Bible Verse of The Day – 9-21-18

Acts 16:25-26 (NKJV) 25 But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. 26 Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed.

Where does prayer and singing come from when all is going wrong? It comes from His Spirit that lives, moves and breathes in us. It rises above our circumstances and our situations.

When we are in a predicament and we can’t see the light, what direction to go or the reason why we are even going through it, we need to stop trying to figure it out. That is the biggest distraction the devil will use on us.

Put it aside and start praying and singing to God. Start thanking Him that He is going to see us through it.

Whatever is going on right now, He knew it was going to take place before it even happened. He has a plan and we need to let Him work it out.

Can we find a song within us? Can we stop trying to figure things out long enough to let it rise up? Can we push back the voices and the lies that try to cause us to go deeper and deeper into depression or wear ourselves out with anxiety?

Paul and Silas had just been beaten with rods and thrown into prison. For what? They had done nothing wrong, (Acts 16:16-24).

They couldn’t spend time thinking and pondering about it. They had to go beyond what their bodies were feeling, and what they were thinking, in order to let the Spirit of God turn it around for them.

They let Him continue to work in them even through their physical pain and tattered emotions. By doing so, not only did God set them free, but He brought deliverance to others that were around them.

The prison guard and his whole household were saved!

How we act in a time of crisis, hardship or mistreatment is crucial. As believers, we must be strong in God and let Him guide us and show us the proper way to carry ourselves, despite the unfair treatment we may be enduring.

We don’t know the victory that will come from it, not only for us, but others that are involved.

Lift up our voices today. Pray and sing. It will break those chains supernaturally and open the doors to freedom!! Amen.

Psalm 121:1-2 (NKJV) 1 I will lift up my eyes to the hills— From whence comes my help? 2 My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-8-18

Numbers 23:19 (NKJV) 19 “God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?

We want to encourage you all today. God is God!

He is not a man that should say one thing and do something else. He sticks to His promises. He tells us what He would like to do for us. And then as we trust Him, He does it the way it needs to be done.

Look at Abraham and Sarah. They were very old. She was well past her child-bearing days. But, God said He would give them a child, and He gave them Isaac. He is faithful in what He says He will do.

Genesis 17:21 (NKJV) 21 But My covenant I will establish with Isaac, whom Sarah shall bear to you at this set time next year.”

As God’s children, we have to get used to things being done differently than how we might expect them to be done. But, don’t get scared that they will never come or that it won’t happen.

Don’t get negative or disappointed when we don’t see anything changing right away. Be strong, stand firm, keep trusting and thanking Him just the same. He takes what He says serious.

Matthew 7:9 (NKJV) 9 Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone?

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-5-18

Acts 2:21 (NKJV) 21 And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the Lord Shall be saved.’

God is speaking to us today. He is saying to call on His name.

If we are lost and in need of salvation, call on His name.

If we need healing or deliverance, call on His name.

If we are hungry and we need food, finances, or a bed to rest our weary heads, call on Him.

If we are in need of anything personal, call on the name of the Lord today.

He will save us.

We are all at different places in our journey. But if we call on the name of the Lord, He will meet us where we are at. He is a very personal God.

We are blessed to have such a loving, but yet firm and caring Father, who knows our every need and sent to us the answer to every situation that we will go through.

Call on His name today, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! His is faithful! Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 2-9-18

Psalm 57:2 (NKJV) 2 I will cry out to God Most High, To God who performs all things for me.

Oh Lord, do you hear me down here? This is what we’d like to ask Him sometimes. We usually don’t, though, because we are afraid to address Him in such a manner.

But understand, God would want us to be respectfully honest with Him. He already knows what we are thinking and feeling.

One may say, “well, if He already knows, then why do we have to say it?”.

Because, it’s not for His benefit, but for ours. When we say something, or confess it with our mouth, what happens? We hear ourselves speak.

It’s important to hear what we are asking for, just as it’s important to hear what God is saying back to us. If we are a believer, a child of God, He absolutely hears our cry in that moment.

One day in the not-too-distant past, I was at the hospital. I kept receiving bad news regarding a family member. It was one thing after another. It was hitting me so hard, all at once. I had gotten to the point where all I could say was, “Oh Lord.”

But even in those two small words, God heard me. He knew what I needed and He answered my cry.

Don’t stop crying out to Him. Keep talking to Him. If we have questions, we need to ask Him. He is listening.

Don’t ever give up on Him answering us back. He is faithful, He is kind and compassionate. And He performs all things for us!

Bible Verse of The Day – 2-5-18

Mark 11:24 (NKJV) 24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

One of the things people have the hardest time with is believing that God would actually want to help us in our situation. Maybe that’s why we try so hard to do things on our own and get stuck in a rut, because to think someone wants to helps us is almost unheard of these days.

People seem to all have their own problems, their own issues and their own life to live. This is true, but one of the things we need to remember is that God is God, a loving and very caring Father. He enjoys and truly wants to help us.

He will bring certain people around to be just that; a helping hand in time of need. It could just be a word of encouragement, or a word of wisdom. It could be a hot cooked meal, or a card containing a financial blessing.

We don’t know what God will do, or how He will do it. But we must believe for His help to come to us in the right way and the right time.

Believe God today. He wants to be the One to carry us through. Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 12-20-16

Deuteronomy 7:9 (NKJV) 9 “Therefore know that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments;

Are we wondering, God where are you? Are we feeling tired and lost today? Do we need a helping hand? This verse reassures us that God is a FAITHFUL God to those that love Him and keep His commandments.

We need to hold onto our faith, keep on track, and not take our eyes off Him.

Looking too far ahead when we are in a crisis will cause us to want to do two things; To faint, or to run from our problem.

The best way to go through a trial is to know that it’s OK to take one day at a time. We don’t need to try to figure it all out. We may not even know how to figure it out. Because of what we are going through our emotions will be all over the place.

Some days we will feel sad. Some days mad and some days tired before we even get out of bed. These are normal feelings that the flesh goes through.

We need to know that even though our situation may seem impossible to fix, there is Someone Greater than us who can turn it around.

It’s OK to be hanging by a thread, if we know Him. It’s OK if we are down in the valley, or flat on our backs, if we know Him. It’s OK if everything around us seems like it is falling apart, if we know HIM! Why?

Because through Him, all thing are possible!!

Matthew 19:26 (NKJV) 26 But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Look at this season as a great opportunity to draw even closer to our Creator.  A time to lean on Him and watch Him move mountains for us.

Focus on Him, not our crisis.

Bible Verse of The Day – 9-5-16

Psalm 119:64 (NKJV) 64 The earth, O Lord, is full of Your mercy; Teach me Your statutes.

God’s word is full of real life lessons. His statutes are written throughout it.

We took our lunch break down by the ocean yesterday. While enjoying the beautiful ocean, we were reminded of how God split the sea open for Moses and the Israelites so they could cross over when they came under attack by the Egyptian army.

Wow! What a lesson of deliverance.

Can you imagine seeing an army of people coming after you from a distance and all you see in front of you is the deep blue sea? I would have been so scared, not knowing what to do, with fear and anxiety rushing through my mind. What do we do GOD? We’re stuck. Our backs are up against a wall!

But Moses knew His God and cried out to Him and God told Him what to do.

Exodus 14:21 (NKJV) 21 Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea into dry land, and the waters were divided.

They were able to cross over to the other side on dry land!

Boy, they surely got to see a miraculous thing done right before their eyes. It’s just so incredible. How could anyone ever be the same after seeing that? After seeing God’s hand move in such a powerful way.

This is a lesson for us. God is showing us that He was there for Moses. He was there for the Israelites. And He will be there for us as well! He is faithful.

Are we feeling captured, with nowhere to turn, with the enemy breathing down our necks?

Follow His statutes. Hear what He is saying to us. Take His words and live them out. Make it personal. Claim His promises over your life today.

He will deliver us! His mercy and love for us is the same as it was for them.

Bible Verse of The Day – 4-1-16

Mark 13:31 (NKJV) 31 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.

God is powerful beyond what we can comprehend.

No matter what takes place in the future, His words will never pass away. So what does that mean?

It means that what He has spoken is true and steadfast. It can be counted on. It can be relied on to remain truth for eternity.

God isn’t in the business of saying things just to get attention or to please a crowd.

His words established the world and everything we see. His words created the universe. And His words set everything about life into motion.

There is nothing that can overcome His words. There is no deceit in them. There are no lies to be found in them.

So as the world seems to be getting less and less stable, take comfort in knowing that no matter what we see happening around us, God and His words will never, ever let us down.

Bible Verse of The Day – 1-1-16

Hebrews 13:8 (NKJV) 8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

God is the same, yesterday, today and forever. He doesn’t change. He is constant and steady.

Malachi 3:6 (NKJV) 6 “For I am the Lord, I do not change…

As we begin the year 2016, the world will put their hopes in a new year. Somehow, over the centuries, we have been convinced that January 1 represents great new opportunities to excel, to prosper, to start fresh in so many areas.

But God says His mercies are new every morning!

Lamentations 3:22-23 (NKJV) 22 Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. 23 They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.

So we don’t need to wait for or rely on a new year for new opportunities and new reasons to rejoice!

God isn’t affected or contained by a date on a calendar. For Him, a day is like 1000 years and 1000 years is like a day.

So, let’s not put our hopes in a number, 2016, that comes from a manmade calendar, but in the One who created the day and the night, and all that we see!

And let’s give Him thanks as we rise each morning. And ask Him what opportunities He will put in front of us each and every day, to bring glory and honor to His name.

He is our ROCK and our salvation!

We are promised while we are still here on earth that we can cry out to our Lord and He will hear our voice, deliver us, hold us, heal us, and lift us up.

What an AWESOME God, a beautiful Son, Jesus Christ and wonderful Helper, the Holy Spirit!! Amen.
