Acts 14:9 (NKJV) 9 This man heard Paul speaking. Paul, observing him intently and seeing that he had faith to be healed,
Faith is explained in the “Word Wealth” section of my study Bible as divinely implanted principle of inward confidence, assurance, trust and reliance in God and all that He says.
The Greek word for faith is pistis.
In Greek mythology, Pistis (/ˈpɪstɪs/; Ancient Greek: Πίστις) was the personification of good faith, trust and reliability.
If we have good faith and trust in God’s guidance we will see situations change, conditions change, seasons change, and we will change!
Faith is often emphasized as the condition of healing.
Paul intently observed this man. What was he seeing, what was he looking for?
Signs of faith!
What does the verse say Paul did when he saw that the man had the faith to be healed?
No, he didn’t whisper to the man to get up. He didn’t leave him in his condition. He didn’t keep praying for him.
With a loud voice, Paul told him to stand up straight on his feet!
Acts 14:10 (NKJV) 10 said with a loud voice, “Stand up straight on your feet!” And he leaped and walked.
Praise God! It’s so important we have faith for God to change our situation and that we let Him do it!
Maybe you have faith today, and you just need someone to agree with you and tell you to stand up on your feet and walk!
Today we stand with you and pray, may God’s will be done in your situation. And just as Paul spoke to this man and said, “Stand up and walk”, we say to you, “stand up and walk In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
Amen!
