Bible Verse of The Day – 9-7-24

Exodus 14:29 (NKJV 29 But the children of Israel had walked on dry land in the midst of the sea, and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.

The thought of this blows my intellectual thinking process right out the window.

It must have been amazing to be there and be a part of it!

Imagine looking around, seeing the water on both sides of us, and dry land where there is supposed to be water.

Imagine getting halfway there and suddenly realizing, “WHAT am I doing?”.

This took strength, obedience, and a big trust in God!

Where are we today? Do we need God to split the sea for us? And when He does, will we walk through, or will we be too scared to take those first steps?

When God opens anything for us, He is faithful to get us through to the other side. Just walk and don’t look back!

Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 9-6-24

1 Samuel 16:18 (LSB) 18 Then one of the young men answered and said, “Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite who is a skillful musician, a mighty man of valor, a warrior, one who is understanding in speech, and man of fine form; and Yahweh is with him.”

The life of David would be perfect for a case study of someone used by God for his qualities, and despite his faults.

He is an example of someone who loved God, working diligently to do what was right and honorable in His eyes.

The verse above listed David’s attributes; skillful musician, a man of valor, a warrior, sensible, physically attractive.

And finally, it was said that God’s presence was with him.

As I have recently been working my way through 1 Samuel and 2 Samuel again, I have been paying close attention specifically to David and the things he did.

He was truly a man after God’s heart. An honorable man who, despite being a warrior, also displayed God’s mercy and compassion toward Saul, who had tried to kill him numerous times.

On multiple occasions, David had opportunities to easily kill Saul. But he refused to do so, knowing that Saul was anointed by God as Israel’s king.

Seeing this really impacted me and got me thinking. It caused me to examine myself and ask if I would have been able to do the same had I been in David’s shoes at those moments.

And it caused me to ask God to continue to do a work in my heart and life, transforming me more each day as I surrender myself to Him, that I might be as David was; a man after God’s own heart.

May we all have a heart like David’s, wanting to please God and bring glory and honor to His name in all we do, even despite ourselves.

Bible Verse of The Day – 9-5-24

Psalm 133:1 (NKJV) 1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity!

The Father, the Son, and the Spirit are one in unity. And those connected through Him become one as well.

If all children of God could get on the same page with Him, we would be in such unity and harmony.

It would be so very productive and exciting to live in such a time of Oneness with God!

If we would allow God to bring our hearts together, and let Him to teach us to function as one unit, we would be in awe at the things we see!

We would know what to pray for together without even knowing each other. We would know the direction to go without even knowing the reason. Oneness with God means oneness with each other.

The Holy Spirit can get us on this “same page” if we humbly submit our desires to Him. We will change, and our hearts will line up with all the things He loves and wants to see changed.

Let us come together in unity as we come into oneness with our Creator!

Bible Verse of The Day – 9-4-24

1 John 4:4 (NKJV) 4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

As John penned his first epistle to the early church, he began the fourth chapter by warning believers that many false prophets had gone out into the world.

His purpose was to tell the body of Christ that we must not believe every spirit, but test the spirits by which messages come to us from those who call themselves men and women of God.

He went on to warn that the spirit of the Antichrist was already in the world and is using these same false prophets to spread lies and deceit throughout the body of Christ.

John then spoke words of faith and encouragement to the believers of that day by stating that they had already overcome the spirit of the Antichrist “because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.”

The truth that he stated that “He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world” is one that most of us fail to fully comprehend.

It is a deep truth that carries much more weight than we realize.

As children of God, grasping the weight of this truth will help us live lives of strong faith and great spiritual fortitude.

It will also help us defeat fear in our lives and live our lives more powerfully in the Spirit.

God never intended that we live lives of fear and trepidation, trembling at the thought of the enemy.

He has given us the weapons we need to live strong lives of victory. We just need to understand and remember that we live not by what we see or what we can understand by our natural eyes and mind, but by the Spirit of God and the faith that He has planted in us.

And it is when we understand that our battles are not carnal, but spiritual, that we know our strength lies not in ourselves, but in living and walking by the Spirit of God.

2 Corinthians 10:4 (NKJV) 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds…

Bible Verse of The Day – 9-3-24

John 1:1-2 (NKJV) 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God.

The Son of God was in the beginning with God, and He was God.

John 1:3 (NKJV) 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.

The trees, the grass, the animals, the waters, the heavens and the earth itself. Everything we see and touch, He created it!

He became flesh and He lived among us. He came from heaven and was born of a virgin. He walked and talked. He taught, and He lived out His life for 33 years here on earth.

He was God in the flesh. He came here to save us from our sins. After being brutally beaten, He was nailed to a cross to die.

Jesus Christ, “the Word”. God in the flesh has given us an opportunity to have eternal life.

John 3:16 (NKJV) 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Let God touch your heart today, that you may put your faith in Him and not perish but have everlasting life!

Bible Verse of The Day – 9-2-24

Deuteronomy 6:5 (NKJV) 5 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.

This is the greatest commandment of all.

It should get our full attention.

And it should be where we put our greatest efforts.

All else comes after this. For if we get this right, many other things will fall into place in our lives.

With that said, we need to look at some of the ways this is overlooked and improperly prioritized.

Humanity has a sin problem. We wrestle with lust, fornication, drunkenness, pride, thievery, etc.

We fight loneliness, anger, bitterness, and we hold grudges. We struggle with forgiving others.

And then one day someone tells us that God is the solution to these things. And they are correct. He is.

But if we pursue a relationship with God solely to ask Him to fix our problems, we are in it for the wrong reasons. We have a mistaken perspective.

Our pursuit of God should be for who He is, seeking forgiveness and the redemption of our sinful selves, not just for Him to fix our problems.

When we pursue Him with mistaken motives, our relationship with Him is doomed to failure before it even starts.

Why?

Because if we go to Him looking only for solutions to our problems, and those solutions fail to come, or come more slowly than we hoped for, many will walk away claiming that “it didn’t work” for them.

But when we seek Him for who He is, learning to love Him more than life itself, He will help us overcome our sin in ways that defies human understanding and logic.

And our lives will be transformed because He is moving and working in us as we draw near to Him and seek Him with our whole heart.

It all comes down to having the right motives and the proper perspective. And as our love for Him grows, and we learn to fully surrender to Him, He will begin to set us free from the things that had held us captive for so long.

Jeremiah 29:13 (NKJV) 13 And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.

We trust that God is blessing your life and drawing you near to Himself.

As we walk through life, we each face different experiences.

Other things can bring us great anguish and cause fear or anxiety.

But God is faithful to walk us through those things if we are willing to obey His voice and follow His leading.

In today’s new video, Your Shame Can Be Their Victory, we teach about God using the hard things we have been through to help others who may be going through similar trials.

We hope it will bring you peace, hope, comfort, and encouragement.

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-31-24

Matthew 7:1 (NKJV) 1 “Judge not, that you be not judged.

We are all in a different place in our walk with God.

And this is one of the reasons we should never judge a person.

We don’t know where others are at, or what they are dealing with. Only God knows.

His judgement is righteous, and He knows everything about each person, and He judges them rightly.

Thank God He is our judge. He gives us all many chances to get things right. And He forgives us for things we would never forgive ourselves for doing. His mercy is new every day!

Lamentations 3:22-23 (NKJV) 22 Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. 23 They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.

There are a lot of things we all must work on. But hopefully, as we get stronger in our walk with God, some things will become less of a struggle for us.

Our journey with Christ is an ongoing walk. It is a process.

We are all learning, growing and asking God for His forgiveness, whether we are a new believer or an older believer.

When we see others doing things that we have grown away from, we may judge them or look at them negatively. But the better thing to teach ourselves is to pray for them and ask God to help them in that area.

We must remember to continue to treat others with the same treatment God gives to us; with much love, mercy and forgiveness.

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-30-24

Genesis 1:3 (NKJV) 3 Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.

Sometimes we need to take our eyes off the heavy stuff that is happening around us and just focus on the One; our Creator and Redeemer.

With His words He spoke the worlds and everything in them into existence.

He did not require anyone to supply Him with materials. Why? Because He is.

He has been for eternity, and He will continue to be.

There is nothing made that was not made by Him.

He breathed life into the nostrils of Adam.

And that breath of life lives in every human being that is conceived in the womb of their mother.

It is in Him that we find our strength, our peace, and our solace.

It is in Him that we find mercy and compassion.

And it is because of that mercy that He made a way for us to be saved. It is a gift made available to all humanity.

We just need to reach out and take it.

Today, let us take a few minutes to stop and thank Him simply for who He is.

Give Him honor and glory. Tell Him how much you love Him.

It is what we are here for. And He is more than worthy!

Amen

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-29-24

Matthew 17:20 (NKJV) 20 So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.

We are so happy to share with you that we have seen some tremendous breakthroughs and miracles take place this year in the lives of others!

Most of these have been health-related.

We are in awe; truly amazed at what God is doing. All praises belong to Him!

We should ask ourselves, is prayer just a word to us, a word we use often without realizing its power and importance?

Is it a phrase that has become too common?

Do we mean it when we say, “I will pray for you, I will lift you up in prayer, I will keep you in my prayers”?

Do we take them to God?

Do we believe in the power of prayer?

Do we pray knowing that God’s ear is on the receiving end of it, listening intently and ready to act as we stand together in agreement with Him?

When we realize that prayer is more than just a word we use to comfort people, that prayer spoken in faith is powerful, that it will get answered, and that it is our “open line” to God, then we will see the importance of spending time in prayer.

Along with prayer, we need to understand there is another important, very powerful word; fasting.

Fasting is required in some situations. The Holy Spirit will prompt us to fast at times.

If we are a follower of Christ, we have access to the throne room of God.

Jesus Christ dying on that cross gave those who call on His name the right to become God’s child. And as His child we can go directly to Him at any time of the day and night.

Are we ready to pray and fast for situations, and see God’s mighty hand touch down around us?

We believe that every child of God can move mountains if they have faith as a mustard seed.

John 1:12-13 (NKJV) 12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-28-24

Luke 12:32 (NKJV) 32 “Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

Do you spend time worrying about the things that are happening in the world right now?

Does it bother us that evil is running unchecked, with no justice meted out to those who are the perpetrators of all we are seeing?

Do we wring our hands at the increase of wars and rumors of wars?

Are we angry with the chaos we see happening around the globe, wondering how this can all be happening?

Do we struggle with the fact that evil people are in charge in many places, and that their leadership only propagates evil further?

Do we fret over whether we will be able to afford the necessities of life as we watch prices of everyday items continue to rise?

Here are five words to allay your fears and concerns: Do not fear, little flock.

As Jesus spoke those words, He was speaking to His disciples about cares and worries.

He specifically told them not to worry about what they would wear or eat. For life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.

Food and clothing are the things we tend to worry about most. They are the staples of life.

But though they are staples, these are the very things Jesus told us not to fret about!

And here is what Jesus says in response to our worries.

Luke 12:31 (NKJV) 31 But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you.

These things, the very things we worry about, will be given to us as we put God first and seek His kingdom.

Therefore, do not worry.
