Bible Verse of The Day – 11-22-18

1 Peter 2:15-16 (NKJV) 15 For this is the will of God, that by doing good you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men— 16 as free, yet not using liberty as a cloak for vice, but as bondservants of God.

When we serve God in the way He has called us to do, taking steps of wisdom instead of letting our emotions take over, we shut down the undercurrent of foolishness that the enemy may be trying to draw us in to.

When we resist the wrong and stay steadfast in what is right, we silence the ignorance and foolishness of man.

It may seem like nothing is happening in the natural, but we can’t let that fool us. We don’t walk in the natural. We walk in the Spirit.

God will show us and give us wisdom as to how to respond in every situation. When we line up with the will of God, much is accomplished.

Galatians 5:16 (NKJV) 16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-31-18

Ephesians 5:15-16 (NKJV) 15 See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, 16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 

It’s important that we live cautiously, giving careful consideration to the choices that we make. 

Verse 15, above, tells us that doing otherwise is unwise and foolish. 

Each choice that we make will impact our lives in one way or another. So we need to choose wisely. 

We are told further that we are to “redeem the time”, to make the most of every opportunity that God gives us. 

The days are evil. The times we live in are a product of the corrupt world that we live in and the depraved condition of the human heart, as many live their lives in an endless pursuit of pleasures of all sorts. 

It’s critical that we live by the Spirit, not by our flesh or our intellect. 

Romans 8:13 (NKJV) 13 For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. 

Then and only then can we make wise, godly choices and overcome evil in our lives.

Bible Verse of The Day – 12-18-17

Proverbs 9:6 (NKJV) 6 Forsake foolishness and live, And go in the way of understanding.

Be careful of getting involved with foolishness. We can’t let it tie up our time. Don’t let it cause us to lose sleep or cause our minds to get distracted with petty things.

Foolishness is not for us. We have to acknowledge it for what it is when we see it coming, and keep on walking past it. Don’t let it get ahold of us.

We can waste a lot of valuable time because of foolishness. Foolishness will try to sneak in and catch us when we are not paying attention.

Get God’s understanding. Let Him keep us alert to such things. He knows what the enemy is up to and will give us the understanding we need to discern these things.
