Please click to watch the video nowGood day!

We trust that God is drawing you closer to Him and you are pressing in to Him each day.

Have you ever thought about the significance of your eyes and ears, and how much of an impact they have on your life?

We released a new video today that deals with this topic. We called the video “Eyes and Ears”.

Please click here to watch the video now.

Most of us pay very little attention to the things we see and the things we hear each day. But these things don’t leave us untouched or unaffected.

On the contrary, every little thing that we see and hear each day plays some part in shaping us, either for better or for worse.

Please click here to watch the video now.

So, we hope you’ll take a few minutes and give this a watch. We think it’ll be eye-opening, no pun intended!

Bible Verse of The Day – 9-29-18

Psalm 36:5 (NKJV) 5 Your mercy, O Lord, is in the heavens; Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.

God is alive in us as much as we let Him be.

He will speak to us and move through us. He will give us the strength we need to finish projects. He will give us the patience to stay in a place where we don’t want to be.

He will give us the very words and heart we need to have in order to deal with things when we have no idea what to do.

Listen, He will take us from being flat on our backs, looking up and having no clue what to do, to being able to stand on our two feet, put one foot in front of the other and start walking forward.

There is nothing, and we will say it again, NOTHING too big for God.

So, don’t wait and don’t hold off. Get with Him and let Him lead you. He is faithful to help us right where we stand today. Amen.

Matthew 11:28 (NKJV) 28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Bible Verse of The Day – 9-28-18

John 10:10 (NKJV) 10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

I was having a conversation recently with a young lady. We got on the subject of God. She said to me, “I get mad at God at times”. I said, “oh, really?”.

She said, “yes.” So I asked her, “what do you get mad about?”. She replied, “because He takes my family and friends.”

I looked at her and I said, “oh, God took your family and friends?”. She said, “yes! And I get mad at Him for it.”

I said, “the truth of the matter is, it is the devil that comes to steal, kill and destroy. But, God is our Healer, Restorer, Comforter, Father of peace, love and joy and so much more.”

She said, “can the devil come and take a loving, kind, sweet caring angel of a mother?” I said, “yes, he can and he will work hard to do so. That is his purpose and goal here on this earth. To bring destruction!”.

She wept as if she had never heard such a thing. All these years, she was blaming the wrong One.

I believe a lot people are angry with God because of their lost loved ones. It wasn’t just her. Many suffer from pain, sorrow, unforgiveness, bitterness and anger.

Some are so depressed they don’t even want to live anymore. All because they have their finger pointed at the wrong one. That is exactly what the devil wants, for us to be angry with God.

Why?

Because God is our Healer. Our broken hearts will be healed if we go to Him and ask Him for it. But, because we are angry, we won’t go. And we won’t get healed, comforted or restored.

We walk around feeling hurt and hopeless because of our lost ones. Our broken hearts have stopped beating.

God wants you to know today that He did not take away your loved one. And He will help you if you come to Him, through His Son, and receive healing today.

May your heart beat again, in the name of Jesus.

Bible Verse of The Day – 9-27-18

James 3:2 (NKJV) 2 For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body.

As a young child, I remember following my older siblings one day to an apple tree that belonged to our neighbor.

They helped me up into the tree and had me pick the apples and toss them down to them. It was fun and I was enjoying it!

Then I heard them yell, “quick, they’re home. Run!”.  But, they forgot one thing; ME! They left me in the tree.

The owner came to the tree and there I was, sitting in the tree, not knowing what was wrong. I just thought we were picking apples for Mom’s apple pie and that everything was happy and good.

They got me down from the tree and took me to my parents. Standing in front of my parents, I had to explain what I was doing in their tree.

I was sad after I learned what I was actually doing.

These are the consequences of following without understanding the how and why of it all. I was only little, but no matter the age, no matter the innocence, if we get caught up in the wrong place doing the wrong thing, there will be repercussions. Sometimes it can leave a scar.

There have been other times throughout my life when I blindly and innocently followed or got involved in things that I wished I hadn’t.

But, to hold onto those things as if they had just recently happened would be hurting and punishing me even more.

How do we change the past? How do we erase those things that came upon us innocently or unknowingly?

We cannot change the past. We can’t even change the future if we continue to wallow in the things that happened to us in the past.

We can only change today by taking that first step and letting the past be the past, and the future be the future.

We can’t be so hard on ourselves. Today is a new day. God wants to heal us.

Let go of what happened in the past and move on. Learn from it and try not to fall back into the same thing again. Take it one day at a time.

Bible Verse of The Day – 9-26-18

1 Thessalonians 5:17 (NKJV) 17 pray without ceasing…

Praying before we start each day will help us in so many ways. As we do so, it helps us to stay close to God. It can also help us avoid a lot of unnecessary things and dangers that we may encounter otherwise.

One morning I had picked up my Grandchildren. They wanted to spend some time with us.

On the way to our house, they wanted to go to the store. So, me being the Grandmommy, I said, “of course”.

As we got into the store, the kids walked ahead of us. They were close by, in sight and within hearing distance. But my granddaughter was out in the front of us all, heading toward the toy aisle. She was excited and smiling, knowing that she was going to get a little toy.

I then noticed a man around 30 – 35 years of age come in through a nearby entrance. He stood out to me because I could see him looking intently at my granddaughter, and I got an awful feeling in my stomach.

She turned to go to the toy aisle and he was right behind her, not realizing we were right behind them.

I immediately called her by name and she stopped. I said, “wait up for us.” He kept walking to where the toy aisles ended and then circled back around.

As we reached where she was, he walked by the aisle, looking down it to see if she was still alone. He realized she wasn’t alone and walked right back out the same door he came in. Everything about this encounter says that he was on a mission with evil intent.

I believe God protected her that day. And that is what prayer does. I am so very thankful and I don’t take it for granted.

As we pray in the name of Jesus Christ, God moves! Giants fall, situations change, healing comes, victory comes, restoration and protection take place.

Colossians 4:2 (NKJV) 2 Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving.

God is faithful!! Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 9-25-18

Philippians 4:8 (NKJV) 8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.

When our attitude has been tainted from things that have been said and done to us, how do we bring ourselves to meditate on these things?

Sometimes we just want to let loose, say what we want to say, tell everyone exactly what we’re thinking, and move on.

We may think this will bring us great satisfaction. But, I have experienced that the aftereffect of this kind of behavior is worse when we realize that what we just did or said disappointed our Father in Heaven.

It’s not worth it to let loose and throw away what God taught us; to pull back and wait on Him.

There is a person that frequently tries to catch me off guard. There is a particular subject that we should not discuss when we are together. Why? Because we disagree.

But, every so often they will bring it up, hoping I will change my opinion. It usually causes tension and hurt feelings. So, I have learned to simply let them say what they want and then not respond to it.

It is the hardest thing to do. I love this person dearly and don’t want any hard feelings between us. But there are times when they just don’t know when to stop.  Can anyone relate?

They know where I stand regarding this particular subject. I can’t and won’t force them to agree with me. And they should not do the same to me.

This verse is a good one to hold onto to. It will help us to remain strong in God in those tension-filled moments.

If we feel like we are going to let loose on someone, and we know it’s not going to be good, take this verse and run to a place where we can get quiet for just a few minutes and gain control.

Direct our focus onto that which is true, noble, just, pure, lovely, of good report, of virtue, and praiseworthy. Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 9-24-18

Numbers 20:7-8 (NKJV) 7 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 8 “Take the rod; you and your brother Aaron gather the congregation together. Speak to the rock before their eyes, and it will yield its water;

Moses was under intense pressure from the Israelites to provide them with water. The people were angry for being led into the wilderness, and they were now thirsty, as were their animals.

So, Moses and Aaron left the people and fell on their faces at the door of the tabernacle, seeking God and asking Him to help them in their situation.

God, in His faithfulness, appeared to them and instructed Moses to pick up his staff, go to the people and bring them to a rock. At that rock, Moses was instructed to speak to the rock, and water would flow out of it.

So Moses gathered the people and went to the rock, as God had told him to do.

But here’s where Moses got himself into trouble. Instead of speaking to the rock and bringing honor to God, he raised his staff and struck the rock, twice. Despite the error on the part of Moses, God caused water to flow from the rock.

Numbers 20:11 (NKJV) 11 Then Moses lifted his hand and struck the rock twice with his rod; and water came out abundantly, and the congregation and their animals drank.

But God held Moses accountable for his disobedience, and there was a price to pay for it. Neither he nor Aaron would enter into the land of promise.

Numbers 20:12 (NKJV) 12 Then the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, “Because you did not believe Me, to hallow Me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.”

It’s critical that we not get hung up on how God has done something for us in the past and try to force Him to do it the same way next time around. God is very specific in His instructions to us, and He wants us to follow them.

We may not always understand why He wants this, but it’s very important, nonetheless, that we do what He wants, the way He wants it done. Not doing so can be costly for us in many different ways.

Several years ago, we heard God tell us something. We thought that it couldn’t possibly be God telling us this thing. It just didn’t make sense. So, we didn’t do what we thought we heard.

We found out later on that not doing so had cost us a lot of money. God helped us overcome it, in only the way that God can. But it was still very costly for us.

Obedience is always best.

Bible Verse of The Day – 9-23-18 – Speak to The Rock

Please click to watch the video now.Greetings in the name of Jesus!

God is very specific when He gives us instructions. When he asks us to do something, He will usually tell us how He wants it done. So it’s important that we follow His instructions.

Our newest video discusses this, using Moses as an example.

Please click here to watch the video now.

It is recorded twice in the Old Testament that God used Moses to supply water to the Israelites. Both times, God told Moses exactly how He wanted it done.

Moses had a choice as to whether to obey God or do it it his own way. What did he do? Did he do it God’s way or his way?

Bible Verse of The Day – 9-22-18

1 Peter 5:8 (NKJV) 8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

We have an enemy. And he has one purpose; to destroy us.

That may sound morbid, scary, frightening, or a large number of any other less-than-positive adjectives. But it’s the truth.

We are engaged in spiritual warfare each and every day, whether we realize it or not. Beyond what we can see with our eyes, there is a world of activity that we can’t see, where war is being waged for the souls of man.

It is for this reason that we must be sober and vigilant, to be able to discern and fend off the attacks that come against us in the spiritual realm.

It’s important to note that being sober isn’t just referring to refraining from being drunk. Self-controlled and alert might be good alternative words to use. We must be able to make sound judgments and be able to discern those things coming against us.

Doing so will allow us to fight them effectively and ward off their attacks victoriously.

Being alert and able to defend ourselves in advance is always better than having to pick up the pieces from an attack that we aren’t prepared for.

As we spend time in God’s word and let it become a part of us, we will find ourselves being more vigilant and alert every day, being armed with the knowledge and understanding that God imparts into us through His word.

And as we press into Him, spending time learning of Him and growing in our relationship with Him, we will become stronger and more confident in who God is in us.

We will become strong, vigilant and courageous children of God.

Joshua 1:9 (NLT) 9 This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

Bible Verse of The Day – 9-21-18

Acts 16:25-26 (NKJV) 25 But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. 26 Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed.

Where does prayer and singing come from when all is going wrong? It comes from His Spirit that lives, moves and breathes in us. It rises above our circumstances and our situations.

When we are in a predicament and we can’t see the light, what direction to go or the reason why we are even going through it, we need to stop trying to figure it out. That is the biggest distraction the devil will use on us.

Put it aside and start praying and singing to God. Start thanking Him that He is going to see us through it.

Whatever is going on right now, He knew it was going to take place before it even happened. He has a plan and we need to let Him work it out.

Can we find a song within us? Can we stop trying to figure things out long enough to let it rise up? Can we push back the voices and the lies that try to cause us to go deeper and deeper into depression or wear ourselves out with anxiety?

Paul and Silas had just been beaten with rods and thrown into prison. For what? They had done nothing wrong, (Acts 16:16-24).

They couldn’t spend time thinking and pondering about it. They had to go beyond what their bodies were feeling, and what they were thinking, in order to let the Spirit of God turn it around for them.

They let Him continue to work in them even through their physical pain and tattered emotions. By doing so, not only did God set them free, but He brought deliverance to others that were around them.

The prison guard and his whole household were saved!

How we act in a time of crisis, hardship or mistreatment is crucial. As believers, we must be strong in God and let Him guide us and show us the proper way to carry ourselves, despite the unfair treatment we may be enduring.

We don’t know the victory that will come from it, not only for us, but others that are involved.

Lift up our voices today. Pray and sing. It will break those chains supernaturally and open the doors to freedom!! Amen.

Psalm 121:1-2 (NKJV) 1 I will lift up my eyes to the hills— From whence comes my help? 2 My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.

Bible Verse of The Day – 9-20-18

Psalm 91:1-2 (NKJV) 1 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.”

Dwell means to remain, to live or to direct attention to.

If we remain, live or direct our attention to God, the Most High, He promises we shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

If I could say it how I see it in just three words, I would say “We are SAFE!”. Everyone wants to be safe, right?

The key thing is remaining there. We can’t let ourselves get pulled out, distracted or too busy. We have to spend some quality Father time.

It doesn’t always have to be the same time every day, for the same number of minutes, hours, etc. But, we should be sure to make the time.

Are we arguing a lot in our marriage these days? Get under the shadow of the Almighty.

Are we struggling with work situations? Get under the shadow of the Almighty.

Are we lost in everyday life, confused and feeling like we’re never completing or accomplishing anything? Get under the shadow of the Almighty.

Are we living our life loosely, with no direction and no boundaries? Are we just carefree, doing what we want, not letting anyone tell us anything? If so, our life is probably pretty messed up. Get under the shadow of the Almighty.

God never gives up on us. He is our refuge. Get into that secret place.
