Proverbs 14:22 (NKJV) 22 Do they not go astray who devise evil? But mercy and truth belong to those who devise good.
Our walk with God is precious. And for some it is very fragile.
Some people are walking a fine line between faith and falling away.
This is why it is critical that we not flirt with sin, allowing ourselves to be repeatedly tempted with things that we know are dangerous to us and our walk with God.
The world is constantly dangling the proverbial carrot in front of us, hoping we will follow it just long enough to take one bite.
And with that one bite, our life can change in seconds, sending us into a tailspin that can lead to destruction of many different kinds.
Our relationship with God is worth more than any momentary pleasure. It is better than any earthly treasure or moment of passion that we may think we need.
Sin is a destroyer. It will tear us to pieces in a moment, leaving behind ruins that may take a lifetime to pick up and try to repair.
Let us steer clear of those who devise evil and wish to propagate it onto others.
Pray for them. Give them over to God. But we can never allow their influence to poison our life and destroy our walk with the One who breathed life into us and gave us the heartbeat that sustains us.
