Isaiah 43:18-19 (NKJV) 18 “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. 19 Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.
Are we a people who like to live in the past?
Are we constantly talking about it and dreaming of being there again, wishing things could have stayed the same? Are our minds always reminiscing about how much we loved the way things used to be?
Memories can be nice, but it’s important that they are only memories and not something that we get caught up in.
Those things were dear to us, but they are no longer tangible today. They are gone.
We need to let go, bury them and move forward into the new thing that God has for us.
Don’t be afraid. We won’t forget what once was.
Instead, we will add to our story as we allow God to pave the way and make provision for what’s ahead for us.
We have to let the past be the past. We cannot revive it.
Take a step into the new thing God has for us and see how refreshing and restoring it can be!!
