Bible Verse of The Day – 8-31-24

Matthew 7:1 (NKJV) 1 “Judge not, that you be not judged.

We are all in a different place in our walk with God.

And this is one of the reasons we should never judge a person.

We don’t know where others are at, or what they are dealing with. Only God knows.

His judgement is righteous, and He knows everything about each person, and He judges them rightly.

Thank God He is our judge. He gives us all many chances to get things right. And He forgives us for things we would never forgive ourselves for doing. His mercy is new every day!

Lamentations 3:22-23 (NKJV) 22 Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. 23 They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.

There are a lot of things we all must work on. But hopefully, as we get stronger in our walk with God, some things will become less of a struggle for us.

Our journey with Christ is an ongoing walk. It is a process.

We are all learning, growing and asking God for His forgiveness, whether we are a new believer or an older believer.

When we see others doing things that we have grown away from, we may judge them or look at them negatively. But the better thing to teach ourselves is to pray for them and ask God to help them in that area.

We must remember to continue to treat others with the same treatment God gives to us; with much love, mercy and forgiveness.

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-30-24

Genesis 1:3 (NKJV) 3 Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.

Sometimes we need to take our eyes off the heavy stuff that is happening around us and just focus on the One; our Creator and Redeemer.

With His words He spoke the worlds and everything in them into existence.

He did not require anyone to supply Him with materials. Why? Because He is.

He has been for eternity, and He will continue to be.

There is nothing made that was not made by Him.

He breathed life into the nostrils of Adam.

And that breath of life lives in every human being that is conceived in the womb of their mother.

It is in Him that we find our strength, our peace, and our solace.

It is in Him that we find mercy and compassion.

And it is because of that mercy that He made a way for us to be saved. It is a gift made available to all humanity.

We just need to reach out and take it.

Today, let us take a few minutes to stop and thank Him simply for who He is.

Give Him honor and glory. Tell Him how much you love Him.

It is what we are here for. And He is more than worthy!

Amen

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-29-24

Matthew 17:20 (NKJV) 20 So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.

We are so happy to share with you that we have seen some tremendous breakthroughs and miracles take place this year in the lives of others!

Most of these have been health-related.

We are in awe; truly amazed at what God is doing. All praises belong to Him!

We should ask ourselves, is prayer just a word to us, a word we use often without realizing its power and importance?

Is it a phrase that has become too common?

Do we mean it when we say, “I will pray for you, I will lift you up in prayer, I will keep you in my prayers”?

Do we take them to God?

Do we believe in the power of prayer?

Do we pray knowing that God’s ear is on the receiving end of it, listening intently and ready to act as we stand together in agreement with Him?

When we realize that prayer is more than just a word we use to comfort people, that prayer spoken in faith is powerful, that it will get answered, and that it is our “open line” to God, then we will see the importance of spending time in prayer.

Along with prayer, we need to understand there is another important, very powerful word; fasting.

Fasting is required in some situations. The Holy Spirit will prompt us to fast at times.

If we are a follower of Christ, we have access to the throne room of God.

Jesus Christ dying on that cross gave those who call on His name the right to become God’s child. And as His child we can go directly to Him at any time of the day and night.

Are we ready to pray and fast for situations, and see God’s mighty hand touch down around us?

We believe that every child of God can move mountains if they have faith as a mustard seed.

John 1:12-13 (NKJV) 12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-28-24

Luke 12:32 (NKJV) 32 “Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

Do you spend time worrying about the things that are happening in the world right now?

Does it bother us that evil is running unchecked, with no justice meted out to those who are the perpetrators of all we are seeing?

Do we wring our hands at the increase of wars and rumors of wars?

Are we angry with the chaos we see happening around the globe, wondering how this can all be happening?

Do we struggle with the fact that evil people are in charge in many places, and that their leadership only propagates evil further?

Do we fret over whether we will be able to afford the necessities of life as we watch prices of everyday items continue to rise?

Here are five words to allay your fears and concerns: Do not fear, little flock.

As Jesus spoke those words, He was speaking to His disciples about cares and worries.

He specifically told them not to worry about what they would wear or eat. For life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.

Food and clothing are the things we tend to worry about most. They are the staples of life.

But though they are staples, these are the very things Jesus told us not to fret about!

And here is what Jesus says in response to our worries.

Luke 12:31 (NKJV) 31 But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you.

These things, the very things we worry about, will be given to us as we put God first and seek His kingdom.

Therefore, do not worry.

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-27-24

John 17:3 (NKJV) 3 And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.

When things are unbearable to walk out, we’d better know Him. We’ve got to have Him; He is the only way we will make it through.

This past week, we heard of someone who lost their spouse at a very young age. It happened quickly.

The person, only in their mid 40s, had a heart attack and never recovered from it. They left behind a spouse and 6 young children to care for.

Oh, the pain I saw in this man’s eyes. He was clearly hurting.

In an instant, everything has changed for them. They are facing a difficult and unbearable time.

If we are a child of God, and things like this happen to us, we need to know He is there for us!

Hold onto Him. Cry out to Him. Lean on Him and rest in His arms.

Day by day, He will be our ROCK.

We must let Him go before us. He will be at our right hand.

He will light up our path in the darkest storm. He will comfort us in those hurtful situations. He will quiet us and give us peace in the most hostile and chaotic moments.

Psalm 16:8 (NKJV) 8 I have set the Lord always before me; Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved.

We pray that you know Him! Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-26-24

Luke 12:40 (NKJV) 40 Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.”

As Jesus shared a parable about a faithful servant and an evil servant, He used examples of a master leaving home and then returning later.

His parable alludes to the fact that the servants did not know at what time the master would return, so their loyalty and diligence was put to the test.

Jesus encouraged His disciples to be always prepared, like “men who wait for their master” that when he knocks, they open the door to him immediately.

And so it should be for us today.

We should not let the cares of the world catch us up in worry and fretting.

We should not allow jealousy and envy to cause us to constantly spin our wheels in pursuit of wealth and popularity.

Let us, instead, spend our time and our effort on the things of God’s kingdom; the things that please Him and cause our relationship with Him to grow and flourish.

That we be like the faithful servant spoken of by Jesus who keeps themselves prepared and girded, with a lamp always burning, ready for Him upon His return.

If we feel ourselves getting drawn in by the cares of this world, may we surrender ourselves fully to Him and obey the leading of His Spirit.

Luke 12:37-38 (NKJV) 37 Blessed are those servants whom the master, when he comes, will find watching. Assuredly, I say to you that he will gird himself and have them sit down to eat, and will come and serve them. 38 And if he should come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-25-24 – A Work in Progress

Please click to watch the video now.Greetings in the name of Jesus!

There is a phrase that Jesus spoke in which He referred to specks and planks.

In our new video, we also refer to that phrase as we teach about being careful not to judge others because we are all “A Work in Progress” as God teaches us and molds us.

This is a great lesson for all of us, to remind us that not even one of us is perfect.

We hope you enjoy it!

We love you all!

Enjoy your day.

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-24-24

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV) 5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

To be able to trust God, we must first surrender to Him.

How do we surrender to anyone or anything?

We comply with the way they want to do things. We submit or allow them to have authority. We agree to stop resisting them.

Surrendering to God is trusting Him even when we may not understand everything.

What is it today that God is asking us to surrender to Him?

Are we holding back, resisting and not allowing Him to have authority in a certain area of our lives?

I have realized that it not only hurts us to keep resisting Him, but it delays things that He wants to be able to do with us and through us.

We all go through this at different times in our walk. Let us stand today in agreement that together we wholly surrender that part of us that we continue to resist Him with. That He may be able to direct our path fully.

Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-23-24

Jeremiah 29:13 (NKJV) 13 And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.

With all your heart. With your whole heart.

In our relationship with God, these two phrases are more important for us to understand than most of us realize.

Numerous times throughout God’s Word, we are instructed to seek Him with all our heart and to love Him with our whole heart.

Deuteronomy 6:5 (NKJV) 5 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.

His desire is that we put Him above all else.

But do we?

As humans, it can be challenging to do this consistently unless we determine in our hearts and make a conscious, sincere effort to do so.

If we could get this one thing right, to put Him above all else, our lives would change drastically!

Our walk with God would grow exponentially. The way we interact with people would change. The way we see everything about our lives would be forever altered.

Our heart would begin to desire the things of God more than the things of the world.

Our attitude would change.

Our outlook on life would change.

Our habits would change.

Our language would change.

Our circle of friends would change.

How we spend our money would change.

The things we participate in would change.

The things we watch and listen to would change.

We would stop gossiping.

We would put down our phones and pick up our Bibles.

We would learn to forgive.

And the list can go on to be quite lengthy.

But not one of us can experience any of this if we don’t make the effort.

It will not happen simply by us wanting it to.

It all starts when we take the first step, and we trust God to lead us into the second step, the third step, and so on.

Today is that day; the day to start.

You will never regret it.

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-22-24

Matthew 22:37 (NKJV) 37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’

When we become God’s child, we show Him our love by surrendering and obeying Him in a way that we have never known before.

Change comes to our heart through reading His word and making adjustments as the Holy Spirit leads us to do so. When our heart changes our mind will begin to think differently.

When we renew our mind, it changes from the fearful ways of the carnal mind to the vibrant, faith-induced thinking of the quickened spiritual mind.

If we don’t allow God to get ahold of our heart, and change its condition, our minds will remain the same. And we will continue to function and operate as when we were an” unsaved” person. Change must come to a believer!

As we follow God’s leading, there will be noticeable changes taking place within us. And some people may even begin to look at us differently. Some people may not like the changes they see in us.

We can’t let this discourage us. I like to think of these as “growing pains.”

It may be a little painful when people don’t agree with our decision to follow Christ, but we will surely grow in a good way if we don’t give up and we don’t let them pressure us into doing things their way.

As the changes take place in our heart and mind, our soul will do one of two things. It will want to follow or to run far away.

According to the dictionary: A soul is made up of the mind, will, and emotions of a person. The soul is the seat of feelings, desires, and affections. It’s the character or substance of a person.

We must make our soul obey! That’s right. It takes work, diligence, and a constant reminder of God’s word.

When the soul behaves as a child of God that loves Him with all his heart and mind, WOW! That is when God’s light will shine brightly through that believer, and he/she will make a statement!

Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-21-24

Jeremiah 24:7 (NKJV) 7 Then I will give them a heart to know Me, that I am the Lord; and they shall be My people, and I will be their God, for they shall return to Me with their whole heart.

The people of Israel have a long history of heart problems. And this does not refer to a medical condition.

The Israelites have spent much of the last several centuries being chastened by God for their behavior.

God has shown them great favor by intervening on their behalf in situations that would have meant certain death for their entire civilization.

He rescued them. And in return He asked only for their wholehearted dedication and love.

The people of Israel were always quick to promise Him all of what He asked for.

And then just as quick to betray Him by worshiping idols of metal, wood, stone, or anything else they could find to fabricate a god from.

And then along came Jesus, the long-awaited Messiah; God in the flesh who laid down His life for humanity.

And the Jews once again grieved God by rejecting Him.

And why did this happen?

Because their hearts were hard; prone to practicing rituals and traditions instead of allowing God to soften and shape their hearts into what and who He wanted them to be.

As followers of Christ, we must also do the same; be cautious to allow God to keep our hearts soft and pliable.

We need to listen for His voice, and heed what we hear Him say.

And we must guard our hearts against anything that tries to put distance or enmity (hostility, animosity, friction) between us and our God.
