(Gal 6:2 NKJV)  Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

It’s very important that we learn to bear each other’s burdens.

God has created us as a body, not as a large group of rugged individualists who are supposed to be self-sufficient.

We all know someone with a need. We all know someone who is going through a tough time, or a trial of some kind.

But when was the last time we offered help to any of these people?

Just as we learned in Saturday’s verse about sowing seeds, we also need to be willing to give of ourselves and our resources to those around us who need it. It’s actually another facet of sowing and reaping,

Take a look at those around you today. See if there is someone who is going through a tough time or a trial of some kind and then ask God what you can do to show His love to them.

Your Daily Bible Verse

(Gal 6:8 NKJV)  For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.

Let me ask you a question today.

Is there something that you wish to reap? Is there something that you hope to have?

What seeds have you been sowing for this harvest that you’re looking for?

There are some of us who want people to be kind to us. Are we sowing seeds if kindness to others?

There are some of us who want to be loved. Are we sowing seeds of love to those around us, regardless of who they are or how lovable they are?

I know there are very many of us who would like to have more finances. We want to get out of debt and be financially free. Are we sowing seeds of finances? Are we giving of our money?

Here’s the thing that so often gets overlooked, even though it’s a very simple Biblical principle.

Whatever it is that we’re looking to reap, that is the very thing that we need to be sowing. We will never reap kindness if we’re unkind to those around us. We will never reap love if we’re hateful to people. We will never reap finances if we’re cheap and stingy with our own finances.

Watermelon seeds grow watermelons. Corn seeds grow corn. Apple seeds grow apples.

I know this seems so very basic, but it’s a foundational truth that we all need to get.

Stop and ask yourself what it is that you’ve been hoping to get. And then ask yourself if you’ve been sowing that seed.

Your Daily Bible Verse

(Mat 7:7 NKJV) “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

Be careful when we ask God for something, knowing that He will answer us, that we don’t try to put a demand on Him as to when He will do it.

The timing of our answered prayer is in His hands and the way He wants to answer it is also in His hands.

His word says…ask, and it will be given to you…not, ask and tell me when and how we would like it done. No!

What happens when we put improper demands on God? It can cause us to fall into depression, ungratefulness, negativity and disappointment, to the point where we can lose our JOY and our faith. It can cause us to get angry with God and actually turn our backs on Him.

Take time today to be thankful for whatever God wants to give to us and for what He has done for us already.

Don’t lose sight of His most precious gift to us…His Son.

Your Daily Bible Verse

(Psa 100:4 NKJV) Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.

It doesn’t matter whether we are in the season of feast or the season of famine, we can always find something to be thankful for.

God is a good God and no matter how many things we can find wrong with something, if we look closely we can find something good too. It may take a little more effort to find it sometimes, especially if we are always looking for the downside of things. It will take exercising our brains and our faith to look for the upside of things as well.

I’m not saying we shouldn’t notice the downside, but what I’m saying is we shouldn’t be so focused on always looking for it that we become negative all the time and never be thankful for the good that may be there.

Noticing the downside of things is really a way to know how to pray for something or a particular situation. Once we pray for it, we need to begin to rejoice and trust that God is faithful to answer our prayers.

Start thanking Him and praising Him today!
