(Mal 3:10 NKJV)  Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,” Says the LORD of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it.

Do we think that God needs our money? Do we think that He can’t see what we do with our money, what we spend it on or not spend it on?

The truth is, God can do anything He wants to do and He really doesn’t need us or our money. But what He has done is made it possible for us to be able to choose to obey Him freely, and by doing so He wants to reward us GREATLY.

I believe that God wants us to give to Him what He has asked for, a tenth of our earnings. He would not have put it in His Word and made it clear to us if it was not important. This verse has gotten lost over the years because it’s a hard subject to address.

It’s time to trust God today and take Him at His Word…Give to Him your tithe and watch your situation change….He is FAITHFUL!!

(Mat 21:10 NKJV)  And when He had come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, “Who is this?”

I’m very often amazed when I read the accounts of Jesus in the days when he walked the earth.

His presence caused incredible things to happen. Lives were changed. History was altered.

Although Jesus isn’t physically still here on earth, His presence still dwells here within us, believers in His salvation.

It’s up to each of us to continue to carry His presence to others around us, showing them His love, compassion, grace and mercy.

As I’ve said before and I’ll continue to say for the rest of my days, our lives can have a profound, life-changing effect on those around us, if we let it.

I know that I would love nothing better than to visit a place and have the presence of God flowing through me in such a way as to have people saying “Who is this?”, so I can tell them all about God’s love.

(Luke 8:50 NKJV)  But when Jesus heard it, He answered him, saying, “Do not be afraid; only believe, and she will be made well.”

What is holding us back from getting our healing, our breakthrough, our deliverance, our VICTORY? It’s whether or not we believe.

We can’t talk ourselves right out of receiving the answer that God has given us because of our unbelief, our doubts, our second guessing. Remember what happened to Peter when he started to do that; (Mat 14:29-31 NKJV)  So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. {30} But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!” {31} And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?”

Stand strong and hold on to God’s hand, don’t start looking around and listening to negative talk.

You want to see miracles today? You want to see your friends and family members saved? You want to pay your bills on time and have some money left over to put in your bank account? You want to go on a vacation, buy a house, or rent a bigger apartment? You need a good Godly spouse and you’re having trouble finding one?

How about the job you have; do you need help dealing with your co workers?

Is your teenager acting out with all their hormonal changes, acting all rebellious?

God’s answer to us is…ONLY BELIEVE!!

Go to Him today and lay all of these things down at the altar… and believe Him for the answer!!

(Mat 17:19-21 NKJV)  Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not cast it out?” {20} So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. {21} “However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.”

There are times when we can do something easily… using only the knowledge that we have.

But there are times when there’s something that we need to do and it requires more preparation, such as prayer and fasting.

The disciples had tried to cast a demon out of a man but it refused to leave, despite their best efforts. This bewildered them and they questioned Jesus about it. He explained it to them by telling them that they didn’t have the faith needed to accomplish this task.

Prayer and fasting helps to strengthen our faith. It helps us to believe God and take Him at His word. It helps us to hear God and know His will.

If there is something in your life that needs to be moved or changed, or maybe there is a stronghold that needs to be broken, don’t try to do it on your own. Our own understanding isn’t always enough.

We need to pray and seek God and we might even need to fast, in order to have the spiritual strength that we need to get the job done.

Some things don’t come easy. But God gives us the tools and the weapons we need to get the job done and win the battle before us.

(Mat 4:9 NKJV)  And he said to Him, “All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.”

In the verse above, satan is tempting Jesus. He has already tempted Him with other things and then ultimately tries to get Jesus to worship him. Jesus sent him away.

In our own lives, the temptations that come our way aren’t always so blatant and in our face. The enemy never stands in our face and tells us what he’ll give us in exchange for our sin.

Temptation typically comes in more subtle ways, enticing us quietly and seemingly innocent.

But God has given us what we need to discern temptations and walk away from them.

He has given us a conscience and He has given is His spirit. We can never say that we didn’t know something was wrong. Deep down inside, we always know. God has made it that way.

More importantly, He has given us His grace for those times when we do fall.

So be alert and ready for when temptation comes, because it will come. Be ready to send the devil away. And know that if you do stumble and fall into temptation that God is willing to forgive us if we simply ask with a sincere heart.

(Psa 95:6-7 NKJV)  Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the LORD our Maker.

Right where we are, as we spend time reading and pondering on this verse, let God know how much He means to us. Take some time to show Him our love.

We don’t have to spend hours and hours with Him; it only takes but a minute to let Him know we love Him, just by telling Him.

Don’t let this day go by without telling Him…stop for a few minutes and let Him hear it…Oh the Joy that fills His ears!

Give Him praise today on this fine Friday, for He is Worthy!

He is our Lord and our Maker!

(1 Tim 4:12 NKJV)  Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

We recently received an email from someone who shared how God has been touching the lives of those in their ministry. They were on fire for God and have been very encouraged by things they have learned.

But they said that they were too young to minister for the Lord.

I wrote back and encouraged them to use their lives as examples, even if they were “too young” to preach formally.

You see, our lives are our testimony. We are to let the light and the love of God shine through us in everything that we do. It’s not just preaching and teaching that spreads the gospel of Jesus Christ, but it’s the example that we set each and every day to those around us.

So, regardless of your age, remember that what people see in our lives may be the only gospel they ever “hear”.

(Jonah 1:7 NKJV)  And they said to one another, “Come, let us cast lots, that we may know for whose cause this trouble has come upon us.” So they cast lots, and the lot fell on Jonah.

Jonah was on the run. God had given him instructions but Jonah just plain didn’t want to do what God had told him to do.

Are any of us on the run today? Has God told us something that we’re running from?

It’s not hard to run from God, but it’s hard to get away from Him!

Maybe there’s something God has asked you to do. Maybe there’s something God has asked you to stop doing. Either way, God’s right. And if we try to run and hide, it won’t work for very long.

Talk to God today. Ask Him to forgive you for running. Take a step toward Him and toward the thing that He requires of you. You’ll be better off for it.

(Mat 27:12 NKJV)  And while He was being accused by the chief priests and elders, He answered nothing.

This is an example to us that there are times when we are wrongly accused, but just as Jesus did here, we need to do the same.

We don’t need to defend ourselves at times and we don’t need to always show that we are right. There are times when our silence will be our witness. We can ruin our witness sometimes by opening our mouths and saying things we shouldn’t say. Whether we are defending ourselves or not, it’s no excuse.

Let’s walk and learn from Jesus’ example that silence in itself is sometimes our best answer.

On the other hand, some people will use silence in an abusive way. For instance if they are mad at someone and they are just being manipulative and trying to get their own way, they don’t speak to that person until they get what they want. This is WRONG. Maybe that person doesn’t fully know what we were doing by playing the “silent treatment” on them and maybe we do end up getting what we want. But God knows our motives.

Let silence work for you, not against you.

(Psa 38:21 NKJV)  Do not forsake me, O LORD; O my God, be not far from me!

Have you ever felt like this? Has it ever seemed like God was a million miles away and wasn’t hearing a single thing that you’ve said to Him?

I’ve had people ask me about this. It’s more common than most people realize. We all go through it sometimes.

Most times when people are having trouble hearing God it’s because there is something that has come between us… something that is either blocking the way between us and Him, or something that has caused a gap between us and Him.

More often than not, this is due to the fact that we have said or done something that isn’t pleasing to Him or is contrary to His word. This causes distance between us and God.

The further we are from someone, the harder it is to hear them. If you’re having trouble hearing God, take a look at what you’ve done recently. There’s probably something in the recent past that has caused this silence.

It usually doesn’t take much to fix this. Asking for forgiveness and repenting is a huge step in the right direction. Once we’ve done that, we just need to leave it at the foot of the cross and be done with it.

Let’s start the week off right, by taking care of anything that might be creating a gap between us and God.

(Psa 5:2 NKJV)  Give heed to the voice of my cry, My King and my God, For to You I will pray.

Don’t ever stop praying. When times get tough…PRAY. When times are good… PRAY. When we feel all alone…PRAY. When we feel we’re on top of the world…PRAY.

God loves to hear our prayers and He loves to help us and be there for us. I remember when my kids were young, if there was ever any trouble, whether at home or school, I couldn’t move fast enough to get there. Now, that’s an earthly parent. Can you just imagine how much our Heavenly Father wants to be there for us?

Don’t rush things, there is no hurry. Pray and let God move.

God bless you…and have a wonderful, relaxing weekend!!
