Bible Verse of The Day – 11-8-18

Romans 5:6 (NKJV) 6 For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

If something is done in due time, it’s the same as saying it is done in the right time.

Have you ever heard someone say that something will get done in due time? I have! I grew up in a family of 9 children.

“When will supper be ready, Mom? In due time. Help me set the table now”.

“When can I get those new shoes, Mom? In due time. Help put away the laundry now.”

“When can I start to date, Dad? In due time. Don’t worry about it. For now, go out and play” .

This was a pretty common phrase growing up in my family. All it meant was that it would happen in the right time and don’t question it. Of course, we didn’t like to hear that answer, because it didn’t seem like a straight-forward answer. However, it was indeed the answer we needed.

The scripture says that Jesus died for the ungodly in due time. In the right time. Before that, we were without strength and weak.

We don’t need to remain in this condition any longer. Through the death of Christ, His crucifixion, His righteous blood was sacrificed for us, so that we would be made whole and strong in Him.

Ephesians 6:10-11 (NKJV) 10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Due time is here and now. God made provision for us. Let us put on His whole armor today and walk in it. Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

Bible Verse of The Day – 11-7-18

1 Thessalonians 5:18 (NKJV) 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Thank you, God, for taking us through the storm.

There were days that we thought we were going to lose everything. But, even in that time You had brought us to a place where, even if that happened, we knew it would be OK because we still had You.

Thank you for training us up in the way we should go. Some things in this life are very tempting at times. But with Your deep impartation in our hearts You stand tall above the temptation and give us the strength to walk away and do the right thing.

Thank you God, for Your goodness day and night. Oh how we are safe with You! Nothing in this world can replace your faithfulness. Your love for us is more than enough.

We love You Lord. Thank you for being You. Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 11-6-18

Matthew 6:34 (NKJV) 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

Tomorrow. It’s a strange thing for sure.

Most of us live our lives looking forward to tomorrow. We plan for tomorrow. We save up for tomorrow. We worry about tomorrow.

But not a single one of us is even guaranteed that we will have a tomorrow. So, God wants us to learn to balance our tomorrows with our todays.

He wants us to learn to live in today, being thankful for the blessings we have, as we’re looking toward tomorrow expectantly, but without putting all of our hopes in tomorrow.

We live in the here and now. We wake each morning with a fresh day ahead of us. We literally don’t know what each day will bring.

Oh, we may think we know. But it’s not really in our hands to determine the outcome as much as we think it is.

James 4:13-14 (NKJV) 13 Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit”; 14 whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.

You see, sometimes things come along that we had no idea would happen. And if we’re not careful, our whole world can come crashing down around us because our hopes were placed so strongly in tomorrow that we forgot to live today.

We forgot to be thankful. We forgot to learn how to be content. We forgot to put God first in everything that we do. And our tomorrow became our sole focal point.

God wants us to change this up. He wants us to put our hope in Him, not in what we’re looking forward to tomorrow. He wants us to be thankful and content with what He has blessed us with today.

Yes, we should be diligent with what He has blessed us with. We should handle it carefully and endeavor to do with it what He shows us to do, including making sure we follow any strategies He has shown us to follow.

But these things should never cause us to be so focused on tomorrow that we’re shattered when something comes along that changes what our tomorrow looks like.

We can’t control tomorrow, even though we sometimes like to think we can. Our desire to control everything has to surrender to our trust in God. Our controlling nature must bow to the spirit of God and let Him lead us.

For people who like to be in charge (in control), this is usually a tough change. But it’s a necessity if we want to grow and mature as believers and learn to walk by faith, and not by sight.

2 Corinthians 5:7 (NKJV) 7 For we walk by faith, not by sight.

So, let’s let God teach us how to stop worrying about tomorrow. Today has enough things to tend to. We can tend to tomorrow when tomorrow arrives.

Bible Verse of The Day – 11-5-18

Romans 6:22 (NKJV) 22 But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life.

Fruit to holiness and everlasting life are beautiful gifts from God.

As we live the life He has for us, and we fight off the pressure of sin that tries to enslave us, we will walk in such beauty.

Life will always have its ugly struggles in one form or another. But we need to know and understand that no matter what comes against us, we now have the strength to fight back and beat it. God’s strength takes us above and beyond what we ever thought we could do.

No longer are we slaves to unrighteousness, but to God. He is the One we obey. He is the One who leads us… not temptation. We can beat temptation when we obey God’s voice.

In the heat of the moment, remember to push away sin and listen for the Holy Spirit. If we are paying attention and really want the help, He will help us and turn that situation around with His wisdom.

Bible Verse of The Day – 11-4-18 – The Key to Answered Prayers

Please click to watch the video now.Greetings in the name of Jesus!

We all pray for things. What we pray for varies greatly based on our situation and our needs. And we all hope that our prayers will be answered. And some of them do get answered. But how can our prayers be answered more consistently?

That’s the topic of today’s video,  The Key to Answered Prayers.

Please click here to watch the video now.

Many of us have been taught that we should have someone pray for us, and then we just leave it there, as we wait on God to answer. But this isn’t what God teaches us.

Please click here to watch the video now.

Others have been taught that we should have someone lay hands on us. And then we sit back and wait. This also is not always correct.

We hope today’s video will shed some light on some things that you may have questions about.

Please click here to watch the video now.

Trust God in all things and follow His leading.

Sincerely in Christ,

Bible Verse of The Day – 11-3-18

1 Thessalonians 5:11 (NKJV) 11 Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.

Today may be a hard day for you to face.

Maybe you lost someone dear to you. Maybe your job is at stake. Maybe your finances are in trouble. Maybe your child is sick. You may be facing a huge battle on a personal level.

Whatever this day brings your way, if you look to God for your answer, and you wait on Him to provide for you and bring it to fruition, you will make it through this.

You will look back and know that God did it.

Don’t be deceived into thinking that there is no other choice, that this is it. There is more to this life for you.

Believe today, you will not faint. Your situation will change and the personal battle that you face will come to an end. Follow His leading. He is faithful to deliver.

Be comforted and edified today. Our Redeemer lives.

Job 19:25 (NKJV) 25 For I know that my Redeemer lives, And He shall stand at last on the earth…

Bible Verse of The Day – 11-2-18

James 1:2 (NKJV) 26 If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless.

The word “think” in this verse is very important!

We think we are religious, but then we open our mouth every time we feel like it. We have no restraint on our lips, so we say what we please, when we please.

James is simply stating that we need to be careful what we say. We can’t just say what we think all the time and have no control over what comes out of our mouth.

We’re told that we need to bridle our tongue. But what does that mean?

A bridle is a headgear that a horse wears and is governed by. To bridle something means to restrain it, to have control over it.

We have to take full responsibility for our words. We need to govern or restrain our tongue, so that we just don’t say what we feel. Don’t allow it to get us caught up in gossip, trash talking, vulgarity or negative talk. We need to be slow to speak and quick to listen.

James 1:19 (NKJV) 19 So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath…

Have we ever said something, and then later on said, “oh boy, I wish I had never said that.”?

We can’t take back our words once they are said. Words are powerful and can do a lot of damage, or they can do a lot of good!

Proverbs 15:4 (NKJV) 4 A wholesome tongue is a tree of life, But perverseness in it breaks the spirit.

Let’s be careful what comes out of our mouths. We don’t want to cause destruction with our words. We want to be edifying, uplifting and encouraging with our words.

Bible Verse of The Day – 11-1-18

John 15:9 (NKJV) 9 “As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love.

The Father and Son had a very good relationship. They were so close to each other that the Son did everything His Father showed Him.

That’s the way it should be with us, as we grow in the things of God, that we aren’t just readers of His word, but doers as well.

James 1:22 (NKJV) 22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

We need to take what His word teaches us to do and follow the example set for us. Some things will be easy for us. Some things will be very hard.

We may want to try to push off the hard things and focus on the easier things, those things that come natural to us. They don’t require as much effort to follow through on.

We can’t let ourselves get stuck on just doing the things we are comfortable doing. Every once in a while, as the Holy Spirit leads us, we need to mix it up and try something that may be hard or a little uncomfortable.

In those times, it’s important to ask the Holy Spirit to help us wherever we may be lacking.

When we love someone, we will find ourselves wanting to obey them even more.

John 14:15 (NKJV) 15 “If you love Me, keep My commandments.
