Greetings in the mighty name of Jesus! Please click to watch the video now

Each new day seems to bring new challenges for each of us.

It’s safe to say that the world is pretty upside down now.

As we face trials, it’s important to know how God wants us to handle them.

In today’s video, Set Your Face Like a Flint, we teach on this and what it means.

This is a very important video for the season that we are in right now. So, we hope you will take the time to watch it and get understanding in the areas that are so critically important for us to understand clearly.

Please click here to watch the video now.

Enjoy your day, and draw near to God as we move forward.

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-19-22

Mark 8:35-36 (NKJV)  35 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it. 36 For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?

Lose what? Our life, for Jesus’ sake and the gospel’s.

Boy, what a serious thing that Jesus is saying here. How do we lose our life for Him?

By letting go or giving up all of our selfish, personal ambitions. By desiring Him more than anything else.

By choosing the path He has for us, we give up all our own desires, denying ourselves of the things we want or think we need.

Wow. This is a hard one to swallow.

We may say, “how in the world can we live like that? How can we not want, desire or even need something?”. It’s seemingly impossible.

The thing to remember is that this means we no longer put those things first, not necessarily that we don’t want them or even need them.

It’s important to note, though, that if we prioritize and keep Christ first and above all that other stuff, our needs and wants will definitely change.

Don’t gain the world and lose our soul. It’s not even close to being worth it. The things in this world are nothing in comparison to our life with Jesus. Nothing!

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-18-22

2 Timothy 1:13-14 (NKJV) 13 Hold fast the pattern of sound words which you have heard from me, in faith and love which are in Christ Jesus. 14 That good thing which was committed to you, keep by the Holy Spirit who dwells in us.

Hold fast.

These are words for today; words that we need to keep speaking to each other as we push through the many battles that we face.

These are words that we need to live by, reminding us to stay strong in the face of adversity.

Paul spoke these words to Timothy, urging him to be loyal to the faith.

And so, we speak them to you today, urging the very same thing; be loyal to the faith that Christ died to establish in each of us.

We do not walk this path in vain. We do, in fact, walk it with a purpose. A purpose that God has set before us and a race that He has given to us to run.

Let us run it well. Let us, in fact, run with endurance this race that is set before us, that we may not just limp across the finish line, but finish strong.

It is by holding fast that we can accomplish this, drawing our strength and resolve from the One who stands at the finish line, beckoning us toward Him every minute of every day, guiding us by His Holy Spirit.

Don’t shrink back. Don’t let up.

As fellow believers have done before us, so we must do, pressing through until our time here is finished.

Hebrews 12:1-2 (NKJV) 1 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Hold fast, brothers and sisters.

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-17-22

Mark 8:22 (NKJV) 22 Then He came to Bethsaida; and they brought a blind man to Him, and begged Him to touch him.

How many of us today are begging Jesus for a touch?

Maybe we need some kind of miracle to take place so that we can move forward in our lives. We’ve been stuck in the same rut for a long time and we are so tired, seeing and hearing the same things, every day, over and over.

We are beginning to lose hope if we don’t see a change come soon.

These men that brought the blind man in were begging Jesus, hoping that He would touch him, because they knew He would heal him completely.

And just as they knew it would happen, so do we. He can touch anything and bring wholeness, restoration, and completeness to our present situation.

Jesus did heal the man. But what’s important to know is that it took place in stages in that particular situation.

Mark 8:23-24 (NKJV) 23 So He took the blind man by the hand and led him out of the town. And when He had spit on his eyes and put His hands on him, He asked him if he saw anything. 24 And he looked up and said, “I see men like trees, walking.”

That was the first stage. But the answer the man gave to Jesus told Him that the healing wasn’t yet complete.

So, Jesus took another step to bring it to its completion.

Mark 8:25 (NKJV) 25 Then He put His hands on his eyes again and made him look up. And he was restored and saw everyone clearly.

Seeing men like trees was not going to work, he needed to see them clearly, so Jesus did it again.

There will be times, just like with this man, when our answer will come in stages. And we have to keep our faith and hold on to Jesus for His promises no matter how long it may take.

Don’t stop believing for Him to complete the work that He has begun. Be patient. Follow His lead and give Him time.

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-16-22

Romans 15:13 (NKJV) 13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Who is God?

He is the God of hope.

I don’t know about you, but to me I would say that we could all use a little more hope these days.

So, if God is the God of hope, and we are His children, hope should be part of our nature.

We should not be hopeless. We should not lack hope.

We should be hopeful, and steadfast in that hope, since we carry the “DNA” of Christ in our spirit.

This is not to say that we are like little “Christs” running around. That’s not the case.

But because (if we have put our faith and trust in Christ) we are children of the Most High God, we should be inherently more hopeful than any other people on earth.

Why? Because our Father is the One in charge and on the throne!

Don’t let the situation in the world get you down. Don’t let it drag your thoughts down to the point where you’re constantly discouraged.

God has told us that things of this nature will happen. And the fact that they are should prove His word is true.

Trust Him.

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-15-22

Proverbs 15:1 (NKJV) 1 A soft answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger.

As believers in Christ, it’s important that we remember this in the midst of discussions, including some that may be heavy or intense.

We must be able to change our tone and hold our emotions together at a moment’s notice.

Is it easy? NOPE, not on our own. But, with the Holy Spirit, He will help us stay calm and hold our fleshly desires under control.

We can still be firm, even in our soft answers. It will make a difference. But if we are harsh or angry, and we say things that are not helpful, it can very well stir the pot.

We don’t want to be harsh when expressing ourselves; we want to be productive.

We want to be heard. And if that is the case, we must take these words to heart literally. Soft answers work!

We have to be able to stuff the emotions down sometimes. That is all part of maturing as a believer. Matured enough to say no to the emotions and yes to the Holy Spirit’s leading.

Words will make a difference when used correctly, with the right tone. They will bring much healing, understanding and forward motion.

Soft turns away wrath. Harsh stirs the pot.

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-14-22

Lamentations 5:19 (NLT) 19 But Lord, you remain the same forever! Your throne continues from generation to generation.

There are a few things we can count on in life.

1 – Change will always come. Life is about change. Sometimes it comes in little ways. Other times it comes in big ways that turns our lives upside down. Either way, change is part of life.

2 – Evil will impact our lives in one way or another. It will either impact us directly because of choices we make, or it will impact us indirectly because of choices that others make. Either way, evil will impact us.

3 – Now this is the best one of the three. God is the same forever!

God will never change. He will always be steadfast and true.

He will never lie, and He will never forsake us.

This far outweighs the first two constants that we listed. And it makes life worth living, no matter what we’re facing or fighting against.

Hold fast to God. Cling to Him in everything.

He will never, ever change. And his throne continues from generation to generation.

Nothing is more sure than this.

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-12-22

Mark 6:41 (NKJV) 41 And when He had taken the five loaves and the two fish, He looked up to heaven, blessed and broke the loaves, and gave them to His disciples to set before them; and the two fish He divided among them all.

It was all the disciples had. But Jesus, being moved with compassion, took it and blessed it. Then He gave it out, and it fed them all!

The disciples sowed a seed; they gave all they had. And then the miracle took place!

What is it today that we need to sow, and in return see a miracle?

Notice that this particular miracle was done for others.

The disciples knew that 5 loaves and 2 fish would not get the job done. It wouldn’t even come close to taking care of the people. They were thinking more on the lines of sending the people away so they could go get food.

But Jesus taught them something to remember that day; give Me something I can bless and multiply. Give Me something I can work with.

He fed them all with 5 loaves and 2 fish. It was a miracle indeed!

But the miracle came when they gave up what they already had. This is a big step to take. And many will say no to this, not being willing to surrender what they have.

Someone’s waiting on a miracle today. Is there something that you may be holding back on giving to God? Is there something that you need to let go of?

I remember, years ago, we thought we’d have to leave our home. Hard times had hit, and we needed to do something.

Selling was the only answer we could see. And we were willing to give it up.

But God saw our heart, and He told us not to do it. He had another way.

He provided for us and got us on track. He saw our willing heart to do whatever we had to do. In return, He gave us a way out. He parted the red sea in our situation.

What miracle do we need today, not just for us, but maybe for someone else?

A miracle is when our need is greater than what we can do on our own. It is beyond our capability. We need God.

God help us to be willing to sow that seed if need be, that You may bless it and we may experience Your miracle today.

Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-11-22

Lamentations 3:25 (NKJV) 25 The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, To the soul who seeks Him.

No matter what we face in our lives, if we hold tightly to God and stay close to Him, waiting on Him patiently, He will be good to us.

We need to understand that we play a big part in our walk with God and our relationship with Him.

We don’t just hide in the shadows and wait for Him to show up and do something for us.

We don’t just sit by His table, waiting for crumbs to fall so we can eat those crumbs.

We need to actively seek Him each and every day. We need to draw near to Him, so He will draw near to us. And we need to wait on Him in a way that shows that we trust Him, not fidgeting and fretting, as though He isn’t faithful or able to help us.

Trusting Him is the biggest thing we can learn to do, ever.

Seek Him, trust Him and wait for Him. And He will be good to us.

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-10-22

Mark 6:3 (NKJV) 3 Is this not the carpenter, the Son of Mary, and brother of James, Joses, Judas, and Simon? And are not His sisters here with us?” So they were offended at Him.

They knew Jesus on the outside, but they didn’t know Him on the inside.

Mighty Son of God here on earth. Miracle maker, Holy and perfect Man. One with our Creator of the world. Majesty, Messiah, King of kings and Prince of Peace is He!

He is everything they needed, and yet they looked upon Him as just a carpenter, the son of Mary, with brothers and sisters.

They did not see God in Him with their natural eyes, and their understanding was that of the natural, stubborn mind, directly from their will.

They did not hear Him in their spirit man because in their hearts they had already discounted who He really is; God in the Flesh.

Their ears and eyes did not see nor hear.

We all have that freedom. We can open up to Him and believe who He is, or we can deny Him and pretend He was just a carpenter’s son.

The heart is seen as the root of our being. It can be opened up to see and hear. It can also remain closed by our own will.

Mark 4:12 (NKJV) 12 so that ‘Seeing they may see and not perceive, And hearing they may hear and not understand; Lest they should turn, And their sins be forgiven them.’ ”

Do we will to know the truth about this carpenter, Mary’s Son, Jesus Christ?

Do we will our heart to know and learn about Him? And will we surrender our heart fully to Him?

When we do, our steps will not be our own, but directed by the Lord.

Don’t let our will contaminate our heart. Surrender it to Jesus Christ and know that He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life!

Amen.

John 14:6 (NKJV) 6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
