Bible Verse of The Day – 11-8-21

Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) 11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Sometimes God’s plans can be scary when we see them beginning to play out in our lives.

Our carnal minds can’t comprehend what’s happening. We may even question God and what He’s doing.

As children of God, we often seek Him and ask Him to guide us. But when He does, we don’t always recognize it. Especially at the onset.

Because it’s something new, we deem it as foreign. And if we’re not careful, we may even attribute it to the enemy, thinking that it’s bad for us.

But this is where our faith in God comes in. We have to test what we’re seeing and hearing, and then trust Him, allowing the Holy Spirit to show us what’s truly happening.

And we have to remember that God knows better than we do when it comes to guiding our steps and providing for us.

So, when we see things happening that seem out of the ordinary, or a bit scary because they’re unfamiliar, we need to let Him be God and do what He does best.

Remember; His ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts.

Isaiah 55:9 (NKJV) 9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.

Trust Him.

Bible Verse of The Day – 11-5-21

Acts 9:40 (NKJV) 40 But Peter put them all out, and knelt down and prayed. And turning to the body he said, “Tabitha, arise.” And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter she sat up.

Tabitha, who was a disciple of Christ, had become sick, and had ultimately died.

The other disciples had heard that Peter was nearby, so they sent for him. Then hearing what had happened, Peter left immediately and went to Joppa.

Upon arriving, Peter was led to the upper room where Tabitha’s body was. The room was full of widows who were all weeping over her death.

Peter didn’t get distracted, and he didn’t waste any time.

Before he did anything else, he put them all out, leaving him in the room alone, with no distractions. Then he immediately knelt down and prayed.

As he prayed, he spoke to Tabitha, telling her to arise.

Tabitha opened her eyes, saw Peter and sat up. Peter took her hand, helped her up, and then presented her, alive, to the saints and widows.

Peter followed the example of Jesus, sending the weeping widows out of the room.

But he did more than that. He took immediate action when he was needed.

He left where he was. And then what did he do next when he arrived there?

He knelt down and prayed.

He didn’t fret. He didn’t get anxious. He didn’t run away in fear.

He followed in the footsteps of Jesus, raising Tabitha from the dead.

This is a stark contrast to the Peter who denied knowing Jesus 3 times on the night Jesus was arrested, isn’t it?

This, my friends, is what God does with us when we sell out to Him, surrendering ourselves wholly to Him.

He transforms us from scared, helpless children, to mighty, fearless warriors for the kingdom of God.

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-3-21

James 1:21 (NKJV) 21 Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.

At its heart, this scripture is referring to truly receiving God’s word. We can’t just hear it. We actually have to make an honest effort to receive it by doing what it says.

It’s just like when we were children. Mom or Dad would tell us what to do, but if we didn’t obey and do it, what happened? They took it as we weren’t listening because we did not make an effort to follow through.

You see, doing what we have been told says something. It makes a statement.

It says, “yes, I heard you clearly and I will follow through and do what I am told. I receive what you said, and I will show you through my actions”.

Our question is, are we, as God’s children, listening to His implanted word and allowing it to save us?

His implanted word can save our soul, save our marriage, save our children, save our financial situation, save our relationship with Him, save our country, etc. So, are we obeying and taking the steps to walk it out?

Or are we not even finding time to read His word,  leaving ourselves confused, walking in circles and depressed about what has taken place around us?

Pick up God’s word today and take it in. It will save our soul and anything else that is going sour in our life as we receive with meekness that implanted word and instructions on how to live, so we can get out of the mess we are in and be happy!

Proverbs 16:20 (NKJV) 20 He who heeds the word wisely will find good, And whoever trusts in the Lord, happy is he.

God bless you. Our prayers are with you. Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-24-21

Genesis 12:1 (NKJV) 1 Now the Lord had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, From your family And from your father’s house, To a land that I will show you.

Unless we take the step, we will never know the results.

Take for instance, Abraham. If he did not leave his country, his family and his father’s house, he would have never known what God was calling him into.

We have to take steps. We have to obey, and then we see the results. Steps give us results.

I speak to you today because many times in our lives we’ve had to step out.

Were we scared sometimes? Yes, very much. Big moves are scary.

Little moves, not so much.

But God is a big God and when He knows we have it in us to do what He is asking, He will often ask us to do things beyond what we would ever think we could do.

All He is looking for is obedience. And from there He will do His work through us.

When we step out, it’s kind of like we are doing research at first. And when we see that the steps we are taking are working, then it goes from research to answers, to confirmation.

It is what builds our faith up; learning to listen, trust and step.

We grow our faith as we learn to obey God, step by step.

What is God asking of us today?

Is He saying we need to step out and leave our home? Let it go?

Is He saying He wants us to step out and let go of certain relationships?

Is He saying it’s time to make a move and open up our own business?

Is He asking for our tithe and offering, even though we may not feel it’s doable?

Does He want us to call the debt collectors and tell them that we are struggling, and can’t pay our bill, and ask if we can work this out somehow?

Is He saying to step out and be truthful with our spouse, and tell them what we have been doing behind their backs?

Is He asking us to be more devoted to Him and stop sitting on the fence?

There are a lot of areas where God will ask His children to step out; areas where we never thought we would.

Some can be very scary and very hard. But if we are feeling God’s prompting to do so, then do it. We can share later His results.

If He is the One doing the prompting, He is faithful to see it through!

Psalm 128:1 (NKJV) 1 Blessed is every one who fears the Lord, Who walks in His ways.

Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 5-23-21 – What Do I Do?

Please click to watch the video now.Greetings in the name of Jesus!

In God’s word, there are many examples of king David asking God, “what do I do?”.

That’s also the title of our latest video, What Do I Do?

In this video we teach on getting answers from God when we need to make choices or decisions.

We discuss how David did this frequently, and how God still answers us today.

We hope you enjoy the video.

Bible Verse of The Day – 2-25-21

2 Samuel 5:22-25 (NKJV) 22 Then the Philistines went up once again and deployed themselves in the Valley of Rephaim. 23 Therefore David inquired of the Lord, and He said, “You shall not go up; circle around behind them, and come upon them in front of the mulberry trees. 24 And it shall be, when you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the mulberry trees, then you shall advance quickly. For then the Lord will go out before you to strike the camp of the Philistines.” 25 And David did so, as the Lord commanded him; and he drove back the Philistines from Geba as far as Gezer.

David asked God for counsel, and He gave Him specific instructions in order to do what needed to be done.

The question today is, do we inquire or ask the Lord God before we make decisions? Do we give Him a chance to guide our steps?

Or do we make all of our own choices and decisions and then wonder why we don’t see victory, or don’t have any plan to push back what is attacking us or our loved ones.

I was sitting in the dentist chair recently. I had been needing a root canal for some time. I had actually waited too long and I had developed an infection in that tooth.

I went to the dentist and he told me, “it’s time to do it now or it will get worse, or you may end up losing the tooth completely.

I have had nothing but trouble over the years when it comes to root canals. They were never successful for me.

So, I immediately thought, “why don’t we save all the trouble, and just pull it?”. That was an option, after all.

The dentist told me it was completely up to me. However, he did strongly suggest to let him do the root canal. Or, if I wasn’t comfortable with him doing it, he would refer me to a specialist.

As he gave me time to decide, I asked God. “What do I do?”.

I heard very loud and clearly, “root canal”.

I knew it wasn’t me, because I despise the thought of root canals. And, to be honest, I almost wanted to pretend I didn’t hear it.

But I told the doctor when he asked again, “we need to go with the root canal, and there is no need for a specialist. You can do it”. I knew in my heart that was the plan God had shown me.

Today as I sit here, the root canal has been done. Thank God all went well, no pain whatsoever, from start to finish. It was a success!!

Thank you to those who have been praying for me without even knowing why.

God truly heard your prayers and brought me through with not even a pinch of pain.

Some are waiting on an answer today. You need direction.

Don’t give up. Ask and keep seeking God until you get His answer. And then when you do, go for it!!

He will direct us if we inquire.

Bible Verse of The Day – 2-5-21

John 10:27 (NKJV) 27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.

Jesus spoke very plainly in this verse, stating that His sheep would hear His voice and follow Him.

Notice that He didn’t lay down any special conditions for not hearing Him. He mentioned no exceptions and made no excuses for not doing so.

You see, it’s up to us to, first of all, know His voice. We have to spend enough time with Him to know Him, who He is, how He speaks.

Second, we need to learn and understand how to hear Him; how to discern His voice in the midst of all of the noise; the spiritual clutter that we encounter each and every day.

Finally, we need to be sure to follow Him. As our Shepherd, He is faithful to lead us.

None of this is particularly complicated. But it does require us to make a commitment to do it. And once we make that commitment, we need to stick to it.

What’s really awesome, though, is that when we do stick to it, and we put forth the effort, the return (for lack of a better word) is well worth the effort.

Nothing beats knowing Him, hearing Him and following Him.

Bible Verse of The Day – 1-21-21

Psalm 32:8 (NKJV) 8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.

He will instruct, teach and guide us with His eye.

This is as clear as we can get. There is no mystery. There is no trying to figure out what He is saying. There is no way that we can misunderstand what is being said here.

When we get the reason why we live, we will love that we have Someone to instruct us, teach us and guide us on the how, what and when of it all.

Learning how to follow Him is something we must work at each day. But, if we listen and we watch, He will be sure to show us.

Do you feel like you have been living your life your own way?

Do you feel that things in your life could be better, but you have reached the limits of how far your understanding and knowledge can take you?

Do you feel like the road you travel, you travel alone?

It’s time to let God travel with you, my friend. You were never meant to go this journey on your own.

He will guide you with His eye.

Bible Verse of The Day – 1-9-21

John 5:19 (NKJV) 19 Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.

The Son can do nothing of Himself. Though Jesus and His Father were One, He did not do things on His own.

There was not any one time that Jesus acted independently of His Father. Instead, He only did what His Father showed Him.

What does that tell us then?

We need God, His direction and His authority moving in and through us.

With God, all things are possible. But without Him, we are all on our own, with only our own wisdom, our own knowledge, our own understanding and our own strength.

I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to be on my own.

There are some who will do things on their own, with God’s name attached to it. Beware.

We need to have the Holy Spirit and His sharp discernment to recognize what the motive is behind their actions.

God, may we draw near to you and look to You for help in these days and times. We need Your direction.

Jesus, God’s only Son, says that He can do nothing of Himself. Let us learn from His very words, and then act accordingly.

Bible Verse of The Day – 12-15-20

Genesis 2:7 (NKJV) 7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.

There comes a time in our lives where we may need to be reminded about where we came from.

I call it my little wake up call; my chance to get back on track. Usually if we are being reminded about this, it’s because we have lost our way, or gotten off the right path in one way or another.

It can happen to us more easily than we might think.

When things get busy and crazy around us, it’s very easy to do. That is why the enemy will use busyness. It’s an innocent face that leads to a road of destruction and separation from God.

Families, husbands, wives, pastors; pull back the reins. Call everyone to the table, sit them down and have a heart to heart talk.

Slow this buggy down, bring it to a halt if we must. Do it, and get ourselves back on track.

The reminder requires us to ask, “Who do we belong to?”.

Who do we answer to? Why do we do what we do and love every minute of it?

If we’ve gotten off track, these questions are going to hit hard. They may even offend us and cause us to bristle up. And if we’re not careful, we will go right into defending ourselves.

We are not looking for defense. These are just little reminders to make us ask why we do what we do.

The beginning of humanity started with the breath of Almighty God being breathed into one man’s nostrils. That breath brought LIFE.

Life came from God and life remains with God. If we stick with Him and obey His word, we live!

Don’t forget where it all began.

The Father, the Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit are life. Without Them there is darkness and death.

Genesis 1:2 (NKJV) 2 The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

If we’ve lost our way, let’s get back on track. Cry out to our Maker, in the name of Jesus Christ. Let Him breathe life back into us again.
