Bible Verse of The Day – 6-28-24

Psalm 9:1 (NKJV) 1 I will praise You, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will tell of all Your marvelous works.

Sometimes during our busy daily lives, we just need to be reminded of simpler things.

Learning of the mysteries of God is important. In fact, it is critical for us to know and understand these deeper things.

But simply praising God and expressing our gratitude to Him is equally important.

David had a special relationship with God, and he was not afraid to express his adoration for and his gratitude to Him.

As parents, we all know the satisfaction that comes when we hear our children say “thank you” or show their gratitude in some other way.

Our relationship with our heavenly Father is no different.

God is not a man, requiring the emotional affirmation of our words. But our praise pleases Him. And expressing it is good for us!

It is important for us to cast off the heaviness of the world, and the cares of our earthly lives. Expressing our praise and thanks to God is the perfect way to do that!

No matter what we may be facing today, no matter how heavy the burden may feel, let us shake off the weight of it as we praise Him, the One who created us, breathed life into our lungs, and gave our hearts the beat that keeps us alive.

Why? Because He alone is worthy!

Please click to watch the video now.Greetings in the name of Jesus!

We pray that you are walking in God’s blessings every day.

Speaking of God’s blessings, it is important that we express our gratefulness to Him for each of the blessings He bestows upon us.

In today’s video, The Importance of Being Grateful, we teach on what it means to be grateful and how our gratefulness is looked upon by God himself, using some examples from scripture.

We hope you will take a few minutes to watch it.

Bible Verse of The Day – 6-22-19

Philippians 4:4 (NKJV) 4 Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!

Rejoice! Praying and thanking God is what it is all about. He listens for our voice. He is omniscient, all-knowing!

When is the last time we gave Him thanks? When is the last time we took a few minutes to pray? It can be difficult in this day and age to remember to do these things on a daily basis. But it’s crucial and it means so much to God that we stop, thank Him and praise Him.

If we are a parent, we can understand what it is like to do things for our children and never hear or see the appreciation that we would like to see.

If we are married, we can understand how it feels when we never hear a thank you for all the things we continue to do for our spouse without even being asked.

If we have a friendship, we too know what it is like to always be the one to compromise and change our schedule to accommodate everyone else, but we never hear a thank you or an acknowledgement of what we did to keep the peace.

God feels the same way when we don’t see the things He is doing in our lives.

If we could share 3 words with you regarding rejoicing, they would be “keep it up”. You are making God’s day!

Our Hearts Are Grateful – From Pastor Curt & Pastor Ellie

Philippians 4:19 (NKJV) 19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Today, we would like to share our hearts with you.

We are reminded daily of God’s mercy and His goodness. And we are so grateful for all that He has done for us.

He has made provision for us. He has fed us, clothed us, guided us and brought us this far, by faith.

Each month, we pay our bills by faith. We buy our groceries by faith. We look to Him for provision, and each month our needs are met.

It can be very challenging at times, but also an exciting way to live!

We simply trust that God will bring in what we need, when we need it. And as we wait, we continue to do whatever He asks of us.

It’s amazing how He provides! Every day is a new testimony for us. We rejoice each day, knowing that God has our back!!

How does God provide for us?

He provides through loving, kindhearted people like yourselves.

As He prompts each one of you in your heart, either to pray for us, to reach out with an encouraging word, or to give an offering or tithe of some type, He supplies all our needs.

We trust that this letter will come as a heartfelt “thank you” as you help us to continue to walk the road that God has for us here at Seven Seas Ministries and My Bible Verse of The Day.

Lives are being changed and we are so honored to be part of this work, alongside you all.

So, to those who have given, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

And to those who have yet to do so, if our ministry has helped you in some way, would you consider giving?

Bible Verse of The Day – 4-14-17

Exodus 16:2 (NKJV) 2 Then the whole congregation of the children of Israel complained against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness.

Have you ever read about the Israelites and wondered how in the world they could grumble and complain, while God was feeding them and providing for their every need supernaturally?

Seriously. God was dropping manna from heaven while they slept. They had water when they needed it. They lacked absolutely nothing. Yet they found reasons to complain, despite seeing miracles literally every day.

There’s no way you and I would do that! Or would we?

Do we find ourselves grumbling about what we lack? Do we complain about what we have, even though God was the One who provided it for us?

I think if we look a bit more closely at ourselves, we will find that we are not all that different than the Israelites were back in the desert.

Maybe it’s time for us to do a self check and let God show us where we are complaining, when we should be rejoicing and giving thanks.

Philippians 2:14 (NKJV) 14 Do all things without complaining and disputing…

Bible Verse of The Day – 11-8-16

Numbers 11:5-6 (NKJV) 5 We remember the fish which we ate freely in Egypt, the cucumbers, the melons, the leeks, the onions, and the garlic; 6 but now our whole being is dried up; there is nothing at all except this manna before our eyes!”

God delivered the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt and led them into freedom.

They watched as God parted the Red Sea and they walked across, with the ocean being held up on either side of them. And then they witnessed the entire Egyptian army being swallowed up by that very same ocean, as God released the waters and allowed them to fill in that very area where they had just crossed safely.

And as they woke each morning, they saw the ground covered with manna, bread from heaven that had fallen while they slept.

God provided for them in every way conceivable. He fed them. He kept them clothed. And he protected them from the sun and the darkness.

And yet, despite everything that they saw God do, they complained. They grew impatient and demanded that God send them meat, for they were tired of manna.

Wow! God was feeding them every day by His hand. A true miracle. Yet they grew tired of it and became ungrateful.

How about us? Have we become tired of anything that God has done for us? Have we become complacent or unappreciative? Are we complaining about what He has done for us or blessed us with?

Maybe it’s time for us to check ourselves and take inventory of all that God has done. And maybe in doing so we will be reminded of things that we had actually forgotten about or have begun to take for granted.

We might not have everything that we’d like to have. There may still be things that we want. But we should never reach a point of being ungrateful for what we already have. And if we have, let’s repent and ask God to touch our hearts and ask God to forgive us and give us a renewed sense of thankfulness and gratefulness.

Bible Verse of The Day – 11-27-15

Psalm 92:1 (NKJV) 92 It is good to give thanks to the Lord, and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High;

We don’t normally do messages based on holidays or other traditional celebrations. But here in the United States, we just celebrated a holiday we call Thanksgiving Day. The premise for this celebration is to gather with family and loved ones and give thanks to God for His blessings and His provision.

It’s good to give thanks to God for everything He’s done. But we don’t need to wait for a special holiday to do this!

Every day that we live, we should be thanking Him, regardless of our situations or circumstances.

Sometimes it may seem easier to give thanks than other times. Seasons of famine or struggle can be difficult to find reasons to give thanks.

But if we take our eyes off of our situation and look at what we have been blessed with, we’ll probably see things a bit differently, and have no problem at all thanking God for everything He’s done for us.

So be sure to take time each day to thank Him, even for the little things. It will help us keep our focus on what we have, instead of what we don’t have.
