Bible Verse of The Day – 8-17-12

(Luke 23:35 NKJV)  And the people stood looking on. But even the rulers with them sneered, saying, “He saved others; let Him save Himself if He is the Christ, the chosen of God.”

Jesus came to save us from our sins. The rulers just didn’t get it and some people today just don’t get it.

It’s a simple message; so simple that even children can understand it. Jesus didn’t need to save Himself! Jesus was God in the flesh. It was His purpose all along to do what He did.

When they saw Christ on that cross they thought He was helpless and without power. They thought they had Him. But little did they know that what He was doing for the world, no other person could have done.

It took His righteous blood to wash away our sins. He did it for you and I, that we may have everlasting life with Him.

What an Awesome God we serve… He is so worthy of our praise today!

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-30-12

(John 19:30 NKJV)  So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.

It is finished.” These are the most significant words spoken in the history of man.

These 3 words represent the beginning of salvation for man and the end of the power of death.

Jesus came and walked this earth for this reason… to give His life for us. It is this that gives us salvation. It is this that gives us freedom from sin. It is this that makes us righteous. We just need to claim it.

You have been bought with a price. There’s nothing that you can do to add to it. Jesus paid it all and made it possible for us to stand before God, spotless and clean. We just need to ask for it.

Have you accepted the offer of salvation that Jesus made for you on that terrible cross? If not, you need to! It’s not difficult and you don’t need to feel like you have to clean yourself up before you can come to God.

Come to Him first and then let Him help you with the cleanup process afterward. It’s a very simple thing to do. Just ask Him! If you have never accepted God’s offer of salvation and forgiveness for your sins, just say this prayer or something similar in your own words:

God, I know I am a sinner. Please forgive me for my sins and make me a new creation. I believe Jesus died for me. I want to live my life for you. Amen.

That’s all there is to it! If you prayed that prayer for the first time, congratulations! You are now a child of God! Your sins have been forgiven and you are starting with a clean slate.

If you have just been saved, be sure to write to us and tell us. We want to share in your joy!

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-28-12

(Rev 3:20 NKJV)  “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

Is Jesus knocking on your door today? Is He asking you to let Him in?

Why would we not let Him come in? Do we feel that we are not clean enough? Listen and hear what God is saying.

We don’t have to be clean. When we let Him in, He will clean us up. We don’t have to wait until we are doing everything just right. When we let Him in He will help us do things right. We don’t have to try to act righteous. As we let Him in, He will cleanse us and through His blood He will make us righteous.

We won’t want to do the same things over again that bring us pain or suffering. We won’t want to live the way we were living. We will feel ourselves wanting to get away from the things that are wrong and run to the things that are right and are good for us!!  Our lives and habits will change when Christ comes in!

Is Jesus knocking? Open the door and let Him in! It’s the best choice we could ever make in this life!!

Be blessed and write to us and let us know if you opened the door to Jesus today! We want to rejoice with you and pray with you for we know that He has a wonderful life for you!!

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-21-12

(John 14:6 NKJV)  Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

This is one of my favorite verses. It sums up the entire foundation of our salvation in a way that nobody can sensibly dispute it. Period.

Jesus is the way, He is the truth and He is the life. There is nothing found outside of Him. He offers us eternal life through simple faith.

There is no need for a 12-step program, a complicated set of rituals or anything else that man might be able to conjure up in order to make it difficult or to try to make it fit into a logical mold for our better understanding.

If anyone denies Jesus or His deity, they deny life itself. God has made it simple for us to have life in Him. Sadly, we have complicated it and made it seem difficult.

If anyone ever tries to tell you that salvation requires anything more than faith in the messiah, Jesus Christ, walk away from them and never listen to a single word they speak, because their words are not of God.

Bible Verse of The Day – 4-9-12

(Mat 18:11 NKJV)  “For the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost.

I’d like to speak to anyone out there today who is searching, seeking, trying to find the truth.

Jesus, the Christ, the Messiah, came to save that those who are lost. He came to this earth as a man, feeling everything we feel, experiencing pain, heartbreak, betrayal, and every other emotion we experience in our lives.

He was tempted just as we are, yet He never gave in. He had the opportunity to sin each and every day, yet He chose to remain sinless.

He had the opportunity to turn His back on the mission set before Him, and walk away from the death that would pay the price for our sins, but yet He chose to love us so much, and be obedient in His purpose, even to die on a cross for each and every one of us.

If you’ve been seeking the truth, look no further. Jesus is the truth. He took my sin and yours upon His own body and washed them away with His blood.

And then on top of all that, He rose from the grave and defeated death, hell and the grave so that we can all be assured of eternal life. All we need to do is reach out and take it.

Reach out to Him right now. Accept His offer of salvation… everlasting life, in exchange for taking your past life and your past sins away from you. It’s not difficult to do and there is no sin too big for Him to take away. Just do it, right now.

Accept His offer of grace and mercy and then write to us to tell us. We want to share in your new life and your excitement!

Bible Verse of The Day – 4-5-12

(Acts 2:28 NKJV)  You have made known to me the ways of life; You will make me full of joy in Your presence.’

God has made known to us the ways of life. He has poured Himself out as a sacrifice for us, through His only Son, Jesus Christ.

I’d like each and every one of us to meditate on that, even for just a moment. This is life-changing stuff!

The God of heaven and earth, the Creator of all we see, the Giver of life, came down from heaven in the form of a man and walked among us to make known the ways of life, so that we might have true life.

This is truly life-changing in every aspect of those words. We have been bought with a price. And as I have said before, it was a very high price that was paid for each and every one of us.

I know these might seem like somber words and at first they might not seem very cheerful or encouraging, but the exact opposite is true! These words are demonstrating how much God loved us and how He gave us new life!

As you walk through this day, do so knowing that God loved you enough to make known to you the ways of life.

Your Daily Bible Verse – 2-17-12

(Gal 6:15 NKJV)  For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but a new creation.

The salvation offered through Jesus Christ transcends all lines of race, nationality, sex, skin color, financial status, height, weight, intelligence, talent, and anything else we can think of that people are usually judged by.

It doesn’t matter what family we’re born into, what country we live in or even what religion we’re born into.

Through Jesus, God has bridged all of these gaps and broken down all of the barriers that man has erected, breaking them down forever through the death and resurrection of Jesus, offering us salvation for eternity.

We are new creations in Christ, shedding our old selves and leaving our dead life of sin behind, in the name of Jesus.

Your Daily Bible Verse – 2-14-12

(Rev 3:15-16 NKJV)  “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. {16} “So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.

When Jesus spoke these words, He was referring to the church at Laodicea. These words are still relevant for us today, however.

Being lukewarm or a “middle-of-the-road” believer is a very dangerous place to be. Jesus wants our all or nothing at all.

This isn’t a message that many want to hear, but it needs to be shared and taught. Being lukewarm is the easy way to follow Christ, or so it would seem. But the cost of being lukewarm is much higher than giving Him everything!

If we choose to live a lukewarm or mediocre life with Christ, we risk having Him spit us out.

Where are we today? Are we giving Jesus our all, or does He only get a little piece of us, when it’s convenient for us?

For our own sake, we need to give this some very serious consideration and then take action if we find ourselves lacking in our walk with Him.

Your Daily Bible Verse – 1-31-12

(Gal 6:14 NKJV)  But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.

Boasting in ourselves or our accomplishments is never a good thing. This can lead to pride and pride can lead to destruction.

But we can boast in our God and the things that He has done in our lives through Jesus!

We absolutely love sharing testimonies with people about what God has done in our lives. Sometimes we have to force ourselves to stop talking about Him and His goodness! Otherwise, we’ll just keep talking!

But today, it’s your turn. We want to hear from you, our faithful readers, about how God has used the daily Bible verses to help you. We want to know about how God has healed you, delivered you, saved you, drawn you closer to Him, restored your marriage, or anything else He has done through the Words that have been shared with you each day.

And don’t get us wrong, this is not for our glory, but for His. It’s good to share what God has done and we love to hear it too. So, if you can, please take a few minutes and send us a note, to share about how God has been at work in your life, though the Bible verses.

Thank you so much. We appreciate each and every one of you!

Your Daily Bible Verse – 1-13-12

(John 19:30 NKJV)  So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.

It is finished. These are the most crucial words spoken in human history.

These three words tell us that the work Jesus had come to do was complete. There was nothing further needed to secure our salvation.

His death on the cross paid the price for our sins 100%. Not 50%, 75% or even 99.9%. His shed blood, offered up for us, paid the price in full.

Anyone who tries to tell us that there is anything further needed to secure our salvation is diminishing the importance of His sacrifice and implying that what Jesus did was not good enough.

These are very serious words to consider. Don’t ever let anyone, anywhere, tell you that Jesus’ death wasn’t enough. If Jesus said it is finished, then it is finished.

Your Daily Bible Verse – 1-11-12

(Acts 16:29-32 NKJV)  Then he called for a light, ran in, and fell down trembling before Paul and Silas. {30} And he brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” {31} So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.” {32} Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house.

Today I want to bring your attention to something that is a point of debate for many people. Hopefully this will bring some clarity to an area where some people get very confused.

What must I do to be saved? This was the question asked of Paul & Silas while they were in prison for preaching the gospel of Jesus. A prison worker came to Paul & Silas, trembling, asking them with all sincerity what he must do to be saved.

Paul didn’t go into a long dissertation or a deep theological message. It wasn’t necessary. He told this man to do one simple thing: believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. And that is all that is required.

We are not required to be baptized to be saved. We are not required to join a church or a denomination to be saved. We aren’t required to walk down an aisle or respond to an altar call to be saved. We simply need to reach a point within ourselves where we believe on a personal level and accept the sacrifice that Jesus made for us, on a personal level. That’s it.

Baptism is good, and we should all be baptized. But it is not a requirement for salvation. Responding to an altar call is good, if that’s where God happens to reach us, but it’s not required for salvation. Many things are good, but they are not required for our salvation. Simply believe on a personal level, and you will be saved.

Do you believe?
