, at the time when we’re worrying, whatever we’re worrying about seems pretty big to us. And some of the things we worry about might actually be big.

But God is always bigger. Period.

Why is it so hard for us to remember that when we’re face to face with a trial, a dilemma or a “monster” of some kind that’s threatening to swallow us up?

That may seem like a rhetorical question. But it’s not. It’s an honest question that we all need to try to answer if we’re going to learn to let our faith and trust in God be tested and, ultimately, to grow.

When a need arises, no matter what kind of need it is, God is able. He can supply it. The notion or idea that He can’t isn’t even a possibility.

Let’s work hard at getting our heads and our hearts to grasp this awesome truth, and then live it out.

My God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory, by Christ Jesus!

Bible Verse of The Day – 11-23-18

John 6:35 (NKJV) 35 And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.

Life in Christ is good. He is our everything!

He will satisfy our hunger. He will bring us answers. There is so much peace and joy in His Word. His promises are true. He brings a fulfillment that nothing else in this world can compare to.

Will our life be perfect and will everything go right all the time? No, not necessarily in the way we think it should go.

Life is not a fairy tale. We can’t always paint a pretty picture when things are not pretty. But if we live life through Christ, we will be satisfied at any stage we are in. He will have the answer and the way for us to follow.

His answer, His understanding, His compassion, mercy, forgiveness and most importantly His LOVE, will meet us right where we are at, even in our darkest hour.

Hallelujah… He is our bread of life.

If we go to Him, He will take care of us, help us make the changes we need to make, and we will stand strong! Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 5-17-18

Matthew 6:33 (NKJV) 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God wants to bless us. And it’s safe to say that we all want to be blessed.

So, why is it that so many of us lack? Why is it that we can never seem to “get ahead”? And why do our lives so often feel empty and meaningless?

Most times it’s because we have our priorities a bit mixed up.

Most of us want to have a strong relationship with God. We want to please Him and do what’s right in His eyes. But we never seem to quite get it right.

So, what’s the solution to this never-ending dilemma? How do we get our lives turned around and stop feeling like we’re being dragged through the dirt all the time, never able to break free and get cleaned up?

When we peel away all of the layers of mystery that man has created that seem to put God back behind the veil that was torn when Jesus died, it comes down to one simple thing; seeking first the kingdom of God.

We absolutely need to be putting God first in everything about our lives. There is no other way to say it and no other way to accomplish it. God comes first. Everything and everyone else comes after Him.

This is not some magic formula to riches beyond our wildest dreams. It’s not a specific sequence of steps that we follow, from A to Z, that will “open the heavens” and cause blessings to suddenly pour out.

But it’s a Biblical truth that, when we finally get it, and we put it into practice, will turn our lives around, little by little.

And, as we continue to put Him first in everything we will see more and more how God is shaping us, molding us and moving us through, and past, all the obstacles before us.

Deuteronomy 28:13 (NKJV) 13 And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them.

Our Hearts Are Grateful – From Pastor Curt & Pastor Ellie

Philippians 4:19 (NKJV) 19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Today, we would like to share our hearts with you.

We are reminded daily of God’s mercy and His goodness. And we are so grateful for all that He has done for us.

He has made provision for us. He has fed us, clothed us, guided us and brought us this far, by faith.

Each month, we pay our bills by faith. We buy our groceries by faith. We look to Him for provision, and each month our needs are met.

It can be very challenging at times, but also an exciting way to live!

We simply trust that God will bring in what we need, when we need it. And as we wait, we continue to do whatever He asks of us.

It’s amazing how He provides! Every day is a new testimony for us. We rejoice each day, knowing that God has our back!!

How does God provide for us?

He provides through loving, kindhearted people like yourselves.

As He prompts each one of you in your heart, either to pray for us, to reach out with an encouraging word, or to give an offering or tithe of some type, He supplies all our needs.

We trust that this letter will come as a heartfelt “thank you” as you help us to continue to walk the road that God has for us here at Seven Seas Ministries and My Bible Verse of The Day.

Lives are being changed and we are so honored to be part of this work, alongside you all.

So, to those who have given, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

And to those who have yet to do so, if our ministry has helped you in some way, would you consider giving?

Bible Verse of The Day – 10-7-17

Matthew 6:33 (NKJV) 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

So, what exactly happens when we seek first the kingdom of God? We get fed, we get clothed, we get taken care of. Wow, how rewarding!

Matthew 6:31-32 (NKJV) 31 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.

God will take care of these things. Is that the reason why we should seek God and His righteousness? No! We shouldn’t have a motive other than wanting to do the right thing and be closer to Him. But it sure is nice to know that by doing so all these things will be added to us.

It is a gift. It is a privilege. It is an honor and a blessing, all wrapped together in seeking God.

Now, don’t make the mistake of thinking that following God means that He just makes everything we need fall into our laps from unknown sources. Yes, sometimes that can happen. But, most times He will require steps and action on our part. In turn, He provides for us in ways that are just as rewarding, and sometimes even miraculous.

Jesus gave His precious life so that we can have access to our Father. Let’s go after Him with everything in us. Seek first the kingdom!

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-7-17

Genesis 18:14 (NKJV) 14 Is anything too hard for the Lord? At the appointed time I will return to you, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.”

God spoke to Abraham and told him that his wife, Sarah, would have a son at the appointed time. Sarah had been barren for years, and now they were both old and well past the age of having children.

Do you feel like you are just chomping at the bit to get something done on your home, or save up to purchase a car to drive? Maybe you have been waiting for a spouse or for your children to change in their behavior.

Some people are waiting for things to change in their marriage. You are praying and believing God, but you feel like it will never change; it feels like it’s too late.

I want to remind you today of His appointed time and Whom your faith is in.

God is not going to leave you empty-handed. He will not turn His back on you, and He will not ignore you. Your prayer is not voided out.

He is God. He is forever and ever! He doesn’t forget what we have asked of Him, even if we haven’t seen any changes as of yet.

He won’t disappoint us. He won’t say “Oh, my dear child, you have asked me for so much. You met your quota and I cannot give you another thing”.

God is faithful. God is Good. He will remember, and you will get your answer as you stay steadfast in your faith. Sing praises to Him today, for in that appointed time He will meet your needs!

Psalm 57:7 (NKJV) 7 My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and give praise.

Bible Verse of The Day – 6-14-17

Job 1:8 (NKJV) 8 Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?”

God Himself says that Job was blameless and upright. He feared God and shunned evil, meaning Job persistently avoided, ignored, or rejected evil.

Wow, I’d say he was disciplined and determined in wanting to live right and follow after God.

Of course, the devil didn’t agree. He thought that if God took away all of Job’s blessings that he would surely curse God to His face.

Job 1:9-11 (NKJV) 9 So Satan answered the Lord and said, “Does Job fear God for nothing? 10 Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. 11 But now, stretch out Your hand and touch all that he has, and he will surely curse You to Your face!”

That is exactly what the devil did. He took away all of Job’s blessings. Job lost his oxen, donkeys, sheep and camels. He lost all his servants and his sons and daughters. But in the end, Job remained faithful to God.

Why? Because his heart was pure and His love for God was real. Nothing overcomes real love.

Sometimes it’s good to do a self check. If we were to lose everything, would we still honor God? Would we stick with Him, or would we get angry and walk away from Him and all that He has taught us? Would we blame Him for all that happened and give up on life?

Life is not a bowl of cherries, so to speak. It comes with its trials, and we all go through them. Remember to remain faithful to God, our Restorer.

Job 42:10 (NKJV) 10 And the Lord restored Job’s losses when he prayed for his friends. Indeed the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.

Bible Verse of The Day – 2-18-17

Matthew 6:26 (NKJV) 26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?

I love watching wildlife. We have lots of birds and other small animals living in the woods behind our house.

We get to see dozens of different species of birds as they fly about as they find food and tend to their bird stuff.

We also get to watch squirrels and chipmunks as they gather food and store it away. And we even get to watch them play and chase each other around in the woods 🙂

And in all of this, we get to see how God provides for creatures as small and seemingly insignificant as little birds and chipmunks.

And so does God also care for us. He supplies our needs according to His riches in glory.

Philippians 4:19 (NKJV) 19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

We toil and fret over so many things, most of which never even happen. And we lust for things that we can’t have, simply because we see someone else with them.

But in the end, God supplies our needs and He does so in ways that we would never have imagined or come up with ourselves. And all of our worrying and fretting was for naught.

So we want to encourage you today to trust God. Go to Him with your needs. And heed His instructions as He directs you to take certain steps. If we’re careful to listen, He will show us what to do and when to do it.

And as we follow His leading, we will see the wonders of His ways unfold right before our eyes!

It’s not always easy. And it seldom happens in the time frame we want to see it in. But He never, ever fails us.

Psalm 37:25 (NKJV) 25 I have been young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his descendants begging bread.

Bible Verse of The Day – 1-14-17

Philippians 4:19 (NKJV) 19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

God supplies all our needs! Amen. By who? Christ Jesus, Our Lord and Savior.

He is there for us in so many ways and on so many occasions. It doesn’t matter if it is small or something big, He will supply our need.

The questions is, are we ready for His supply, for His provision? This is a very important question and not to be taken lightly.

When the Lord supplies a need He will do it in a way that will be good for us.

He’s not going to be like the person that just gives to us because we are kicking, screaming, giving the silent treatment or guilt treatment, etc. It’s not going to happen this way.

God is very concerned about the things that are going to be GOOD for us, long lasting and effective, in a way that will draw us closer to Him and teach us to continue to trust Him even more.

Sometimes His way or His answer for us will be exactly what we were thinking. Other times it may not be that way. We may have to take a step into the “unknown”. And that will cause us to be even more trusting, even more disciplined and even more stretched with our faith.

Don’t get discouraged if we are in a place of the unknown. Don’t get scared and want to turn back to the familiar. And absolutely don’t try to talk it or think it through.

Simply walk. And Jesus will lead us step by step, one day at time, through it all. And He will supply all our needs.

Bible Verse of The Day – 11-2-16

John 6:31 (NKJV) 31 Our fathers ate the manna in the desert; as it is written, ‘He gave them bread from heaven to eat.’”

God gave them bread from heaven. He made provision for them! He is a very personal, affectionate and intimate Father.

Can we look back at times and say, “yes, He has answered my prayer. When I was in need, He sent me my answer.”?

Our bread from heaven may have differed from what the Israelites needed because every situation is different. However, it still came.

Getting our answer from God is better than getting our answer from man. Most people have an agenda or motive and we may always feel like we owe them something in return. But when God does something for us and our answer comes from heaven, He is not looking for us to pay Him back. He is just asking for us to obey.

We have seen God answer many prayers in our lifetime and we look forward to seeing even more. It never gets old.

He is not going to ignore us, so we can’t get anxious and try to do it ourselves. He is going to put together the best answer and provision for us. In the meantime, rejoice and KNOW that He is working on our behalf. Walk in His peace today.

Philippians 4:6-7 (NKJV) 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
