Bible Verse of The Day – 8-27-24

John 17:3 (NKJV) 3 And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.

When things are unbearable to walk out, we’d better know Him. We’ve got to have Him; He is the only way we will make it through.

This past week, we heard of someone who lost their spouse at a very young age. It happened quickly.

The person, only in their mid 40s, had a heart attack and never recovered from it. They left behind a spouse and 6 young children to care for.

Oh, the pain I saw in this man’s eyes. He was clearly hurting.

In an instant, everything has changed for them. They are facing a difficult and unbearable time.

If we are a child of God, and things like this happen to us, we need to know He is there for us!

Hold onto Him. Cry out to Him. Lean on Him and rest in His arms.

Day by day, He will be our ROCK.

We must let Him go before us. He will be at our right hand.

He will light up our path in the darkest storm. He will comfort us in those hurtful situations. He will quiet us and give us peace in the most hostile and chaotic moments.

Psalm 16:8 (NKJV) 8 I have set the Lord always before me; Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved.

We pray that you know Him! Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-26-24

Luke 12:40 (NKJV) 40 Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.”

As Jesus shared a parable about a faithful servant and an evil servant, He used examples of a master leaving home and then returning later.

His parable alludes to the fact that the servants did not know at what time the master would return, so their loyalty and diligence was put to the test.

Jesus encouraged His disciples to be always prepared, like “men who wait for their master” that when he knocks, they open the door to him immediately.

And so it should be for us today.

We should not let the cares of the world catch us up in worry and fretting.

We should not allow jealousy and envy to cause us to constantly spin our wheels in pursuit of wealth and popularity.

Let us, instead, spend our time and our effort on the things of God’s kingdom; the things that please Him and cause our relationship with Him to grow and flourish.

That we be like the faithful servant spoken of by Jesus who keeps themselves prepared and girded, with a lamp always burning, ready for Him upon His return.

If we feel ourselves getting drawn in by the cares of this world, may we surrender ourselves fully to Him and obey the leading of His Spirit.

Luke 12:37-38 (NKJV) 37 Blessed are those servants whom the master, when he comes, will find watching. Assuredly, I say to you that he will gird himself and have them sit down to eat, and will come and serve them. 38 And if he should come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-25-24 – A Work in Progress

Please click to watch the video now.Greetings in the name of Jesus!

There is a phrase that Jesus spoke in which He referred to specks and planks.

In our new video, we also refer to that phrase as we teach about being careful not to judge others because we are all “A Work in Progress” as God teaches us and molds us.

This is a great lesson for all of us, to remind us that not even one of us is perfect.

We hope you enjoy it!

We love you all!

Enjoy your day.

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-24-24

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV) 5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

To be able to trust God, we must first surrender to Him.

How do we surrender to anyone or anything?

We comply with the way they want to do things. We submit or allow them to have authority. We agree to stop resisting them.

Surrendering to God is trusting Him even when we may not understand everything.

What is it today that God is asking us to surrender to Him?

Are we holding back, resisting and not allowing Him to have authority in a certain area of our lives?

I have realized that it not only hurts us to keep resisting Him, but it delays things that He wants to be able to do with us and through us.

We all go through this at different times in our walk. Let us stand today in agreement that together we wholly surrender that part of us that we continue to resist Him with. That He may be able to direct our path fully.

Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-23-24

Jeremiah 29:13 (NKJV) 13 And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.

With all your heart. With your whole heart.

In our relationship with God, these two phrases are more important for us to understand than most of us realize.

Numerous times throughout God’s Word, we are instructed to seek Him with all our heart and to love Him with our whole heart.

Deuteronomy 6:5 (NKJV) 5 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.

His desire is that we put Him above all else.

But do we?

As humans, it can be challenging to do this consistently unless we determine in our hearts and make a conscious, sincere effort to do so.

If we could get this one thing right, to put Him above all else, our lives would change drastically!

Our walk with God would grow exponentially. The way we interact with people would change. The way we see everything about our lives would be forever altered.

Our heart would begin to desire the things of God more than the things of the world.

Our attitude would change.

Our outlook on life would change.

Our habits would change.

Our language would change.

Our circle of friends would change.

How we spend our money would change.

The things we participate in would change.

The things we watch and listen to would change.

We would stop gossiping.

We would put down our phones and pick up our Bibles.

We would learn to forgive.

And the list can go on to be quite lengthy.

But not one of us can experience any of this if we don’t make the effort.

It will not happen simply by us wanting it to.

It all starts when we take the first step, and we trust God to lead us into the second step, the third step, and so on.

Today is that day; the day to start.

You will never regret it.

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-22-24

Matthew 22:37 (NKJV) 37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’

When we become God’s child, we show Him our love by surrendering and obeying Him in a way that we have never known before.

Change comes to our heart through reading His word and making adjustments as the Holy Spirit leads us to do so. When our heart changes our mind will begin to think differently.

When we renew our mind, it changes from the fearful ways of the carnal mind to the vibrant, faith-induced thinking of the quickened spiritual mind.

If we don’t allow God to get ahold of our heart, and change its condition, our minds will remain the same. And we will continue to function and operate as when we were an” unsaved” person. Change must come to a believer!

As we follow God’s leading, there will be noticeable changes taking place within us. And some people may even begin to look at us differently. Some people may not like the changes they see in us.

We can’t let this discourage us. I like to think of these as “growing pains.”

It may be a little painful when people don’t agree with our decision to follow Christ, but we will surely grow in a good way if we don’t give up and we don’t let them pressure us into doing things their way.

As the changes take place in our heart and mind, our soul will do one of two things. It will want to follow or to run far away.

According to the dictionary: A soul is made up of the mind, will, and emotions of a person. The soul is the seat of feelings, desires, and affections. It’s the character or substance of a person.

We must make our soul obey! That’s right. It takes work, diligence, and a constant reminder of God’s word.

When the soul behaves as a child of God that loves Him with all his heart and mind, WOW! That is when God’s light will shine brightly through that believer, and he/she will make a statement!

Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-21-24

Jeremiah 24:7 (NKJV) 7 Then I will give them a heart to know Me, that I am the Lord; and they shall be My people, and I will be their God, for they shall return to Me with their whole heart.

The people of Israel have a long history of heart problems. And this does not refer to a medical condition.

The Israelites have spent much of the last several centuries being chastened by God for their behavior.

God has shown them great favor by intervening on their behalf in situations that would have meant certain death for their entire civilization.

He rescued them. And in return He asked only for their wholehearted dedication and love.

The people of Israel were always quick to promise Him all of what He asked for.

And then just as quick to betray Him by worshiping idols of metal, wood, stone, or anything else they could find to fabricate a god from.

And then along came Jesus, the long-awaited Messiah; God in the flesh who laid down His life for humanity.

And the Jews once again grieved God by rejecting Him.

And why did this happen?

Because their hearts were hard; prone to practicing rituals and traditions instead of allowing God to soften and shape their hearts into what and who He wanted them to be.

As followers of Christ, we must also do the same; be cautious to allow God to keep our hearts soft and pliable.

We need to listen for His voice, and heed what we hear Him say.

And we must guard our hearts against anything that tries to put distance or enmity (hostility, animosity, friction) between us and our God.

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-20-24

Mark 10:51 (NKJV) 51 So Jesus answered and said to him, “What do you want Me to do for you?” The blind man said to Him, “Rabboni, that I may receive my sight.”

Sometimes we miss Jesus’s answer to us. Sometimes we are so distracted with our problem, our schedule, or our need we simply miss the question.

What do you want Me to do for you?

Can we sit at His feet today and answer Him? Can we stop what we are doing long enough to let Him know what we need?

This blind man, Bartimaeus, had no problem telling Jesus what He needed Him to do.

Do we have a problem asking Him for what we need?

After Bartimaeus told Jesus what he needed, he immediately received what he needed.

Mark 10:52 (NKJV) 52 Then Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the road.

Do we have faith today to believe Jesus for His answer for us? Are we ready to see miracles happen?

The storms of life can be very turbulent and can cause us to step back at times. But, remember Who calms the seas!

Mark 4:39 (NKJV) 39 Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.

What do you need Him to do for you today?

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-19-24

Psalm 9:1 (NKJV) 1 I will praise You, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will tell of all Your marvelous works.

The phrase “whole heart” is one that I find intriguing.

It is not the phrase itself that catches my attention, but the connotations behind that phrase.

Our relationship with God will be as strong as what we put into it; our whole heart, or just a portion of it.

In the Psalm above, King David wrote that he would tell of God’s marvelous works with his whole heart; with everything in him.

David had a good grasp on the fact that this is what God asks of us; our whole heart.

As His children, it is what He asks of us as well. Not just that we would tell of Him with our whole heart, but that we would pursue and desire Him with our whole heart.

It is what He has asked for all along, and why the people of Israel were constantly in trouble, as they split their devotion to Him with idols and false gods.

This is a serious thing for us to understand. So serious, in fact, that in the book of Revelation we are told that if we give less than our whole heart (being lukewarm in our affections and dedication to Him), especially if we do so intentionally, we will be vomited out.

Revelation 3:16 (NKJV) 16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.

We are living in a spiritual season of perpetual lukewarmness.

The world offers so many things that vie for our time, attention, and affection. It can be extremely easy to fall prey to this and lose the intensity that God asks for in our relationship with Him.

And if we are not careful, our heart begins to stray ever so slightly, creating a crack in the bond between us and God.

But God is faithful. He is patient and merciful. And if we recognize this lapse in our walk with Him, whether tiny or large, and we repent, He is more than willing to meet us where we are at, drawing us in with open arms.

Let us not be as the Israelites were; a stiff-necked people who suffered the wrath of God for their love of idols and false gods.

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-18-24 – With All Your Heart

Please click to watch the video now.Greetings in the name of Jesus!

The phrase, with all your heart, is one that is critical to our walk with God being strong.

There are many inferences in that phrase that are important for us to understand.

In today’s new video, “With All Your Heart“, we teach about God wanting us to love Him and serve Him with all our heart.

This idea is one that will change everything about us once we fully understand it and begin applying it to our lives.

We hope you enjoy the video.

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-17-24

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV) 5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

We must learn to trust God in many areas of our lives, especially when He brings change.

Change is often met with resistance. It is a natural reaction to be hesitant when change comes.

But what if we embraced it, even though we are scared and afraid of the unknown?

We would find that the change we once feared is what we needed to help us grow.

Can we remember a time when we had to stop the way we were doing something and learn something completely different? Something we never thought we would be doing?

And where did it take us?

If we follow the change through, and give it some time, we will forget about the fear and uncomfortable part of it and begin to see the results from allowing change to do its part.

God does not change things up on us to make us look silly, or to cause us to fret, or to bring insecurity. He brings change for one reason; that we may grow and benefit!

And if we trust Him, embracing His change rather than talking ourselves out of it, we will grow in our walk with Him and He will continue to direct our path. Amen.
