1 Chronicles 16:34 (NKJV) 34 Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.
There is so much to be thankful for, even in the midst of a storm, a change or uncertainties.
God is always right there to show us that He is aware of the situation.
Fear and anxiety can distract us from seeing His hand moving. If we are in the middle of it and can’t see what is happening, it’s OK. Look to Him. God can see it all. Follow Him, and He will lead us out. He is our strength and shield.
Many times, while going through this kind of dilemma we will miss the good stuff because we’re too focused on the bad. Let’s set out to see all that God wants to show us. Let our hearts trust Him.
Start off by thanking Him today. Thank Him for the things that we can see. For instance, a hot shower. These kinds of things are always so overlooked. But if we didn’t have water, we sure would be in a mess. How about that breakfast that filled our tummies, and a hot cup of tea, or coffee?
We may not even realize this with everything taking place, but what about that spouse, that friend, or that child that gave us a hug today and showed us how much they love us or appreciate us?
And when we go to leave our home, we get into a vehicle that starts up, that has fuel to take us where we need to go. The list could go on and on.
So much to be thankful for today!
One of the things that we are grateful for today is the fact that you all are praying for us, supporting and standing with us, even in a time like this, and even checking in to make sure we are alright. That means the world to us. Thank you so much. You really are God-sent.
He is so good. Don’t think for a moment He doesn’t have our best interest at heart. We are safe with Him.
Psalm 28:7 (NKJV) 7 The Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, And with my song I will praise Him.
Sing to Him today!

Thanks for your daily devotionals. This one really spoke to me as I am working overnights at Brigham Women’s Hospital in Boston in the COVID units assisting the nurses who are the true heroes with all the patient care they provide. They provide the majority of direct care everyday. I was originally retrained from a medical assistant to do actual patient care 4 weeks ago. However, policy changed and we MAs can not actually go in the rooms. We don and dof PPE, get supplies and give them to the RNs, so the nurses don’t have to keep changing PPE constantly. Some nights I wonder why the Lord redeployed me downtown to the hospital, but over and over again Christ shows me I am to be a helper. More importantly, especially when in the ICU, to be a prayer warrior for the ICU patients. They are all on ventilators, all by themselves (no visitors allowed) only the nurses, respiratory/xray techs, cleaning crew, phlebotomist and doctors are allowed in the rooms. When they take a turn for the worst and are dying, all I can do is pray for not only the patient and their absent family members, but also for all involved who are trying so hard to keep them alive at the time. Prayers are powerful and the passings are always peaceful. I wish I could do more, but it also shows me how important it is for all of us to pray at this time. I also thank you for the daily devotionals as I have shared them with several nurses and it lifts them up at this time.
You’re very welcome, MJ. God is faithful to give us what we need, when we need it. And we give Him all of the glory and honor for it!
