Bible Verse of The Day – 3-20-21

John 14:27 (NKJV) 27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Don’t get stuck on a certain part of your journey and lose out on the rest of what God may have for us.

This is a trick of the enemy.

He will try to get us to keep our eyes on the one thing that meant a lot to us, long after the season for it has ended.

He does this so that we will miss out on what God has for us in the future.

How many of us are in a state of “I’m not so sure about what is going to happen now that things are different”?

We keep thinking about how it was, better than ever before, and now we have nothing to look forward to.

We just can’t seem to get over the fact that our situation has changed. And now we won’t let ourselves move forward.

I know exactly how that feels.

I remember one year in particular. Both my daughters had gotten married and had moved out.

I remember looking at their empty rooms and saying, “Wow! Where did the time go?”.

They were gone, and their rooms were empty.

I cried, of course, and I even moped a bit.

I didn’t really know what to do next because my life revolved around caring for them, nurturing, guiding and holding them.

In the blink of an eye it was all gone, and I just didn’t quite know what to do with myself.

The house was way too quiet and it felt very empty. I felt alone. I felt like a part of me was empty and lost. And I was a bit confused about this new life of mine.

As time went by, I settled down and began to accept what had taken place.

I knew if I kept looking back, longing for the way things used to be, I would remain in this sad state. I had to let go of what was and move on to what is.

You may be scared today. Maybe you don’t even know how to move on.

All I could do during that time was say, “OK, I’m here. Now what, Lord?”.

Rest in Him. Let His peace carry you through it.

I’ve learned to love today and where I’m at.

My husband and I live out our lives to the fullest. We absolutely love doing things together.

There is hope for the hopeless. Let Him unfold it. He knows us better than we know ourselves. Every hair on our head is numbered.

Luke 12:7 (NKJV) 7 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-19-21

1 Thessalonians 2:4 (NKJV) 4 But as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, even so we speak, not as pleasing men, but God who tests our hearts.

Our hearts are constantly in awe at what God is doing.

It’s a terrifying thing to have God entrust you with something, yet not tell you exactly what that thing is, except day by day.

But we endeavor to do what God has given us to do, in a way that pleases Him and edifies the body.

We consider ourselves nothing more than His servants, used by the Holy Spirit to teach, encourage, exhort, feed, counsel, lead, guide and direct His people, one day, one step at a time.

In this, we want to thank you, His people, for your faithfulness in receiving what He has given us to say, for your prayers, for your support and for your encouragement.

We have seen so many of you grow in your walk with our heavenly Father and the Son, Jesus Christ.

It is evident in the emails, phone calls, cards and letters we receive. And it brings a special kind of joy to our hearts as we have watched so many of you move forward as children of God and soldiers in Christ.

We tell you this today, not to revel or glory in what God is using us for, but to encourage you to keep it up; keep pushing ahead, even when it gets tough to do so.

We know that this is a very tough season, but we are here right now because this is why God has made us, for such a time as this.

Let us be the Esthers, the Davids, the John the Baptists, the Elijahs and the Daniels in the spirit, holding fast to God and standing boldly in the face of the enemy, doing battle in the spirit realm, pushing back the darkness that so blatantly taunts us.

We can do this, by God’s strength alone.

Keep learning. Keep growing. Keep leaning in. Keep letting God mold you and shape you.

We love you all very much.

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-18-21

1 Peter 2:9 (NKJV) 9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light…

We are a chosen people, Lord, and we are crying out to you with a sincere heart, wanting to walk in your light.

We are a royal priesthood, a holy nation, Your own special people. You called us out of darkness. We belong to you.

Being fake and phony about our walk with You only hurts us and others we come in contact with.

If they think we are a believer and then they see us doing things that unbelievers do, well, that just makes people question You and who we say You are.

We are sorry if we have just been going through the motions.

We repent if we have learned the Church “lingo”, but deep down we have not changed our lifestyle, our words or our actions. We have been living a fake life.

We have not fooled You and we don’t fool others. They can tell by our ways who and what we follow. Having a Bible in one hand and the things of the world in the other won’t cut it any longer.

Today we sincerely cry out to You, God. Forgive us.

We want all of You. We want your teachings to touch our hearts and change us, that we may walk in your ways each day. That we may share love, and not hate. That we may not gossip, but turn away from those conversations that may lead us to. That we may not be negative but instead, speak words of encouragement into situations and the people around us.

Help us God today to walk in Your marvelous light. Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-17-21

Deuteronomy 28:1 (NKJV) 1 “Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth.

This scripture has two applications; a personal application and an application for a nation.

Today, let’s look at the personal application. And let’s focus on the part that says, “if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God”.

Take note that the end of the verse states that if Israel diligently obeyed the voice of the Lord their God, He would set them above all the nations of the earth.

Now, let’s look at this from a personal point of view.

First, we need to note the importance of diligently obeying the voice of the Lord our God. This is the foundation for everything else about our walk and our life as a child of God.

God wants our whole heart in everything that we do. He doesn’t want part of it. He wants it all.

And, to be honest, if we’re going to walk with God, why wouldn’t we want to give Him our whole heart? If there’s a single thing in our lives that’s worth giving 100%, it’s our relationship with the Creator of all that we see.

Now, let’s talk about that word, diligently, and what it means on a personal level.

To do something diligently means to do it meticulously, rigorously, painstakingly, with attention to great detail, etc.

In short, it means doing it with our whole heart, no holds barred.

This isn’t for the purpose of gaining God’s favor or for the sake of being rewarded.

It is evidence of our faith in God and love for Him. It’s also an outward manifestation of God’s grace at work in our hearts.

It’s important to note that this obedience isn’t just about following a ritual or a routine. It’s about a relationship that’s alive and growing.

And what does God promise for those who diligently obey His voice?

He will set them high above all the nations of the earth.

On a personal level, that means He will lift us up when we’re down, sustain (comfort, encourage, assist, give strength to) us, provide for us, and bless us.

These things are just icing on the cake, so to speak, since having His love, mercy and grace active in our lives is already more than enough.

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-16-21

John 8:36 (NKJV) 36 Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.

We’ve spent some time dealing with a person in prison.

Prior to going to prison, he was an alcoholic.

One day, with tears in his eyes, he said to us, “I was told you could quit drinking on your own. You just have to stop. But I say, for some it is not that easy. It’s very hard to do”.

He cried hard, knowing that his attempts to stop had failed, time after time.

The decisions he’s made over the years have repeatedly put him in prison.

God knows what people go through and He wants to help us in our struggle.

There are addictions and strongholds that man alone cannot break. We’ve got to know when we need help.

If we’re in trouble time after time, doing the same things, and nothing is getting better, then we need a stronger, more direct help that comes only from God.

Where are we today?

Do we need to be set free from a stronghold?

We know just the One to help.

God sent His Son to set us free. If we truly believe Him, and we repent and ask Him to help us, He will.

And when He sets us free, my friend, we are free indeed.

Would you pray with us today?

Dear God in heaven,

As I come to You this day, I am addicted, I’m struggling, I’m hurt,  and I am lost. I need You, Father.

I need Your deliverance, Your healing, Your helping hand to save me in this very present time of trouble.

God, I want to be set free today from the grip of sin.

I ask in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Psalm 46:1 (NKJV) 1 God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-15-21

Revelation 3:18 (NKJV) 18 I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.

Do we have eyes that see?

What do we see?

Do we see selectively?

Do we choose not to see some things because they make us uncomfortable, because we don’t understand them, because they disturb us or because they might scare us?

We have that choice. We can choose to see all that God wants us to see, or we can block some things out and choose not to see them.

The thing we need to remember, though, is that there are some things that God wants us to see even if we might not like them, or even if they might make us a bit uncomfortable.

Seeing these things might bother us, but it helps us to learn and to grow. It allows God to stretch us as believers.

This can make us uncomfortable at times. It might even cause us to shrink back.

But we can never grow and move forward if we stay locked inside of the same comfortable box day after day, year after year.

If we’re going to mature as believers, we need to push beyond our boundaries of comfort.

Trials and times of difficulty will cause us to move outside of our comfort zones and to make changes necessary for us to mature as believers.

Sometimes the trials we face come by our own hand, because of choices we make. Sometimes they happen because of choices others have made. The effects of their choices trickle down to us

Sometimes, though, trials come solely to allow God to stretch and shape us. Yes, some of them even come by His hand.

Regardless, no matter how they come, we need to embrace them and let God do His works through them, even if we despise the trial itself.

We need to let God open our spiritual eyes and show us what’s behind the things we’re seeing, and then let Him show us how He wants us to handle it.

Hiding ourselves from them won’t spare us from the trial. It will just prevent us from gaining understanding, from learning and from growing.

It’s important that we embrace God in the midst of our trials and times when we don’t understand what we’re seeing.

And when we do see what’s happening, we can’t wallow in it, drowning in frustration, anger or even hatred.

It’s not always easy, but we need to keep our focus on God and His sovereignty. We need to let Him teach us, shape us and mold us through the trials that we face.

Once we do this, we will begin to get understanding, and the way we handle trials and the scary stuff will change drastically, a little at a time.

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-14-21 – To See or Not to See

Please click to watch the video now.Greetings in the name of Jesus!

Do you have eyes to see?

That’s the topic of discussion in today’s video, To See or Not to See.

In this newest video, we teach on letting God teach us how to see beyond what’s visible to our natural eyes.

This is a bit of a precursor to learning more about spiritual warfare, and it’s key to helping everyone understand what we’re seeing happening in the world right now.

It’s important for all of us to know and understand these things, so we do hope you’ll take a few minutes to watch it.

Please click here to watch the video now.

We love you all, and we’re praying for you.

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-13-21

Isaiah 26:3 (NKJV) 3 You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.

Who will He keep in perfect peace? Those whose mind is stayed on Him!

In other words, those who don’t get distracted by the problems in front of them. Those who keep their eyes and heart fixed on Him.

Our trust in Him is needed if we want His peace.

Some say, “I’m not at peace with what is going on around me”. God says, keep your mind on Me.

Some say, “I’m not at peace with myself”. God says, keep your mind on Me.

Some say, “my family is all messed up. I don’t know how to handle it, and I’m going nuts trying to pull it together”. God says, keep your mind on Me.

Philippians 4:7 (NKJV) 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

There are a lot of people right now who have lost the peace that surpasses all understanding. Why?

Because their mind and heart are not on the Lord, but rather on the problems before them.

Sorry, but it doesn’t work that way.

Our minds have to be fixed on Him if we want His peace to work in our lives and help us to make the right decisions.

If we’ve left Him behind, we need to get back to Him.

Because If we left Him behind then we were not trusting Him. We were trusting ourselves.

There is never going to be His peace in that.

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-12-21

Proverbs 28:13 (NKJV) 13 He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.

We all sin.

It’s good that we let God teach us and transform us so we sin less and less over time.

But the fact is that we all still do stupid stuff sometimes.

And when we do, what does God tell us to do about it? He tells us to confess it and forsake it.

He wants us to go to Him, confess what we have done and then turn from it (repent), not falling into it over and over again.

And what does He say He will do? He will show us mercy.

You see, if we are truly repentant, we will want to stop doing that thing that keeps us distant from God.

We will want to do the right (righteous) thing, proving our love for God.

The worst thing we can do is to try to cover our sins.

Trying to cover them only makes things worse for us. The weight of those covered sins just keeps growing and growing, getting heavier over time until it can become unbearable.

We can liken it to carrying a backpack on our backs. Each covered (unconfessed) sin is like a rock that gets placed into the backpack. Each time we sin and fail to confess it and repent, another rock gets tossed into the pack.

You can see how, over time, that backpack can get pretty heavy!

It’s time to empty our backpacks. Go to God directly and confess them. And then repent (turn away from them), so we can receive His mercy!

1 John 1:9 (NKJV) 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-11-21

John 15:3-4 (NKJV) 3 You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. 4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.

Our motive every day needs to be to learn to remain in God.

Our journey in life is meant to be used to grow closer to Him while we are here.

It’s not that we will never face anything hard, because we will. But it’s about going through those hard times and learning how to remain in Him, even when things are rough.

It is only Him that can get us through those tough and painful moments that life will hit us with. Nothing else will keep us moving forward in this life.

Some things may make us feel better for a period of time. They may even appear to give us hope and make us think it’s good for us. But we will soon find out that it’s not the real deal. It won’t carry us all the way through.

The truth of the matter is, as we remain in God through faith in Christ, we will live by His strength and bear much fruit!

Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-10-21

Habakkuk 3:17-19 (NKJV)  17 Though the fig tree may not blossom, Nor fruit be on the vines; Though the labor of the olive may fail, And the fields yield no food; Though the flock may be cut off from the fold, And there be no herd in the stalls— 18 Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation. 19 The Lord God is my strength; He will make my feet like deer’s feet, And He will make me walk on my high hills. To the Chief Musician. With my stringed instruments.

As I was reading Habakkuk this week, this prayer caught my attention.

It was written to be sung, not just spoken, although that really isn’t what caused me to go back and read it a few more times.

It was simply the content of it, and the heart that it was written from that made it stick.

You see, Habakkuk was sent to prophesy over God’s people. In this particular chapter, he was referring specifically to Judah, warning of their imminent destruction.

Habakkuk had cried out to God for a change of heart, that He would not destroy them. He actually said, in verse 2, “In wrath remember mercy”.

Habakkuk didn’t want to see his prophecy come to pass.

As he made his petitions known to God, and as he pleaded for God’s mercy over Judah, he ultimately came to the understanding that God is sovereign, and that His way is the right way.

It was then, after all of his pleading, praying and crying out to God, that he penned this prayer.

What struck me most about it is that he looked beyond the wrath of God and acknowledged that even if everything he knew was destroyed, God is still his strength, and he would still rejoice in Him.

This is important for all of us to understand and apply to our own lives.

It’s the “valley seasons” that show us who we really are in our walk with God. It’s those times when we feel like we can’t see beyond the smoke and the rubble of our own personal trials and fires that we need to reach deep down inside of ourselves and ask the Holy Spirit to help us get past ourselves and worship God for who He is.

Why? Because He is worthy, no matter what our lives may look like at that moment in time.

Paul summed it up quite nicely when he spoke these words:

Philippians 4:11 (NKJV) 11 Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content:

Let God be God. Let Him exercise His providence and His plans. His ways are righteous and true.

And let us be content in knowing this.
