Bible Verse of The Day – 10-31-24

Acts 4:12 (NKJV) 12 Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

Jesus Christ is the only Way to God! He is our Savior.

God made a way for us to have life after we leave this earth. This happens by us putting our faith and trust in His Son, Jesus Christ, while we are here on earth.

As a child, my parents made us children go to Sunday School; all 9 of us.

But, that isn’t what saved me.

Learning those lesson was good for me. But what saved me was when I walked to the front of the church and asked the Pastor to pray with me, as I believed that Jesus Christ was my Lord and Savior. I wanted to be forgiven for my sins and live for Him.

Jesus is who saved me!

I was a child, and for sure didn’t know all the ins and outs at that time. But I knew in that little heart of mine that I wanted Jesus Christ!

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know the truth. It takes listening to our heart no matter our age, as the Holy Spirit convicts us of our sinful condition and draws us to Him.

John 14:6 (NKJV) 6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Is He speaking to you today right where you are?

Cry out to Him and repent of your sins. Ask Him to forgive you and be your Savior. He is waiting for you!

Please reply to this message and write to us and let us know if you did pray today to be saved. We want to keep you in our prayers as well.

God is faithful! Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 10-30-24

Psalm 51:12 (LSB) 12 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation And sustain me with a willing spirit.

Th entire 51st Psalm is a prayer of David after being confronted by the prophet, Nathan.

Nathan had reprimanded David for his affair with Bathsheba and the subsequent murder of her husband, Uriah.

This prayer in its entirety is an incredible expose` on the topic of sin, repentance, God’s mercy, and the forgiveness of God.

As David was confronted with the enormity and the moral gravity of his sins, he immediately repented before God and cried out for His mercy.

He knew his sins were great. But he also understood that God’s mercy was bigger.

His statement above is interesting.

He asked God to restore the joy of His salvation.

His heart had failed in making the decision to commit adultery with Bathsheba. But it had failed exponentially more with his decision to try to cover up that sin with the the murder of her husband.

One wrong choice was leading to many other wrong choices. And they were beginning to pile up.

The weight of his guilt was crushing him. And now he was asking God to restore his joy; the joy that comes with God’s mercy and redemption.

This is what sets David apart from so many others. He sincerely wanted to do right. He wanted to please God and serve Him wholly.

So, when he dropped the ball and did something wrong, he did not run from it or try to pass the blame onto someone else.

He stood up like a mature man of God and did what was required to make things right, even knowing that the repercussions might be painful and hard to bear.

May we all do likewise, willingly admitting our failures, and laying them before God in repentance, seeking His mercy and correction.

And then walking out what He shows us to do, that we would not be separated from Him by our sins.

Bible Verse of The Day – 10-29-24

Acts 5:1 (NKJV) 1 But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession.

This event took place in the early days of the church, when the hearts of the people were united, and they gave everything, all their possessions, for the needs of others.

When Ananias sold his possession, he gave some of the money from the sale to the church, but led the disciples to believe he was giving the entire sum.

He willfully mis-led them.

But Peter, being led by the Holy Spirit, questioned him about it.

Acts 5:3 (NKJV) 3 But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself?

He pointed it out. And look at what he called it; lying to the Holy Spirit.

Keeping part of the money wasn’t the problem. It was his deceit, acting as though he was giving it all.

You see, it’s important to stay straight with God.

Yes, we are imperfect. And we sometimes do things that are contrary to what we know is right.

But, trying to act as though we are doing the right things when we are not is worse than just going to God, admitting our guilt and asking for His help with getting it right.

We can’t pretend with God.

Maybe someone today is faking it, and everyone around us thinks we are doing it right. But deep down we know there are some things we need to confess, own up to, repent for, and get on track with.

People may think we are fine. But God knows the truth. He sees our heart.

Are we lying to Him? Will we continue to fake it and keep up with the deceit?

It’s not too late.

Today is our day to admit what it is that we have been hiding, bring it to the surface and make things right with God.

Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 10-28-24

Psalm 121:1-2 (LSB) 121 I will lift up my eyes to the mountains; From where shall my help come? 2 My help comes from Yahweh, Who made heaven and earth.

Trials. Tough times. Unexpected crises. Sudden tragedies. Famines. Sadness. Loss. Mourning.

These are things we all face in our lifetimes. Jesus told us this would be so.

John 16:33 (NKJV) 33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

So, the question is not whether we will face them. The question is how we will walk through them.

Where will we find our solace? Where will we find our peace. Where will we find our hope?

Where will we find our help?

There is only one true Source of help; God, our Creator, and our Redeemer.

Others may help us in some way. But if we look only to people, we are missing what God offers us.

He never sleeps or slumbers.

He never changes.

He never leaves us or forsakes us.

He gives us peace in the storm.

Let us put our trust in Him no matter what life throws at us.

We will not regret it.

Bible Verse of The Day – 10-26-24

Acts 4:16 (NKJV) 16 saying, “What shall we do to these men? For, indeed, that a notable miracle has been done through them is evident to all who dwell in Jerusalem, and we cannot deny it.

In the verse above, the Jewish leaders admitted they could not deny what had taken place. A lame man had been healed and was now able to walk, after he had been seen in this condition his entire life.

Despite this, they still wanted to stop Peter and John from teaching and sharing the truth about Jesus.

Acts 4:18 (NKJV) 18 So they called them and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.

A hard and rebellious heart will keep us from believing the truth, even if it is right in front of our face.

Some people will go to great lengths to say or do the opposite of what they know to be true, just to be able to keep things going the way they want them to go.

And they will deal harshly with those who refuse to agree with them.

Although these men could not deny what had taken place with this healing, they chose not to accept it for what it was!

Let us join in prayer for those who have hardened their hearts against receiving the truth. That they will hear God’s voice and accept His word, allowing Him to soften them so that they can hear, receive and walk in that truth!

God will touch them no matter how hard they have become. But they must be willing to accept what it is He is showing them.

Hebrews 3:15 (NKJV) 15 while it is said: “Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.”

Bible Verse of The Day – 10-25-24

1 Chronicles 28:9 (NLT) 9 “And Solomon, my son, learn to know the God of your ancestors intimately. Worship and serve him with your whole heart and a willing mind. For the Lord sees every heart and knows every plan and thought. If you seek him, you will find him. But if you forsake him, he will reject you forever.

As David spoke with his son, Solomon, he was preparing him for his life ahead and his reign as king over God’s chosen people.

He told Solomon to “learn to know the God of your ancestors intimately.”

David was implying that Solomon must do more than just know who God is. He should become acquainted with Him, understand Him, and cherish Him, developing a relationship that goes beyond rituals and traditions.

David then gave Solomon some of the most important words of wisdom he could when he told Solomon to worship and serve God with his whole heart, and a willing mind.

The heart (the manner and attitude) with which we serve God speaks volumes about the strength and the nature of that relationship.

And this is why God places such importance on the condition of our heart.

Because out of it flow the springs of life.

Proverbs 4:23 (LSB) 23 Guard your heart with all diligence, For from it flow the springs of life.

What is in our hearts comes out. It manifests itself in the things we say and the actions we take. It proves who we are.

Allowing God to guard our heart creates a place within us that God can nurture and develop, shaping and molding us in the way He can best use us, and which benefits us as well.

God sees our heart, and He knows every thought and every plan.

Let us do as David counseled Solomon; learn to know God intimately, worshiping and serving Him with our whole heart and a willing mind, that we may seek Him and find Him.

Bible Verse of The Day – 10-24-24

Job 42:10 (NKJV) 10 And the Lord restored Job’s losses when he prayed for his friends. Indeed the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.

Job was a righteous man who feared God. He was blameless and upright, and he shunned evil.

Despite this, Job went through some very big hardships.

He lost nearly everything he had in a very short period of time.

In fact, the only thing he didn’t lose was his wife.

Job lost all his material possessions and all his servants in a raid.

He lost all his children in a windstorm. And then his health was attacked, and Job suffered great physical agony.

This all took place within a single day.

How devasting this was for Job.

How could anyone go through so much and remain standing?

In all of Job’s suffering, he never once mocked God, despite his wife suggesting that he do so.

Job 2:9 (NKJV) 9 Then his wife said to him, “Do you still hold fast to your integrity? Curse God and die!”

When we are going through tough times and no one is standing with us, being close to God is extremely important.

Job’s faith and integrity were surely put to the test. But he stayed faithful and did not faint.

And in the end, God blessed Job even more by bringing restoration to him.

Job 42:12-13 (NKJV) 12 Now the Lord blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning; for he had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, one thousand yoke of oxen, and one thousand female donkeys. 13 He also had seven sons and three daughters.

We know that many people are suffering and have lost so much in these difficult times.

And we are praying for you; that as you remain faithful in trusting God, He will restore you and help you get back on your feet again. And that your latter days will be more than your beginning.

In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 10-23-24

John 17:15-18 (NKJV) 15 I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. 16 They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 17 Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth. 18 As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world.

As Jesus spent time with His disciples in the hours immediately before being handed over for His crucifixion, He took the steps necessary to help them understand what was going to happen to Him.

Part of that preparation was praying for them.

The words above are part of His prayer.

We can learn a lot from His words, so let us look at them more closely.

Jesus prayed that the Father would not take them out of the world, but that He would keep them from the evil one.

He knew that they would face horrendous attacks for their faith, and that the enemy would do everything possible with the hopes they would fail.

He was not asking God to prevent those attacks, but that He would anchor each of them securely in their faith so they would make it through victoriously and complete the work they were chosen to do.

It is interesting to note that He specifically stated that He was not asking that they be taken out of the world. For it was the world that they were called to go into and preach the gospel.

Jesus then asked the Father to sanctify them (set them apart) by His truth, stating also that His word is truth.

What does that mean?

Jesus is that Word and that Truth.

In John chapter 1, we read that Jesus is the Word. And that He was in the beginning with the Father, and through Him all things were made.

In Revelation 19:13, Jesus is called The Word of God

In John 14:6, Jesus stated that He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

He is the Word, and He is the Truth

So, when Jesus asked God to set them apart by His truth, He was referring to Himself!

He alone could set the disciples apart from the world even as He sent them into the world.

Knowing this, we see that Jesus is central to everything; even the very sanctification of His bride, including you and me.

Through Jesus Christ, we are redeemed and set apart. Amen

Bible Verse of The Day – 10-22-24

1 Peter 1:24-25 (NKJV) 24 because “All flesh is as grass, And all the glory of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, And its flower falls away, 25 But the word of the Lord endures forever.” Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you.

Nothing stays the same or lasts forever.

It’s important that we acknowledge this and put our faith not in material things, people or places, but in the Lord Himself, Who endures forever.

We can spend our life trying to make a living, planning for the future, and having all sorts of ideas about what we are going to achieve in this life.

But at night, when we lay our head on that pillow, we still don’t know what tomorrow will bring.

Life is so unsure.

It’s not that we shouldn’t act responsibly every day and do what we know is right to do.

But we must know and understand that it is not meant for us to find our stability in those things.

That job can go away just as quick as it came. The money we have in our accounts, and worked so hard at for so long to save, can’t keep us from having life-threatening health issues.

The plans that we have made for our future may not ever come to pass for us. And then what?

It’s not wrong to have a plan or be responsible. But, if it is without God in the picture, without our Lord and Savior being head of it all, we really are in trouble.

It’s a very scary thing if we do not know the Lord, or if we choose not to put Him first in everything.

He came and gave everything to see us through this life, and to give us eternal life with Him after we pass from this world.

God’s word says we are destroyed, by what? By a lack of knowledge.

Hosea 4:6 (NKJV) 6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…

You see, it’s up to us to get the knowledge and understanding we need to know Him. And to be secure in Him, not the things of this world.

One day everything will wither away from us, but He will endure forever!

This is why our hope must be found in Him.

Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 10-21-24

Psalm 90:2 (LSB) 2 Before the mountains were born Or You brought forth the earth and the world, Even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God.

God is exponentially bigger than we can understand or comprehend.

He is infinite and unfathomable.

His wisdom and knowledge are more than can be contained in the earth.

His mercy cannot be understood or rationalized.

His thoughts are higher than what man can contain or process in our minds or our intellect.

Think about it.

He spoke the worlds into existence.

He formed man from the dust and breathed life into his nostrils.

He commanded the waters to divide, and they became the seas and the clouds

He separated the day from the night.

He created fish and all other water-dwelling creatures.

He gave those aquatic creatures a special anatomy to be able to extract oxygen from water and breathe it in without having to come to the surface to get air.

He gave certain goats the ability to climb vertical surfaces that defies human understanding.

He created sunshine, wind, rain, thunder, and lightning.

He designed rivers and streams to flow into the oceans.

He created tides that come in and go out at specific intervals of time.

He designed the earth to revolve around the sun, giving us night and day.

Seasons come and go right on cue because He made it this way.

So, what does all this mean for us?

It means that we serve a God who is bigger than everything.

He holds the worlds in His hands.

He is trustworthy and faithful. His words are true.

He is eternal; from everlasting to everlasting!

When our trust is in Him, we have nothing to fear. We should not worry.

And though the things we see trouble our minds, we must remember that He has told us to trust Him even when we might not understand.

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV) 5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.
