Psalm 89:8 (NKJV) 8 O Lord God of hosts, Who is mighty like You, O Lord? Your faithfulness also surrounds You.
Have we ever felt that, even as a believer, we have no control over most things?
We think we have it all together. But if certain things were to fall through right now, we may not handle it too well.
And we would be left crying out for help just like everyone else.
We are not alone if we feel like that at times. It shows us that we are human.
Some people will say, “just have faith and it will work out”.
There is truth in that. However, there are steps that we may be required to take. Even in that it takes time to work it out.
And during that time, however long it takes, we will go through a lot of emotions; some ups and some downs. And there may be moments of just wanting to give up.
The most important thing to remember isn’t the lack of control we have over most things, but that we have the MIGHTY One, our Lord, to bring us through whatever we face.
His faithfulness surrounds us! Amen.
Jeremiah 1:19 (NKJV) 19 They will fight against you, But they shall not prevail against you. For I am with you,” says the Lord, “to deliver you.”

I have enjoyed this ministry for over 8 years and the Sept. 23 comment from you was the first one that really hit me the wrong way and I had to mention it.
As Christians we are not in control of anything! We surrender control. If I thought I had 1 ounce of control, I would not be a Christisn today.
I depend on God for everything. I have had comments made to me, “Oh we would never lose our business, my husband works very hard”
When we lost our business.
Obbioudly not from a Christian. But we lost a business due to economic times and it did save our marriage because I never saw my husband. We hsve had 3 suicide attempts eith our children through mental illness. Just a lot of satan attacks! I believe it was just becsuse I had given control to God and got attacked for many years. But I am sorry that that was the way that Psalm read to you. For we all need to surrender! If we want to seek God’s face. Thank you for all you both do. I do love this ministry.

Hello Barb, thank you for your comment. You may have misunderstood what we were saying, since we were actually saying that we need to relinquish control to God. He should be the one in control. As part of that process, we may sometimes need to take certain steps that he leads us to take. Giving God control doesn’t mean that we just sit back and “let the chips fall where they may”. We are responsible for obeying God, and that means doing what He tells us to do. We apologize if anything in the devotional was worded in a way that led you to believe otherwise 🙏
