Bible Verse of The Day – 10-21-24

Psalm 90:2 (LSB) 2 Before the mountains were born Or You brought forth the earth and the world, Even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God.

God is exponentially bigger than we can understand or comprehend.

He is infinite and unfathomable.

His wisdom and knowledge are more than can be contained in the earth.

His mercy cannot be understood or rationalized.

His thoughts are higher than what man can contain or process in our minds or our intellect.

Think about it.

He spoke the worlds into existence.

He formed man from the dust and breathed life into his nostrils.

He commanded the waters to divide, and they became the seas and the clouds

He separated the day from the night.

He created fish and all other water-dwelling creatures.

He gave those aquatic creatures a special anatomy to be able to extract oxygen from water and breathe it in without having to come to the surface to get air.

He gave certain goats the ability to climb vertical surfaces that defies human understanding.

He created sunshine, wind, rain, thunder, and lightning.

He designed rivers and streams to flow into the oceans.

He created tides that come in and go out at specific intervals of time.

He designed the earth to revolve around the sun, giving us night and day.

Seasons come and go right on cue because He made it this way.

So, what does all this mean for us?

It means that we serve a God who is bigger than everything.

He holds the worlds in His hands.

He is trustworthy and faithful. His words are true.

He is eternal; from everlasting to everlasting!

When our trust is in Him, we have nothing to fear. We should not worry.

And though the things we see trouble our minds, we must remember that He has told us to trust Him even when we might not understand.

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV) 5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

Bible Verse of The Day – 10-20-24 – The Power of Words

Please click to watch the video now.Greetings in the wonderful name of Jesus!

Something we all have in common is words.

We speak them every day from a very young age. We may not all speak the same language, but the words we speak have the same meanings.

In our newest video, The Power of Words, we teach about letting God show us how and when to speak words that glorify Him.

This is something we can all use a reminder about from time to time.

We hope you enjoy the video.

Bible Verse of The Day – 10-19-24

Proverbs 11:2 (NKJV) 2 When pride comes, then comes shame; But with the humble is wisdom.

We live in a world that is full of self-absorbed philosophies and vain deceit.

If we are to remain humble, we must pay attention and work on it daily.

Here are a few things we can keep active in our walk with God that will help us remain humble.

Esteem (think of) others as better than ourselves.

Look out for the interest of others.

Continue to grow in hearing God and obeying His word.

Obeying the things He places on our hearts will not only keep us humble, but will also keep us walking in His wisdom.

What are the fruits of living a humble life?

It can improve relationships and make us more empathetic toward others. It also shows maturity on our part.

When we recognize our weaknesses and take responsibility for them, when we listen to others and admit when we are wrong, when we find it in ourselves to serve others without looking for something in return, this is evidence of us allowing God to build our character and make us more Christ-like.

Walking in humility is not something we can fake or mimic. It must come from the heart to make it meaningful.

The older I become the more I like being around humble people. They are real, and most of them have been through so much in their lives that when they talk they are full of not just stories, but experience, sound words, and wisdom.

This tells me that going through things in life isn’t always as bad as we’d like to claim it is, but can help us learn valuable lessons.

It can keep us in a good place in our walk with God.

Remember today, that with the humble is wisdom! Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 10-18-24

2 Kings 22:11 (NKJV) 11 Now it happened, when the king heard the words of the Book of the Law, that he tore his clothes.

Our sincerity in our walk with God is more important than we know.

And if we look at it closely, we will understand that it revolves around what is in our heart.

In the verse above, king Josiah had realized that the nation of Judah had neglected God and their relationship with Him.

They had abandoned Him.

It happened by no fault of their own. The generations preceding them had slowly left God behind, trading Him for idols and false gods.

But when Josiah discovered the truth about their situation, he immediately tore his clothing as was the Jewish custom when something terrible had happened.

More importantly, though, he took steps to rectify the situation and get the people of Judah back on track.

So it should be for us.

Our walk with God should be the highest priority in our life. Everything else must come after.

And when we see that we have lapsed somewhere, fixing it must be what we focus on.

As with Josiah, the state of our heart must be one that is soft and pliable; moldable by God.

Life, and the things we encounter, can cause our hearts to become hard and callous. A heart in this condition does not easily respond to God’s promptings or the conviction of the Holy Spirit.

The best remedy for this is for us to recognize our condition and to lay ourselves repentantly at the feet of Jesus, asking Him to teach us His ways.

And He will willingly do that for each of us, no questions asked.

Bible Verse of The Day – 10-17-24

1 Chronicles 29:13 (NKJV) 13 “Now therefore, our God, We thank You And praise Your glorious name.

We just want to thank God today for the encouragement we have been receiving from many of our readers. Your words mean a lot to us!

It is so touching to hear your feedback, but mostly to know that God is speaking through us to reach you where you’re at. How wonderfully amazing He is!

It truly blows our minds, and we give Him all the glory. Amen

You are very dear to us, and we want to make sure we are feeding you with the spiritual food you need.

The Holy Spirit is our Helper; He wants to lead us in our daily walk.

We need to rely on Him at all times for answers and understanding regarding the things that go on each day.

He will guide us into all truth!

John 16:13 (NKJV) 13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.

Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 10-16-24

Ephesians 3:20-21 (NKJV) 20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

God is much bigger and more powerful than we can fathom.

Our finite human minds can barely begin to grasp who He really is in His fullness.

As His children, we must be careful not to put God in a box that is smaller than He can fit in.

What does that mean?

It means that we need to be careful that we don’t believe Him for less than He can do.

Jeus spoke the words, “your faith has made you well” on more than one occasion.

This is critical for us to understand.

Yes, Jesus was the One who healed these people. But it was their faith that made their healing possible!

And so it is with so many things about our own lives. God can do much more than we can comprehend with our natural minds, so we must ask Him to help us believe by His Spirit.

This is not easy, especially when we are young believers. But as we grow, and we learn of Him (by spending time in His word), our faith should grow. And as that faith grows, we will see Him move on our behalf in ways that we never thought possible.

So, let us begin to trust Him wholly. Let us ask Him to help us with our doubt and unbelief. And watch as He opens our spiritual eyes to who He is and what He can do!

Mark 9:24 (NKJV) 24 Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!”

Bible Verse of The Day – 10-15-24

Job 36:11 (NKJV) 11 If they obey and serve Him, They shall spend their days in prosperity, And their years in pleasures.

We are praying that God meets your every need and that your days are prosperous!

God is faithful to us all. But we too must be faithful to Him. He shows us in His word that as we continue to obey Him, our life will be prosperous!

“If they obey and serve Him”, is a huge statement.

It doesn’t necessarily mean we won’t face hardship. But when we do, we have a place to run to, His pavilion, His tabernacle, His rock!

Psalm 27:5 (NKJV) 5 For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock.

If you are in trouble today, hold on to Him. He will guide us as to how to overcome the obstacle in front of us.

It may happen quickly or there may be several steps to take. But nevertheless, we will get victory, and the day will come to celebrate!

Let His name be glorified!

Bible Verse of The Day – 10-14-24

Galatians 5:25 (NKJV) 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

We live and exist in a body of flesh and bone.

When we are children of the world, we do so by following the ways and the desires of our flesh.

But when we become a child of God, things change.

We are now led by our spirit, which was created to commune with His spirit.

So, it is a natural progression for us to leave behind living by our flesh and turn to living by His Spirit.

The Holy Spirit was given to us as our Helper.

He teaches us new ways of thinking and acting.

He shows us where we need to change, but not just so we become better human beings, or nicer, kinder people.

He shows us how to do things in this new way; a way that we are not accustomed to as fleshly beings.

But as we learn of God and begin to follow the ways of the Son, Jesus Christ, we walk, talk, and think differently.

And this new way of thinking becomes evident by our new way of doing.

This is a mystery to our flesh. It is impossible for our human intellect to understand how a creature of worldly ways can be transformed into someone who now lives by the Spirit.

But God is able to do more than we can think or imagine.

Ephesians 3:20-21 (NKJV) 20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 10-12-24

John 16:33 (NKJV) 33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

In this world, difficult things will come our way.

Will they change us? And will that change be for the better, or will it change us for the worse?

Sometimes things happen to people and they can become very hard and bitter. Has this happened to us, and have we seen the change in ourselves?

It’s not an easy thing to stop change from happening. It can be very difficult to remain the same person after facing hardships or seeing something devastating happen.

This is really a choice we must make within ourselves. Let us choose not to let it leave a negative impact on us; to not let it leave a permanent scar on our heart.

Philippians 4:8 (NKJV) 8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.

Don’t focus on the hard or bad things. Move on and meditate on that which is good.

Ask God to help keep our heart in the right place at all times, finding the good even in the most difficult times.

A hard, calloused heart is not an easy one to fix. It takes time and continued application of God’s word under the guidance of the Holy Spirit to keep us soft and pliable.

Let us cry out for God to keep us focused on the good things in life, and not let our situation take over and keep us on an emotional rollercoaster ride.

Only God can help soften us. But we must be willing to lay down our pain at the foot of the cross and pick up the peace that He offers.

Philippians 4:7 (NKJV) 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Bible Verse of The Day – 10-11-24

Isaiah 37:36 (NKJV) 36 Then the angel of the Lord went out, and killed in the camp of the Assyrians one hundred and eighty-five thousand; and when people arose early in the morning, there were the corpses—all dead.

Just as God had promised through the prophet Isaiah, He delivered the people of Judah from the Assyrian army and king Sennacherib, as illustrated in the verse above.

Also, just as He had promised, king Sennacherib left, returning home the same way he came.

Isaiah 37:37 (NKJV) 37 So Sennacherib king of Assyria departed and went away, returned home, and remained at Nineveh.

Further, God ended king Sennacherib’s life at the hands of two of his own sons.

Isaiah 37:38 (NKJV) 38 Now it came to pass, as he was worshiping in the house of Nisroch his god, that his sons Adrammelech and Sharezer struck him down with the sword; and they escaped into the land of Ararat. Then Esarhaddon his son reigned in his place.

With all that we have covered over the last few days, here is what we now know, based on the word of God.

In some situations, God will allow certain actions to be carried out by people who have given themselves over to evil.

God does not make them evil. They choose to do evil themselves. He does not condone evil. He hates it.

Due to their evil hearts and actions, God uses them to punish or chasten those who call themselves His children but repeatedly disobey Him and worship idols and false gods.

Make no mistake. Every evil act we see is not happening to punish someone. Most happen solely because the person carrying them out is darkened in their heart, following the influence of the evil one himself.

But no matter why these things are carried out, God will also hold those same evil people accountable for their actions when He sees fit to do so, in His timing.

They receive due punishment for their actions, either in the here and now or at their appointed time of judgment.

This is important for us to understand because we often question how or why evil people go unpunished.

What we fail to realize is that they ultimately do get punished  if they don’t repent. But it may not always be in the timing we think it should be in, or in the way we think is fitting.

That is where we need to trust God and His sovereignty.

It can be easy to see things happening and begin to question God’s ways. But that only leads us to getting into trouble.

He always knows what is best. His ways are higher than ours. He knows and understands the big picture.

We hope this has brought some understanding where you may have been struggling to find it.

These things are difficult to witness and to navigate with respect to our faith and our trust in God. And it is important that we do not get caught up in trying to figure it all out.

We must remember that we walk by faith, not by sight.
