Bible Verse of The Day – 7-20-24

John 15:5 (NKJV) 5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

This morning as I was praying, I saw very clearly a beautiful picture of vines. And silently I said to myself. “What was that?”

I immediately looked up scriptures with the word vine in it. The very first one that came up was the scripture, “I am the vine!”

I knew that God was reassuring me that I need to trust Him.

Not people, not things, not anything other than Him.

Trust in Him for our provision.

Trust in Him for our healing.

Trust in Him for our answer.

Trust in Him for our daily needs.

Think about how we breathe; it comes naturally.

As God’s children, that’s how we ought to trust Him. It should be natural and effortless, where we don’t even think about it. We just do it automatically. Every day, every hour, every minute, and in every situation.

But what happens? Fear, concerns and anxiety all try to attack us and cause us to doubt when our situation changes.

He is our Vine; trust Him! Without Him we can do nothing.

Today is a good day to be reminded that we are well taken care of, and to trust in our Vine; Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

The Lord has us! Amen.

Bible Verse of the Day – 7-19-24

Jeremiah 33:3 (NKJV) 3 ‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’

Some of us may look at God as being big and far away; too big and too far to be relatable.

But this is not the God we serve.

Our God is personal. He loves us with a love that we as humans cannot comprehend.

He wants us to be close to Him. He wants us to know Him intimately. He wants to show us things; things that we could never imagine!

He is calling each of us, beckoning.

Seek me. Search for Me. Find Me.

Let me show you who I am.

Let me teach you, shape you, and mold you.

I have plans for you. And they are beyond what you may expect or dream of.

I know you better than you know yourself.

I know your needs. I know your desires.

Let me take you, take your desires, and teach you how to make My desires yours.

Let me transform you, replacing your heart of stone with a heart of flesh; a new heart that beats for Me.

And as you let Me do this, I will show you things; mighty (inaccessible) things that will shape your life and your thinking, altering your eternal destiny.

I am Yahweh, Adonai, Elohim; the God who restores you, sets you free and sustains you.

Trust Me with your entire being. Give your life wholly to Me. Surrender to my Spirit.

Live life for Me and you will see Me move in ways that you have never seen before.

Call to Me. I will answer.

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-18-24

1 John 1:4 (NKJV) 4 And these things we write to you that your joy may be full.

The joy that John speaks of here does not come from material wealth and success.

This joy is a divine character that we receive from God through His Holy Spirit living in us. It is a knowing of Who He is!

The joy of the Lord is given to us when we make Him our Savior; when we put our faith and trust in Him.

This joy that comes from Him will stick with us through hard times, even when we want to cry out from our pain inside.

Instead, a song of praise will rise up from this joy that is strong even in times of fear.

Paul and Silas were able to pray and sing after being severely beaten and thrown in prison.

Acts 16:25 (NKJV) 25 But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.

When situations like this arise, unless we have the joy of the Lord in us, it’s very difficult to pull ourselves together and act accordingly.

This joy of the Lord sticks with us because of the foundation which it is built on; knowing that He existed before His manifestation in the proper time, knowing that He was birthed through a virgin woman and assumed real manhood, knowing He is our Savior who came and died for our sins.

This joy is unstoppable!

It will take us from the lowest valley to the highest mountain. It is our strength, and it remains in us all today.

John 15:11 (NKJV) 11 “These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.

Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-17-24

Zechariah 14:9 (LSB) 9 And Yahweh will be king over all the earth; in that day Yahweh will be the only one, and His name one.

As I approach my 62nd birthday, I tend to reflect a lot more than I used to, looking back not just on my own life, but on the world we live in.

I do not do this to reminisce, but to ponder on the things I have seen and that I see now.

I see the world through different eyes than I did when I was young. I am no longer naïve, nor am I spiritually blind any longer.

I recognize evil for what it is. I see its far-reaching effects, and the havoc that it wreaks in the lives of those who embrace it.

And it is with this understanding that I say with the utmost confidence that there is only one name that matters to me. It is Yahweh. He is my God and my Rock.

His name is forever, and His plans are true and trustworthy.

And it is in His plans that I rest, knowing that if I follow Him and His leading, I cannot go wrong.

The world will pass away, even as it is now decaying before our eyes, rotting with the evil that is consuming it.

He is my Safe Haven, the shelter that I run to for my peace and assurance.

He is my Provider, ever faithful to bring me through whatever storms I may face.

And He is my Redeemer, the Forgiver of my sins as I repent and trust Him with everything about my life.

My God, I love You, adore You, and worship You with all my heart.

I look toward the day when you will be King over all the earth, destroying evil once and for all.

Amen

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-16-24

1 John 2:6 (NKJV) 6 He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.

The only way to know how He walked is to study and learn of Him through His word.

In His word, He gives us advice on everything we may encounter. He gives real-life examples throughout each book.

Taking the time to read and study the scriptures will help us stay strong and think the way He thought.

We will learn to act based on situations and things we encounter, instead of reacting out of fear, emotion, or our own intellect.

His teachings will hold our feet to the fire, so to speak, keeping us accountable.

He is calling each and every one of us into a clean, righteous walk with Him. A journey of being renewed in our hearts and minds. A road of transformation.

Romans 12:2 (NKJV) 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Boot camp for life as you will.

Yes, in areas where we are weak, we will gain His strength through abiding in Him and be transformed in the way we think and act.

Are we ready to walk like Him?

Only we can make that happen by spending time drawing close to Him through learning who He is and how He functioned in everyday situations while He walked the earth in human flesh.

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-15-24

2 Corinthians 4:17-18 (NKJV) 17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, 18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

While these verses mention afflictions and are frequently used to give hope and encouragement regarding those afflictions that we all face from time to time, today we are going to look at something other than afflictions or trials.

Look at that last sentence!

First, it says that we are not looking at things that are seen, but those things that are not seen, reminding us that tangible, earthly things should not be our focus.

We are also reminded that earthly things are temporary. They are here one moment and gone the next.

Hope placed in earthly things is misplaced hope that can be shattered in a split second.

And look at those last several words; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

We live in a tangible world, but we are not of this world.

We frequently build our lives around the here and now, expending great energy on earthly things that crumble without warning, leaving us rushing to find something to hold onto.

As followers of Christ, we have much available to teach us on this topic, as Jesus was faithful to teach His disciples these same truths. And it was some of these very same things that they wrestled with so badly as they learned to discern between the natural and the spiritual realm.

Paul summed it all very neatly when He said the following:

Ephesians 6:12 (NKJV) 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

Let us continue to learn and grow, growing to recognize and discern between the natural realm and the things of the spiritual realm, that we do not waste our time chasing after things that wither and fade away.

Please click to watch the video now.Greetings, precious brothers and sisters in Christ!

In today’s new video, Stability In Him, we teach about finding our stability in God instead of searching for it in the things of the world.

We hope this video will bring you hope and comfort in these dark times.

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-13-24

Genesis 19:4-5 (NKJV) 4 Now before they lay down, the men of the city, the men of Sodom, both old and young, all the people from every quarter, surrounded the house. 5 And they called to Lot and said to him, “Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us that we may know them carnally.”

The destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah came because of the sinful behaviors of the people. The entire city was destroyed.

Only Lot and his two daughters, made it out alive.

When the angels of the Lord came to get Lot and his family out, the men of the city tried to get at the angels of the Lord. They insisted on them coming outside so they could “know them carnally”; have sexual intercourse with them.

God addressed this sinful behavior that they willingly practiced in their lives. And He will address it in ours as well.

Leviticus 18:22 (NKJV) 22 You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination.

Today, if we are sleeping with people of the same sex, we must know the truth about what God says about it.

It is considered an abomination. We need to get His help and come clean.

Just like other sins, this one will destroy us if we continue in it.

We need to do whatever it takes to get out of it. God is faithful, and He will guide our steps.

He will give us strength, courage, and steadfastness to get out if we are sincerely wanting to change.

Fasting and praying is a good place to start when it comes to getting deliverance, healing and direction. But we need to be in it for the long haul; not giving up even if we fall back into it when we are tempted.

James 4:7 (NKJV) 7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

We must be willing to pull ourselves together and push forward by resisting the temptation and submitting to God. Start over again if we must.

Be willing to change our habits and make sacrifices by removing those people around us who keep us from doing the right thing.

Sin will destroy us if we do not stop laying down with it.

If we still have breath in us, we must keep fighting for righteous living, keep standing strong, giving it every necessary effort.

We stand with you in prayer and fasting. You can win this battle, in Jesus’ name!

Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-12-24

John 8:36 (NKJV) 36 Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.

This is a reminder for you today that Jesus came to set us free.

And there is nothing too big for Him to free us from.

There are no chains too strong for Him to break.

There is no addiction too powerful for Him to deliver us from.

There is no sickness that He cannot heal.

There is no situation too big or too terrible for Him to overcome.

There is no sin too terrible for Him to redeem us from.

He walked on water. He spoke and the winds and waves ceased.

He gave sight to the blind, hearing to the deaf, and speech to the mute.

He raised the dead. He healed the lepers. He set the demon-possessed free.

He is no different today. He never changes.

He is still in the business of setting people free!

Whatever you may be facing right now, it is never too big for our God.

Reach out in faith. Trust Him with your dilemma, your addiction, your sickness, or your broken heart.

Give it to Him in complete submission and surrender.

Let Him take it from you, in the mighty name of Jesus.

Lay it at His feet and walk away free, by the power of His name and the blood that he shed for you and for me.

Amen

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-11-24

Jeremiah 33:3 (NKJV) 3 ‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’

The great part about being God’s child is that we can be totally honest with Him.

That’s right! We can tell Him everything.

We can tell Him how we feel, what we are thinking, and our concerns. We can even tell Him if we are doubting the things we have done.

Sometimes we just don’t know what is happening based on the things we see.

Just the other day, I was waking up from a deep sleep. A thought immediately came into my mind about a decision we had made. It brought doubt with it.

I prayed, dear God; I hope we did not make the wrong choice. Please forgive us if we did.

God quickly, and I mean within seconds, reassured me that we hadn’t. That everything was good.

You know those times when if you don’t see change right away, or you see things going in a different direction than you thought, you immediately blame yourself for something?

These are the times you can cry out to God and ask Him, Lord, did I do something to cause this change or is it something else going on here?

I love that we can be upfront with Him. I love that He doesn’t look down at us. That He doesn’t form an opinion about us if we have doubts or questions at times.

I want to encourage you today. If you do have doubts or questions, it’s more than OK to go to Him. Be open and honest and tell Him your concerns. He will comfort you; I promise.

Call to Him and He will answer you.  Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-10-24

Exodus 34:29 (LSB) 29 Now it happened when Moses was coming down from Mount Sinai (and the two tablets of the testimony were in Moses’ hand as he was coming down from the mountain), that Moses did not know that the skin of his face shone because of his speaking with Him.

When Moses came down the mountain and he approached the people of Israel, Aaron and the others were startled by what they saw.

They were afraid to come near him due to his face being radiant and bright.

Moses had just spent forty days on Mount Sanai, speaking and communing with God. The effects of this included the face of Moses glowing in a way that the others could not comprehend.

This was the invisible Spirit of God emanating from Moses in a visible manner. Because they had never witnessed anything like this, it caused them to stay at a distance, afraid to approach him.

This glowing radiance was the manifestation of God’s presence on Moses. He had been touched by God’s Spirit in a way that people could see. And it caused them to be fearful.

Moses assured them that everything was OK, and that there was nothing to fear. Then they approached him, and he spoke with them.

When we spend time with God, we change. It becomes visible in our lives.

It is impossible for us to spend time with Him and not be noticeably changed.

This is why it is critical for us to pull away, just as Jesus did, and be alone with Him.

We need the quiet time where we can speak to Him and listen for His voice, hearing what He wants us to hear, gaining His insights, His understanding, His peace, and His joy in our lives.

Without this, we will never know God in the way He desires us to know Him. And we will never grow and mature into who He wants us to be.

Make time each day to dig into His word, spend quiet time with Him, and learn of Him.

We may not visibly glow like Moses, but the impact on our lives will be visible in many ways.
