Bible Verse of The Day – 1-13-24

Psalm 62:1 (NKJV) 1 Truly my soul silently waits for God; From Him comes my salvation.

You are not alone.

Wait, and then wait some more. Wait for however long it takes. He will show up.

His answer will come. His way of deliverance will show up for you. It will find you, if you silently wait, as David did, trusting Him and Him alone.

There are times we all feel like it’s taking too long, but let us not react to those feelings.

Push them down and go forward by waiting, keeping still, and praising Him. For His answer will be worth every bit of it.

He has saved us once; He will save us again. Don’t let go of His promise to you. Don’t throw it away. Don’t give up.

He’s got our back. Hold onto Him with everything in us. Know that He is faithful!

Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 1-7-24 – Be Still

Please click to watch the video now.Greetings, brothers and sisters in Christ!

Do we sometimes have a hard time being still and hearing God when we need to hear Him the most?

Tough situations can cause us to become frantic, and instead of being still and listening to God, we do the exact opposite.

In today’s new video, we teach about learning to be still and hear God’s voice, especially during times when we typically would be frantic and jumping around, searching for a solution to our problem.

We hope this video will shed some light on this problem and bring understanding in an area where we often struggle to get understanding and clarity.

We love you all very much!

Please click to watch the video now.Greetings in the name of Jesus!

Most of us are familiar with the scripture where we are told to “be still and know that I am God”. It’s a very common verse to hear quoted.

But some of us wrestle with understanding exactly what the “be still” part means.

In today’s video, What It Means to Be Still, we break this down and teach it in a way that makes it easier to understand.

We hope you will take a few minutes to watch this video, and that it will bring some clarity to this topic for you.

Bible Verse of The Day – 1-10-22

Psalm 46:10 (NKJV) 10 Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!

During these last few weeks, those two words, “be still”, have been critical to my walk with God and my everyday life in the natural.

Seasons of change or times of trial can make us want to do things that we might not normally do.

When we’re facing the unknown and we don’t understand everything we’re seeing, we tend to want to take things into our own hands. We may begin making rash decisions. We might want to run away. Or we may feel like God has abandoned us.

It’s those times of change and difficulty, though, when we need to do the opposite. Instead of running away, hiding, trying to take control or feeling abandoned, we need to hold tightly to God, letting Him lead us through the changes we’re facing.

It’s not always easy to do. In fact, it can be downright difficult sometimes.

Our flesh fights us, almost as though it’s our enemy. And in some ways, it is. The flesh wars against our spirit as our spirit works to follow the Spirit of God. It’s a never-ending battle that can tire us out if we let it.

But instead of wrestling constantly, sometimes the best thing we can do is to stay still.

It’s in the stillness that we can hear God best. This is why it’s so important that we not get frantic, but quell our emotions as they try to lead us down roads of fear and doubt.

And as we learn to do this, to listen for the Spirit of God, and let Him lead, we will begin to walk in the peace of God that surpasses all understanding, allowing us to move forward on the path He has set before us.

Philippians 4:6-7 (NKJV) 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Bible Verse of The Day – 11-4-19

Isaiah 40:31 (NKJV) 31 But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

Have you ever noticed how when we want something, we want it now? We want it right away.

We don’t want to wait. We don’t want to take time to work toward whatever it might be we want. We just know that we want it, and we want it right now.

Some of us are so impatient that we want it yesterday!

God has His ways of doing things. And our flesh has its way of doing things. The problem comes because our flesh doesn’t understand or like the way God does things, especially when it involves waiting.

But one of the most valuable lessons we can learn as children of God is to wait on Him. Plain and simple. We wait.

Have you ever seen a child who wants something, but they have been told by their parents that they have to wait for it?

We’ve probably all been in a store somewhere and heard a child having a tantrum because they have been told that they can’t have that thing that they spotted and want their parents to give them right now.

Now that’s not usually a pretty picture.

We may be adults, but we sometimes behave the very same way with God when He doesn’t respond to our requests when we think He should. And this can get us into all kinds of trouble if we don‘t get a handle on it quickly.

We may have a tantrum. Or maybe we go ahead and pursue whatever it is that we have asked God for, without waiting on Him or His timing. And then we wish we had waited.

God does not force His desires on anyone, including His own children. That’s not His way of doing things. He simply wants us to learn to wait on Him.

The verse above lists many benefits to waiting on Him; renewed strength, soaring like eagles, running without growing weary and walking without fainting.

Some of these are symbolic. It isn’t possible for any of us to fly like an eagle in the natural. It is, however, possible for us to rise above our circumstances if we allow God to lift us above them.

And as for renewing our strength, running without growing weary and walking without fainting, these all refer to the fact that if we patiently wait on God, trusting that He knows what is best, we will not grow tired, become exasperated or give up hope.

Our trust in Him will cause us to prevail, no matter what we face. Amen

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-9-18

2 Peter 3:9 (NKJV) 9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

For many centuries people have wondered and asked why God is taking so long for Jesus to return. After all, the world is a mess. Morals have decayed terribly. Violence is at all-time highs around the world. And so many other things are happening that make the world a challenging place to live.

So why is it that God has kept His people waiting here on earth for so very long, having to endure trials and hard times?

Because He is patient and doesn’t want anyone to perish without the chance to repent.

This may make no sense whatsoever to our minds. It may be hard for us to understand. In fact, we may not be able to understand it at all with our intellect.

But as we learn to know and hear God’s heart, we will begin to understand it a little at a time.

As humans, we tend to get angry with what we see happening around us. This can lead to frustration and may even cause us to have feelings toward others that we know God doesn’t want us to have. This brings us to a place where we need to lean on God every single day, to guide us and teach us to live by the Spirit and not by the flesh.

There is also the very major factor of God’s plans and the things that need to be carried out before He can return. There are many things that He has spoken of through His prophets that must happen. Only He knows the timing of those things.

But one thing is for sure. When the time is right, God will bring everything into order. In due season, He will put everything in its proper place.

Galatians 6:9 (NKJV) 9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

So, don’t lose heart and don’t lose hope. God is faithful to do what He said He will do when He knows the time is right.

Bible Verse of The Day – 6-27-18

Isaiah 40:31 (NKJV) 31 But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

Nowadays, everything is so fast paced. If we want a coffee or beverage we can go to the drive-through, and just like that our thirst is quenched. The same if we are hungry. Everything is instant.

Transferring money from one bank account to another is instant. We get ahold of people through text messages. We really don’t have to wait for anything. It’s all right there at our finger tips.

This has created a society of impatience. We don’t want to wait. Not even for the things that God has for us. We get into such a fast paced mode that if God takes too long, forget it, we will do it ourselves. Instead of waiting for our answer from God, we will go get it somewhere else.

A lot of leaders today are falling right into this kind of practice. They want everything now, with an attitude that says, “Why do we have to wait on God, we can manufacture it and the people will love it?”. Why? Because it is what they want too.

This is so dangerous. It’s so fake, artificial, and counterfeit. It won’t last long and it wont take long before we realize it doesn’t work.

Jesus says, my sheep hear my voice and follow.

John 10:27 (NKJV) 27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.

We can make all the excuses for participating in this type of behavior in our walk with God. But if we fall for it, we are responsible for how things turn out.

God knows whether we are truly seeking Him for His answer by avoiding all the fake, fancy, and pretty stuff and sticking with Him.

Those that wait on Him will renew their strength.

It’s our choice whether or not we mount up with wings like eagles, run and not be weary, and we walk and not faint.

Bible Verse of The Day – 6-15-18

Mark 9:23 (NKJV) 23 Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”

Believing in what God tells us is the first step toward receiving. But there is more to it than just believing. We must not stop there.

Sometimes God will give what we need in steps. He may do His step first, then He may show us a step to take. Some things come in lots of steps. So, don’t lose hope. But be patient.

Patience is a big part of receiving God’s answers or plans for our situation. If we try to force something to happen, it will not turn out the same or be complete, the way it would be if we let God move on our behalf.

James 1:4 (NKJV) 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

So many times, God will show us what He would like to do in our situation. And if we are not careful, our first reaction will ruin God’s plan quickly. Why? Because we step out on our own and we try to do it all in the natural.

But there are things in the spiritual realm that need to be tended to first and foremost, and only God can show us what that is and how to do it.

We have to remember that there is an enemy, a devil, that roams around and wants to take us out. He wants to kill and destroy anything that’s good.

Just as King Herod was after the baby Jesus, he had all the babies killed. Why? Because something great and something GOOD was coming!!

The devil doesn’t like good. He moved through the heart of Herod and brought destruction to all those little babies. His goal was to kill Jesus, which would kill God’s plan.

Matthew 2:16 (NKJV) 16 Then Herod, when he saw that he was deceived by the wise men, was exceedingly angry; and he sent forth and put to death all the male children who were in Bethlehem and in all its districts, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had determined from the wise men.

He will try and take out anything that is going to be good for us too. He is the enemy that we battle against!

We need the Holy Spirit to help us receive the things that God has spoken to us. He will help us to hold onto our faith. He will help us know the direction we need to go. And He will help us to keep our mind sound and focused.

There are a lot of people in the middle of a battle right now, tired and having no idea what step to take next. It’s not over for you. God is saying, “you will win if you surrender it to Me and listen. I will take you all the way.”

If this is you today, we want you to write or call us, and we will pray with you and stand in agreement for God to take you “the rest of the way through”. As you surrender it completely to Him, and follow His direction, you will come out on the other side of this war. Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 2-15-18

Psalm 27:14 (NKJV) 14 Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!

Oh, how we hate that word, “wait”. Nobody likes to wait for anything, including waiting on God. It just doesn’t sit well with how we like things to be.

But wisdom and experience will teach us that waiting on God is exactly what we need to do. Doing anything other will set us up for a tough situation.

God’s word is loaded with verses telling us to wait on God, including those telling us to wait patiently.

And that’s the hard part for most of us, the patience aspect of it. But, you see, that’s where the real test starts right there.

When something takes a while to play out, a lot of us tend to get antsy. We can’t sit still long enough to let God put all of the pieces in place and orchestrate His plans. So, we start taking things into our own hands and making choices and decisions on our own.

This shows how feeble our faith in Him can be at times. Is that meant to be an insult? Not at all. It’s just a piece of truth that we all need to recognize in ourselves if we are to grow and mature in our faith as a believer.

That all starts to come about when we understand that God moves in different ways, and at different speeds, during different seasons in our lives.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NKJV) 3 To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven:

We encourage you today to wait on God. Wait patiently for Him to guide your steps. And when He does move, we need to make sure we’re ready to follow His leading. And watch His awesome plans unfold right before our eyes.

Bible Verse of The Day – 1-1-18

Psalm 46:10 (NKJV) 10 Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!

Be still and know.

What do these words mean, and how do we apply them to our lives in a practical way that will help us grow as a believer?

Well, being still doesn’t necessarily mean sitting and doing nothing. Many of us make that mistake. And doing so can cause our situation or our trial to be prolonged.

Sitting still in this verse means that we do as God has shown us or instructed us to do. But we do it without fear. And we do it knowing that God is on our side and he has secured us in our position with Him.

When we become afraid, we tend to make rash decisions and we lose the ability to trust God, because we begin to doubt Him.

Sitting still means not doubting Him, not becoming frantic and not becoming fearful as we do the things He has told us to do.

And if we haven’t heard Him tell us what to do, then we do only the things we know He has previously instructed us to do. God is faithful to lead us. We just need to be sure to follow Him.

Be still and know. Trust Him.

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-30-16

Psalm 46:10 (NKJV) 10 Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!

Be still.

Those are probably two of the hardest words we will ever be told by God to carry out.

Being still when we’re going through trials requires that we trust God 100%. It takes a lot of faith to sit still when things are crumbling around us. But being still is what God says to do.

He wants us to be still so we don’t get frantic and rely solely on our intellect or our logical mind to try to fix everything. Instead, He wants us to have faith and trust Him to help us.

And He wants us to listen for His voice, through the Holy Spirit, so He can tell us what to do.

Most times, our minds are so busy trying to come up with solutions to our problems that we can’t hear Him when he does speak to us. This is why He tells us to be still.

It’s easy, when everything is going well, for us to say that we trust God. But when things get difficult, and the rubber meets the road, that’s when we get tested. That’s when “walking in faith” can be the most difficult.

But it’s then, during those trying times, that we need our faith even more.

Living and walking by faith takes time and practice to adjust to. It doesn’t just happen overnight because we want it to. But as we begin to trust God and be still in little things, we will find it easier and easier to do in bigger things.

So start today. Trust Him and be still. Know that He is God!
