Bible Verse of The Day – 5-31-20 – Confess With Your Mouth

Please click to watch the video now.Greetings in the name of Jesus.

Many years ago, we were taught that it is wrong and dangerous to speak any words that are negative. Doing so could lead to undesired things happening in our lives.

We eventually learned that this wasn’t scriptural, and we made adjustments to correct it, based on the leading of the Holy Spirit.

In today’s video, Confess With Your Mouth, we discuss this and use examples from scripture to show the truth about this topic.

We hope you will take a few minutes to watch and listen.

Please click here to watch the video now.

Enjoy your day.

Bible Verse of The Day – 5-30-20

Matthew 22:37-39 (NKJV) 37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’

Loving God is the key to follow and obeying His commandments. It is the very thing that will help us put our self aside and be able to love Him and our neighbor as He has asked us to.

If we don’t have such a love for God first, it’s impossible to love the way He has commanded us. It’s funny, loving God can move us toward living for Him, but yet we fight it.

We may ask, “why do we fight it?”

We fight usually because we care about ourselves and how we feel more than anything else. And how we feel is usually based on if we are happy about who we’ve become, how much we have and our appearance. Those are 3 big issues and can keep us from loving God and others the way we should.

We feel like if we are not happy with who we are, how can we truly love anyone? In this scripture, is there anything where it says, we have to love ourselves? No, it says to love God with basically everything and what is left is use toward loving our neighbor. Nothing is mention about having to love our self.

What God is showing us is the importance of our walk in this life with Him, is that our love should be directed and poured out for Him and others.

We don’t have to worry about loving ourselves, because His love for us is more than enough. All we need to know, to understand and believe is the love which He has for us and then share it. Amen.

1 John 4:16 (NKJV) 16 And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.

You my friend are loved more than you know.

Bible Verse of The Day – 5-29-20

Ephesians 1:3-4 (NKJV) 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love,

Without Christ, we are dirty, lost, poor, blind and without hope. We are separated from God, and we have nobody to blame but ourselves.

But let’s take a look at what happens to us when we become children of God.

Ephesians 1:3 says we are blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ!

We are blessed with what? Every spiritual blessing! We are blessed with whatever we need to thrive as a child of God.

So, what are these spiritual blessings?

Salvation, forgiveness, hope, love, joy, direct access to the Father, peace that surpasses understanding, and a list of other blessings too numerous to name are all ours as His children.

The moment we say “yes” to Him and put our faith in Him, these things all become ours, no questions asked.

And do you know what else happens? He removes the blame from us, making us holy in His sight!

Along with receiving forgiveness, we also get the blame removed from us, as our past sin is erased and we are made a holy, new creation in Christ.

2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV) 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

So, if we are struggling today with guilt and shame for our past sins, it’s time to put that behind us and give it to God.

He has already removed it from us. He has made us holy and blameless. It’s up to us to be willing to lay it down and let it go. We don’t need to drag it around with us any longer.

You are holy, and you are blameless, in the name of Jesus.

Bible Verse of The Day – 5-28-20

1 John 4:9 (NKJV) 9 In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.

Living through Him comes when we allow Jesus to change us and the way we look at things in life.

We live through Him by having our minds and hearts transformed.

Romans 12:2 (NKJV) 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

People may think that when Jesus changes us, our life comes to a complete stop. We can’t have fun. We have to be serious; we can’t have a sense of humor, etc.

There is no laughter. We have to be dressed just so and carry ourselves a certain way.

Basically, we think we have to walk around looking like there is no joy in life as a child of God.

But let me say, all that I have experienced in life through Christ has been most excellent in every way.

He brings such peace!

He brings a joy and love that we can’t experience without Him! He is satisfying to every inch of our being and in every area of our life.

He brings healing and restoration in those areas where we were once hurt, abused, scarred and left empty.

When we live though Him, we become more confident and stable, meaning we have purpose and direction.

Thank you, God, for your love for us, and for sending your only begotten son, that we may live through Him! It truly is the most awesome thing anyone could have done for us.

We love you, Papa!

Bible Verse of The Day – 5-27-20

Romans 2:11 (NKJV) 11 For there is no partiality with God.

Have you ever known another believer whom you initially admired for a certain skill or talent, but when you got to know them better, they drove you crazy?

Maybe their personality just doesn’t meld with yours. Maybe they’re loud and outgoing, whereas you’re quiet and withdrawn.

Maybe they’re perky and bubbly, but you’re soft-spoken and reserved.

Or maybe they’re methodical and timid, but you’re adventurous and love doing things on the spur of the moment!

We can all relate to this kind of scenario in one way or another. It has happened to all of us.

But here’s the thing that we need to remember; God made each and every one of us unique, and He loves every one of us the same, regardless of our quirks and idiosyncrasies!

And He will use each of us as He sees fit.

Sometimes we may not necessarily like the way a person does things. But that doesn’t mean that God shouldn’t use them. After all, He has His purposes and He shows no partiality toward anyone.

The best thing we can do is to let God be God, let Him choose a person He wants to use, and just enjoy the way He uses them for the gifts and talents He has blessed them with.

Amen

Bible Verse of The Day – 5-26-20

Hebrews 11:11 (NKJV) 11 By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised.

Sarah believed what God told her about having a son, even after she was past child-bearing age. She judged Him faithful of His promise to her and Sarah received her promised child.

Genesis 21:3 (NKJV) 3 And Abraham called the name of his son who was born to him—whom Sarah bore to him—Isaac.

What is God promising us today?

Did He tell us or give us vision for something that is way beyond what we can do, or can even imagine to be done with our limited resources or our situation?

What is His promise to us? Do we judge Him faithful? Do we trust that He can and He will do it?

Some say, “well maybe. But I’m not quite sure yet if He will do that for me. I just need a little glimpse of something to reassure me.”

No. That’s not trust. Where there is doubt, we are without. That’s just my own phrase.

I have seen God show up too many times in my life to doubt Him. He has changed the way I think and look at things. I don’t let my eyes, and what I see in the natural, be the final word in what will happen. No.

2 Corinthians 5:7 (NKJV) 7 For we walk by faith, not by sight.

God has a way of turning things around at any moment. He is amazing!

If we walk by sight, that is all we will see, exactly what is in front of us. That’s fine if that’s what we want.

But for me, I have always wanted to see what God will do in the moments that life says, “this is it for you, the end of the road.”

If we walk by faith, those little statements only cause us to rise up and get God’s word on the matter. We go after Him, seeking what it is that He has to say. If He says otherwise, we trust His word over anyone or anything else.

We judge Him faithful to keep and fulfill His promise, and we see the impossible happen right before our eyes.

Amen!

Bible Verse of The Day – 5-25-20

Galatians 4:28 (NKJV) 28 Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are children of promise.

As followers of Christ, we are children of promise.

We are heirs of the promises made to Abraham.

Why? Because we are spiritual heirs of Abraham.

Abraham had a special relationship with God. He believed God and had faith in Him in a time period long before Moses had come along.

Abraham exhibited that inward faith through his outward actions, by obeying God when he was told to do something or holding fast when God made him a promise.

Abraham trusted God!

It was that faith and trust that led him to receive Isaac, his son of promise, at the age of 100 years, through his wife, Sarah, who was also well beyond child-bearing years and who had been barren her entire life.

Because Abraham believed and trusted God, it was credited to him as righteousness. And this happened long before righteousness by faith was even understood by man.

Eventually, through Moses, The Law came along.

Man made the mistaken assumption that following The Law made them righteous. The Law, though, was actually written to show man their sinful state, and push them toward God in a way that would bring repentance, not haughty self-righteousness by way of pride for following the law religiously.

Thankfully, Jesus fulfilled The Law, bringing us back around to righteousness through faith.

So, as we walk out this life as believers, know that, as Abraham, we don’t live by what we see. We live by what God tells us, shows us and promises us.

It’s not always an easy walk. But as we do it, our faith and trust in God grows, drawing us closer and closer to Him.

Genesis 15:5-6 (NKJV) 5 Then He brought him outside and said, “Look now toward heaven, and count the stars if you are able to number them.” And He said to him, “So shall your descendants be.”

Bible Verse of The Day – 5-23-20

Isaiah 64:8 (NKJV) 8 But now, O Lord, You are our Father; We are the clay, and You our potter; And all we are the work of Your hand.

When we truly want what God wants for us, and we don’t make decisions based on our own natural understanding, but instead let His Spirit speak into every situation, He becomes the potter of our life and we become the clay.

We belong to Him and want to follow His commandments. We want to live our life in obedience to His word, and walk each day with Him.

We want to stop doing the wrong things in this life and focus on doing what’s right.

Romans 6:13 (NKJV) 13 And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.

Let us completely surrender our members as instruments to the Potter. Let Him shape our character. Let Him build every aspect of our life.

Let Him bring in those things that are good for us, and we will see the change in us and everything we touch, because He will be a part of it all!

His Hand will be with us.

Psalm 145:16 (NKJV) 16 You open Your hand And satisfy the desire of every living thing.

Bible Verse of The Day – 5-22-20

Galatians 1:15-17 (NKJV) 15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb and called me through His grace, 16 to reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately confer with flesh and blood, 17 nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went to Arabia, and returned again to Damascus.

Waiting on God, and understanding His timing, is probably one of the hardest things we can do as believers.

Our flesh almost always wants to act right away when we get understanding about something, or when we feel like we’re supposed to make a change. It’s just a natural reaction.

In the verses above, Paul talks about his conversion to Christianity, and what happened immediately afterward.

Most of us might think that Paul got knocked to the ground, met Jesus and then took off on his evangelistic journeys right away. This isn’t how it happened, though!

Immediately after his conversion, Paul was led to Damascus, and then spent three days waiting for Ananias to come and restore his sight. During that time, he neither ate nor drank.

Once Ananias came, and Paul’s sight was restored, he spent some time there with some of the other disciples, but then he left and wasn’t heard from again for 3 years!

During this time, Paul spent time in a wilderness area, being prepared for his ministry by God. It was only after this preparation period that he returned to Damascus, and then onward to Jerusalem, where he met with Peter and other disciples, face to face, for the first time.

God was preparing Paul for a mighty work. It was something that Paul would do for the remainder of his life here on earth. And he took the time necessary to wait on God to release Him into that work.

This is a great lesson for all of us to learn from, especially when it comes to understanding God’s timing, and the importance of waiting on God.

There will be times in our lives when God shows us something, and we see results, or take action, right away.

Then, there will be other times when He reveals something to us, and He wants us to wait, not doing anything or saying anything to anybody about it until He releases us to do so.

This is a very hard thing for us. We don’t always understand it, and we also wrestle with waiting.

But as we grow in our walk with Him, and we begin to get understanding in certain areas, we will begin to see this more clearly. We will also develop a better understanding of the importance of waiting on Him, not moving or speaking until He says to do so.

If Paul could wait three years, it’s pretty safe to say that we can probably wait, too.

Bible Verse of The Day – 5-21-20

Psalm 23:1-3 (NKJV) 1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. 3 He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake.

If the Lord is our shepherd, you better know He is going to care for us!

He is going to teach us to rest, through trusting His leading. He will keep us calm in the times of trial. He will keep us from wanting. He will protect and restore our life.

I have never had such a beautiful, more stable life as I have since I finally realized that worrying is wrong. It took me some time. I will admit it. But I get it now.

Worrying is not right, people!

The world worries, and boy can we feel it. But we are not of the world. Amen.

John 15:19 (NKJV) 19 If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.

We cannot keep participating in such behavior if we want to spread our wings and fly, so to speak.

I had to learn to stop worrying. It’s not easy. But just take a look at these verses and ask yourself, is He your shepherd?

If you answer “YES”, then look at what He says He will do for you if He is your Lord and your Shepherd. We need to prove our “yes” by not worrying.

You shall not want.

You will lie down in green pastures.

He will lead you by still waters.

He will restore your soul.

He will lead you in the paths of righteousness, for His name’s sake.

Take it one day at a time and remind yourself, no more worrying. He’s basically saying,” I’ve got you!”
