Category: Standing Strong in God

Bible Verse of The Day – 11-14-18

Romans 8:25 (NKJV) 25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.

One of the hardest things to do is to persevere when we are in a battle. Most times we are already tired and weary. All we want to do is crash somewhere, let someone else take over, close our eyes and go to sleep.

How many of us know that feeling? Just let me sleep it off, and when I wake up maybe it will be gone.

If we want to put this battle behind us, we must win. It’s not time to lay down and rest or take a break. It’s time to stand and keep on standing until we get our answer, our breakthrough.

Maybe we are in a situation today that has us feeling like we can’t think straight. Our mind is all worn out and our body is feeling beaten down from the emotional stress of it all. God wants to personally show us how we can go further than we’ve ever thought of going.

He wants to renew and refresh us with His strength, His Might and His power. He wants to keep us going. We can’t lay down yet; not until we reach that point where we have the peace of God in us, speaking loud and clear, saying, “It’s over”.

Receive His strength today to keep on going.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come to you in the name of your precious Son, Jesus Christ, and we ask Lord for your strength to keep us going. Give us the strength we need today to move forward and to press in and persevere. We want to finish this battle and be done with it once and for all. We want to put it behind us and look at the better days that You have, not far away. We know that You are faithful and diligent in all Your ways. It is us, Father, that is weak. Please forgive us for allowing our weakness to take over and almost cause us to give up. We know now that we need You to help us to persevere today. Please strengthen us. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-13-13

(Proverbs 3:5-6 NKJV)  Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; {6} In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

Trust in the Lord. These are words that we are learning to live by more and more each day.

We have been going through some trials the past several months and they are causing us to really check ourselves and see where our trust really lies.

We have been in a period of waiting that seems endless. If we were not trusting in God, we just might lose all hope.

But I stand today and proclaim boldly that we will trust in the Lord with all of our heart, and we will seek His understanding in all things.

We will shout from the mountaintops and from the valley, “God, we praise you in the midst of this storm and we worship you no matter what comes our way”.

Amen!

Bible Verse of The Day – 9-24-12

(Mat 10:36 NKJV)  “and ‘a man’s enemies will be those of his own household.’

Are we going through family turmoil in our homes, within our church family, or in our work place, etc.? Well, don’t let it take you by surprise. God’s Word shows us that we don’t have to look very far to find enemies; they can be right in our own backyard.

It’s very hard when we have family members, close friends or co-workers that cause trouble for us, simply because they don’t agree with who we have chosen to be in Christ or how we choose to handle things.

It’s possible they are just plain jealous because good things are happening in our lives and they can’t handle it. But we can’t let them stop us from doing what is right and being all that Christ calls us to be.

We have to be alert, stand our ground, be who God has called us to be, and keep moving forward with love!!

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-17-12

(Heb 12:1 NKJV)  Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us…

Are you struggling with keeping your faith strong? Are the things of this world pulling on you and trying with all their might to break down your trust in God?

The race that we run is not a short one. It is life-long. This race lasts for all the days of our lives and we need to run it well.

The battles can make us weary, feeling like we can’t make it through another day of trials. But hold fast to your faith and your hope.

God has made a way for us to persevere and have victory, if we don’t faint and we don’t give up!

If you’re feeling weak, press into God. Immerse yourself in His word and pull your strength from Him. His resources are unlimited and His well will never run dry.

In the name of Jesus, don’t let your life be another example of a spiritual life sucked dry by the cares, worries and sins of this world.

Make a commitment to grow and strengthen your faith each day, not to let it shrink and fade.

People of God, stand strong!
