Bible Verse of The Day – 7-18-12

(Dan 3:26 NKJV)  Then Nebuchadnezzar went near the mouth of the burning fiery furnace and spoke, saying, “Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, servants of the Most High God, come out, and come here.” Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego came from the midst of the fire.

These 3 men were thrown into a fiery furnace for not bowing to Nebuchadnezzar’s gods or worshipping the golden image that he made. They took a strong stand and did not give in…not even to death.

Are you standing strong today and feeling the heat because of it? Just as God delivered Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, He will surely deliver you.

In the next verse, it says it all (Dan 3:27 NKJV)  the hair of their head was not singed nor were their garments affected, and the smell of fire was not on them.

Wow! Talk about a miracle… nobody could deny God’s magnificent power. Praise be to God, for He is faithful!!

You’re coming out of that fire and you too will be free from any harm!! In Jesus Name! Amen.

Stand strong, and don’t give in to the pressure.

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-17-12

(Heb 12:1 NKJV)  Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us…

Are you struggling with keeping your faith strong? Are the things of this world pulling on you and trying with all their might to break down your trust in God?

The race that we run is not a short one. It is life-long. This race lasts for all the days of our lives and we need to run it well.

The battles can make us weary, feeling like we can’t make it through another day of trials. But hold fast to your faith and your hope.

God has made a way for us to persevere and have victory, if we don’t faint and we don’t give up!

If you’re feeling weak, press into God. Immerse yourself in His word and pull your strength from Him. His resources are unlimited and His well will never run dry.

In the name of Jesus, don’t let your life be another example of a spiritual life sucked dry by the cares, worries and sins of this world.

Make a commitment to grow and strengthen your faith each day, not to let it shrink and fade.

People of God, stand strong!

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-16-12

(2 Tim 2:13 NKJV)  If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself.

God is always faithful, regardless of where we stand in our relationship with Him.

It doesn’t matter if we have completely turned or backs and walked away from Him, He remains the same. He has to. He is God. He is the foundation upon which everything else in this world is built.

During the last several days God has been teaching me a few things about myself. Much of it has to do with some poor choices I have made over the years, especially with regard to finances. It’s not really a matter of a lot of bad choices, but one poor choice that I seem to make repeatedly.

I am determined to get it right. I have made a vow in my heart to let God teach me this time so I won’t make the same stupid mistake again. What I find is so awesome is that He will teach me, despite me missing the ball so many times already.

Ask God today where you have been faithless and where you have missed Him, and then ask Him to help you get it right this time. He is faithful!

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-14-12

(Mat 5:20 KJV)  For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Today we have in the leaders church with the same mentality as the Scribes and Pharisees. They stand in the pulpit and teach what they think about God’s Word to be truth with their own understand, sharing and imparting wrong ideas and agendas.

Why do they do this? Because they don’t believe that the Holy Spirit was for everyone. They only believe He was for the Disciples and when they died that ended it all.

Without the gift of the Holy Spirit we can’t do the things that God wants us to do and He knew this. That’s why He sent Him to the disciples and for you and I. With Him helping us we can make right decisions, and know the timing of when to do things. There is discernment, understanding and strength to keep walking and to not give up during times when our natural minds just want to crash.

(John 14:16-17 NKJV)  “And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever; {17} “the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.

Our Helper, the Holy Spirit, is wanting to help us today. Let us not push Him away.

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-13-12

(1 Sam 17:49-51 NKJV)  Then David put his hand in his bag and took out a stone; and he slung it and struck the Philistine in his forehead, so that the stone sank into his forehead, and he fell on his face to the earth. {50} So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone, and struck the Philistine and killed him. But there was no sword in the hand of David. {51} Therefore David ran and stood over the Philistine, took his sword and drew it out of its sheath and killed him, and cut off his head with it. And when the Philistines saw that their champion was dead, they fled.

I want everyone to take note of something in the verses above.

David prevailed over Goliath when he hit him in the forehead with a stone. Goliath fell, face down, dead. But David didn’t stop there. Despite not having a sword of his own, he ran and took the sword of Goliath and stuck him, cutting his head off.

David finished the job. He could have walked away, leaving Goliath there on the ground. But he needed to make a statement to the enemy by cutting off the head of their champion.

We also need to make a statement to the enemy. As Christians, many of us have become weak in our battles and don’t make good use of our weapons, leaving the enemy alive at times when we need to finish him off.

God has given us weapons to fight with, so we need to learn to use them and WIN our battles, defeating the enemy soundly, not partially.

I want to encourage everyone today to rise up in battle and fight. Fight for your children, fight for your spouse, fight for your friends and fight for your spiritual leaders. Stand up and swing your sword and cut off the head of the enemy!!

We can do this. We just need to know that we can and then take action!

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-12-12

(Deu 6:12 NKJV)  “then beware, lest you forget the LORD who brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.

Sometimes I wonder, if I could start all over again at the age of 48, if I would change things in my life.

Honestly, I think there are some things I would love to do differently, knowing what I know now, but there are some things I never want to forget or change and wish I could remember every little detail. It is hard to remember every little thing, for over time it fades with life and all its activities.

There are things I never want to do over again, especially those things that hurt deeply and were painful to face. But those were the things that brought me to my knees; those were the times that drew me closer to God, closer then ever before.

I  never want to forget how He lifted me up, how He held me in His arms, how He comforted me, and how He turned the situation around. I hold dear to me His touch, His voice, and His faithfulness!!

God has truly taken me from the land of Egypt at times and from the bondage I was once in and brought me into His precious freedom!

Never forget the FREEDOM we can only find in HIM!!

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-11-12

(John 8:44 NKJV)  “You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.

The devil is the father of lies. There is no truth in him… only lies and deception.

He will lie to any one of us at any time in order to deceive us and lure us into his trap, or to get us to doubt God’s word.

Doubt is the exact opposite of faith, so if he can get us to doubt, will try to get us to go one step further and fall into temptation and sin.

Don’t believe the father of lies when he whispers in your ear. Don’t give him one inch of ground in your life!

(James 4:7b NKJV)  …Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

It’s not always easy to resist temptation, but the best thing we can do is turn and walk away from it and honor God by doing so.

The devil can only have what we give to him, nothing more and nothing less. So the next time he tries to plant seeds of doubt in your heart, tell him to get behind you, in the name of Jesus.

Put your foot on his neck, step down hard and keep it there!

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-10-12

(Psa 62:6 NKJV)  He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved.

No matter what comes our way, God is our rock.

We face many things in this life and some of them can be pretty difficult, but God will never forsake us.

In those times when it feels like we’re completely alone, He is there.

In those times when we feel like we can’t go on for one more day, He gives us strength.

When we feel like we have been abandoned by everyone we held dear, He is our Father and He holds out His arms to comfort us.

No matter what comes against us, if we trust in Him, we shall not be moved!

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-9-12

(Jer 1:8 NKJV)  Do not be afraid of their faces, For I am with you to deliver you,” says the LORD.

Taking a stand and saying the things that need to be said takes courage and the Holy Spirit to Help. I can testify that there are times, right before I have to say something that I know needs to be said, I get very uncomfortable and even shaky all over. I shake whether it is one person, ten or 200 hundred people; it doesn’t matter.

I struggle at times speaking up and this is an area in my life where I really need prayer and help. I love to bring good news to people and love to make people smile, so when it comes down to saying something that I know is not going to make them smile, everything in me fights it.

I have learned that making people smile is good. But helping people to grow and become all that God wants them to be is better!

I can assure you that there will be times when we all may have to say or do something we are not comfortable with. Remember this verse and hold it dear to your heart when that time comes, for this is a promise.

God will deliver you!!

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-7-12

(Exo 4:15 NKJV)  “Now you shall speak to him and put the words in his mouth. And I will be with your mouth and with his mouth, and I will teach you what you shall do.

When God spoke to Moses and told him what He needed him to do, Moses hesitated and told God He had the wrong man for the job.

Despite His anger against Moses, God made a way for Moses to carry through and get the job done, using his brother Aaron.

Most importantly, though, God taught Moses what he needed to do.

As we let God lead us, if we’re open and we listen to Him, He will teach us what to do and how to do it. We don’t need to fear. We just need to trust!

So listen for God’s voice, heed what He tells you and then trust Him to tell you how to do it.

With God in control, we can’t go wrong.
